Acts 28
1 When we had escaped, then they learnt that the island was called Malta.
| و چون رستگار شدند، یافتند که جزیره ملیطه نام دارد. | ۱ |
2 The natives showed us uncommon kindness; for they kindled a fire and received us all, because of the present rain and because of the cold.
| و آن مردمان بربری باما کمال ملاطفت نمودند، زیرا به‌سبب باران که می‌بارید و سرما آتش افروخته، همه ما راپذیرفتند. | ۲ |
3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand.
| چون پولس مقداری هیزم فراهم کرده، بر آتش می‌نهاد، به‌سبب حرارت، افعی‌ای بیرون آمده، بر دستش چسپید. | ۳ |
4 When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped from the sea, yet Justice has not allowed to live.”
| چون بربریان جانور را از دستش آویخته دیدند، با یکدیگرمی گفتند: «بلاشک این شخص، خونی است که بااینکه از دریا رست، عدل نمی گذارد که زیست کند.» | ۴ |
5 However he shook off the creature into the fire, and wasn’t harmed.
| اما آن جانور را در آتش افکنده، هیچ ضرر نیافت. | ۵ |
6 But they expected that he would have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but when they watched for a long time and saw nothing bad happen to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.
| پس منتظر بودند که او آماس کند یابغته افتاده، بمیرد. ولی چون انتظار بسیار کشیدندو دیدند که هیچ ضرری بدو نرسید، برگشته گفتندکه خدایی است. | ۶ |
7 Now in the neighbourhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us and courteously entertained us for three days.
| و در آن نواحی، املاک رئیس جزیره که پوبلیوس نام داشت بود که او ما را به خانه خودطلبیده، سه روز به مهربانی مهمانی نمود. | ۷ |
8 The father of Publius lay sick of fever and dysentery. Paul entered in to him, prayed, and laying his hands on him, healed him.
| ازقضا پدر پوبلیوس را رنج تب و اسهال عارض شده، خفته بود. پس پولس نزد وی آمده و دعاکرده ودست بر او گذارده، او را شفا داد. | ۸ |
9 Then when this was done, the rest also who had diseases in the island came and were cured.
| و چون این امر واقع شد، سایر مریضانی که در جزیره بودند آمده، شفا یافتند. | ۹ |
10 They also honoured us with many honours; and when we sailed, they put on board the things that we needed.
| و ایشان ما را اکرام بسیار نمودند و چون روانه می‌شدیم، آنچه لازم بود برای ما حاضر ساختند. | ۱۰ |
11 After three months, we set sail in a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in the island, whose figurehead was “The Twin Brothers.”
| و بعد از سه ماه به کشتی اسکندریه که علامت جوزا داشت و زمستان را در جزیره بسربرده بود، سوار شدیم. | ۱۱ |
12 Touching at Syracuse, we stayed there three days.
| و به‌سراکوس فرودآمده، سه روز توقف نمودیم. | ۱۲ |
13 From there we circled around and arrived at Rhegium. After one day, a south wind sprang up, and on the second day we came to Puteoli,
| و از آنجا دورزده، به ریغیون رسیدیم و بعد از یک روز بادجنوبی وزیده، روز دوم وارد پوطیولی شدیم. | ۱۳ |
14 where we found brothers, and were entreated to stay with them for seven days. So we came to Rome.
| و در آنجا برادران یافته، حسب خواهش ایشان هفت روز ماندیم و همچنین به روم آمدیم. | ۱۴ |
15 From there the brothers, when they heard of us, came to meet us as far as The Market of Appius and The Three Taverns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.
| وبرادران آنجا چون از احوال ما مطلع شدند، به استقبال ما بیرون آمدند تا فورن اپیوس و سه دکان. و پولس چون ایشان را دید، خدا را شکر نموده، قوی‌دل گشت. | ۱۵ |
16 When we entered into Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Paul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier who guarded him.
| و چون به روم رسیدیم، یوزباشی زندانیان را به‌سردار افواج خاصه سپرد. اما پولس را اجازت دادند که با یک سپاهی که محافظت او می‌کرد، در منزل خودبماند. | ۱۶ |
17 After three days Paul called together those who were the Jewish leaders. When they had come together, he said to them, “I, brothers, though I had done nothing against the people or the customs of our fathers, still was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,
| و بعد از سه روز، پولس بزرگان یهود راطلبید و چون جمع شدند به ایشان گفت: «ای برادران عزیز، با وجودی که من هیچ عملی خلاف قوم و رسوم اجداد نکرده بودم، همانا مرا در اورشلیم بسته، به‌دستهای رومیان سپردند. | ۱۷ |
18 who, when they had examined me, desired to set me free, because there was no cause of death in me.
| ایشان بعد از تفحص چون در من هیچ علت قتل نیافتند، اراده کردند که مرا رها کنند. | ۱۸ |
19 But when the Judeans spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything about which to accuse my nation.
| ولی چون یهود مخالفت نمودند، ناچار شده به قیصررفع دعوی کردم، نه تا آنکه از امت خود شکایت کنم. | ۱۹ |
20 For this cause therefore I asked to see you and to speak with you. For because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.”
| اکنون بدین جهت خواستم شما راملاقات کنم و سخن گویم زیرا که بجهت امیداسرائیل، بدین زنجیر بسته شدم.» | ۲۰ |
21 They said to him, “We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor did any of the brothers come here and report or speak any evil of you.
| وی راگفتند: «ما هیچ نوشته در حق تو از یهودیه نیافته‌ایم و نه کسی از برادرانی که از آنجا آمدند، خبری یا سخن بدی درباره تو گفته است. | ۲۱ |
22 But we desire to hear from you what you think. For, as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.”
| لیکن مصلحت دانستیم از تو مقصود تو را بشنویم زیراما را معلوم است که این فرقه را در هر جا بدمی گویند.» | ۲۲ |
23 When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about God’s Kingdom, and persuading them concerning Yeshua, both from the Torah of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.
| پس چون روزی برای وی معین کردند، بسیاری نزد او به منزلش آمدند که برای ایشان به ملکوت خدا شهادت داده، شرح می‌نمود و ازتورات موسی و انبیا از صبح تا شام درباره عیسی اقامه حجت می‌کرد. | ۲۳ |
24 Some believed the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.
| پس بعضی به سخنان اوایمان آوردند و بعضی ایمان نیاوردند. | ۲۴ |
25 When they didn’t agree amongst themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one message: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
| و چون با یکدیگر معارضه می‌کردند، از او جدا شدند بعداز آنکه پولس این یک سخن را گفته بود که «روح‌القدس به وساطت اشعیای نبی به اجداد مانیکو خطاب کرده، | ۲۵ |
26 saying, ‘Go to this people and say, in hearing, you will hear, but will in no way understand. In seeing, you will see, but will in no way perceive.
| گفته است که “نزد این قوم رفته بدیشان بگو به گوش خواهید شنید ونخواهید فهمید و نظر کرده خواهید نگریست ونخواهید دید؛ | ۲۶ |
27 For this people’s heart has grown callous. Their ears are dull of hearing. Their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, then I would heal them.’
| زیرا دل این قوم غلیظ شده و به گوشهای سنگین می‌شنوند و چشمان خود را برهم نهاده‌اند، مبادا به چشمان ببینند و به گوشهابشنوند و به دل بفهمند و بازگشت کنند تا ایشان راشفا بخشم.” | ۲۷ |
28 “Be it known therefore to you that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”
| پس بر شما معلوم باد که نجات خدا نزد امت‌ها فرستاده می‌شود و ایشان خواهندشنید.» | ۲۸ |
29 When he had said these words, the Jews departed, having a great dispute amongst themselves.
| چون این را گفت یهودیان رفتند و بایکدیگر مباحثه بسیار می‌کردند. | ۲۹ |
30 Paul stayed two whole years in his own rented house and received all who were coming to him,
| اما پولس دوسال تمام در خانه اجاره‌ای خود ساکن بود و هرکه به نزد وی می‌آمد، می‌پذیرفت. | ۳۰ |
31 proclaiming God’s Kingdom and teaching the things concerning the Lord Yeshua the Messiah with all boldness, without hindrance.
| و به ملکوت خدا موعظه می‌نمود و با کمال دلیری درامور عیسی مسیح خداوند بدون ممانعت تعلیم می‌داد. | ۳۱ |
