< 2 Corinthians 10 >
1 Now I Paul, myself, entreat you by the humility and gentleness of Messiah, I who in your presence am lowly amongst you, but being absent am bold towards you.
Ma mụ onwe m bụ Pọl, ji ịdị nwayọọ na obi umeala nke Kraịst na-arịọ unu. Mụ, onye na-adị umeala mgbe mụ na unu nọ nʼihu nʼihu, ma na-enwe mkwuwa okwu nʼebe unu nọ mgbe m na-anọghị nʼetiti unu.
2 Yes, I beg you that I may not, when present, show courage with the confidence with which I intend to be bold against some, who consider us to be walking according to the flesh.
Arịọ m unu, ka m ghara inwe obi ike mgbe m bịarutere dịka o kwesiri nʼebe ụfọdụ ndị nọ, site na iguzogide ndị ahụ na-eche na anyị na-eme ihe dị ka ndị ụwa si eme ya.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh;
Ọ bụ ezie na anyị na-ebi dịka mmadụ, ma anyị adịghị ebu agha dịka usoro anụ ahụ si dị.
4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,
Nʼihi na ngwa agha anyị ji ebu agha, abụghị ngwa agha nke mmadụ nkịtị nke ụwa, kama ha nwere ike nke mmụọ ịla ebe niile e wusiri ike nʼiyi.
5 throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Messiah,
Anyị na-ala ịrụ ụka niile na okwu ụgha niile nʼiyi, nke na-egbochiri ụmụ mmadụ ụzọ e si amata Chineke, na-eme ka echiche niile hulata isi nʼokpuru Kraịst.
6 and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience when your obedience is made full.
Anyị nọ na njikere ịta erubeghị isi niile ahụhụ, mgbe irube isi gị zuruoke.
7 Do you look at things only as they appear in front of your face? If anyone trusts in himself that he is Messiah’s, let him consider this again with himself, that even as he is Messiah’s, so we also are Messiah’s.
8 For even if I boast somewhat abundantly concerning our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for casting you down, I will not be ashamed,
Ugbu a, ọ bụrụ na m anya isi banyere ikike ahụ Onyenwe anyị nyere m nʼebe unu nọ, ike ahụ o nyere m iji wulie unu elu, ọ bụghị iji wedaa unu ala, ihere agaghị eme m nʼihi nke a.
9 that I may not seem as if I desire to terrify you by my letters.
Achọghị ka ọ dịka m a ga-asị na m sitere nʼakwụkwọ ozi m na-emenye unu egwu.
10 For, “His letters”, they say, “are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech is despised.”
11 Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such are we also in deed when we are present.
Ma ana m eme ka ndị dị otu a ghọta na ihe anyị na-ekwu site nʼakwụkwọ ozi mgbe anyị na-anọghị nʼetiti unu, ka anyị ga-eme ma anyị nọrọ nʼetiti unu.
12 For we are not bold to number or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But they themselves, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding.
Anyị enweghị anya ike ihazi ọnọdụ maọbụ were onwe anyị tụnyere ndị ụfọdụ na ndị ahụ nʼeto onwe ha.
13 But we will not boast beyond proper limits, but within the boundaries with which God appointed to us, which reach even to you.
Ma anyị onwe anyị, adịghị anya isi banyere ihe ọbụla anyị na-enweghị ike ime. Kama anyị ga-anya isi nʼoke ọrụ ahụ Chineke kenyere anyị, ka anyị rụrụte ọ bụladị ruo nʼebe unu nọ.
14 For we don’t stretch ourselves too much, as though we didn’t reach to you. For we came even as far as to you with the Good News of Messiah,
Nʼihi na anyị adịghị ekwu okwu karịrị ọnụ anyị mgbe anyị na-etinye anya nʼihe gbasara unu, nʼihi na ọ bụ anyị buru ụzọ bịakwute unu, ikwusara unu oziọma gbasara Kraịst.
15 not boasting beyond proper limits in other men’s labours, but having hope that as your faith grows, we will be abundantly enlarged by you in our sphere of influence,
16 so as to proclaim the Good News even to the parts beyond you, not to boast in what someone else has already done.
Nke a ga-eme ka anyị nwee ike zisaa oziọma ahụ na mba ndị ọzọ ndị dị nʼofe ala unu, ghara iji ọrụ arụrụ nʼebe ndị ọzọ na-arụ ọrụ na-etu ọnụ.
17 But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
Ma, “Onye ọbụla na-anya isi, ya nyaa nʼime Onyenwe anyị.”
18 For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
