< 2 Chronicles 7 >
1 Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the LORD’s glory filled the house.
Awo Sulemaani bwe yamaliriza esaala ye, omuliro ne guva mu ggulu ne gwokya ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa ne ssaddaaka era n’ekitiibwa kya Mukama ne kijjula eyeekaalu.
2 The priests could not enter into the LORD’s house, because the LORD’s glory filled the LORD’s house.
Bakabona ne batayinza kuyingira mu yeekaalu ya Mukama kubanga ekitiibwa kya Mukama kyajjula eyeekaalu ya Mukama.
3 All the children of Israel looked on, when the fire came down, and the LORD’s glory was on the house. They bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, worshipped, and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever!”
Awo Abayisirayiri bonna bwe baalaba omuliro nga gukka, n’ekitiibwa kya Mukama nga kiri ku yeekaalu, ne bavuunama ku lubalaza ng’amaaso gaabwe gatunudde wansi ne basinza era ne beebaza Mukama nga boogera nti, “Mulungi, era okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
4 Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
Awo kabaka n’abantu bonna, ne baweerayo ssaddaaka mu maaso ga Mukama.
5 King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God’s house.
Kabaka Sulemaani n’awaayo ssaddaaka ey’ente ezawera emitwalo ebiri, n’endiga n’embuzi emitwalo kkumi n’ebiri. Awo kabaka n’abantu bonna ne bawonga eyeekaalu ya Mukama.
6 The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to give thanks to the LORD, when David praised by their ministry, saying “For his loving kindness endures forever.” The priests sounded shofars before them; and all Israel stood.
Bakabona ne bayimirira mu bifo byabwe, n’Abaleevi nabo mu bifo byabwe nga bakutte ebivuga bya Mukama, kabaka Dawudi bye yali akoze olw’okutenderezanga Mukama, buli lwe yeebazanga Mukama ng’agamba nti, “Okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.” Ku luuyi olwaddirira Abaleevi, bakabona ne bafuuwa amakondeere, Isirayiri yenna n’ayimirira.
7 Moreover Solomon made the middle of the court that was before the LORD’s house holy; for there he offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, the meal offering, and the fat.
Sulemaani n’atukuza oluggya olwa wakati olwali mu maaso ga yeekaalu ya Mukama, era eyo n’aweerayo ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa n’amasavu ag’ebiweebwayo olw’emirembe kubanga ku kyoto eky’ekikomo kye yali akoze kwali tekugyako biweebwayo byokebwa n’ebiweebwayo ebyobutta, n’ebitundu n’amasavu.
8 So Solomon held the feast at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt.
Era mu kiseera kyekimu Sulemaani n’akuuma embaga eyo okumala ennaku musanvu, ne Isirayiri yenna wamu naye, n’ekibiina ekinene ennyo okuva awayingirirwa e Kamasi okutuuka ku kagga ak’e Misiri.
9 On the eighth day, they held a solemn assembly; for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
Ku lunaku olw’omunaana ne bakuba olukuŋŋaana, kubanga baali bajjagulizza okuwongebwa kw’ekyoto ennaku musanvu, n’embaga ennaku endala musanvu.
10 On the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that the LORD had shown to David, to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
Ku lunaku olw’amakumi abiri mu esatu olw’omwezi ogw’omusanvu, Kabaka Sulemaani n’asindika abantu baddeyo ewaabwe, era ne bagenda nga basanyufu era nga bajaguza mu mitima gyabwe olw’obulungi bwa Mukama bwe yalaga Dawudi ne Sulemaani n’abantu be Isirayiri.
11 Thus Solomon finished the LORD’s house and the king’s house; and he successfully completed all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the LORD’s house and in his own house.
Awo Sulemaani bwe yamaliriza eyeekaalu ya Mukama, n’olubiri lwa kabaka, era ng’amalirizza n’ebyo byonna bye yali ateeseteese mu mutima gwe okukola mu yeekaalu ya Mukama ne mu lubiri lwa kabaka,
12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for myself for a house of sacrifice.
Mukama n’amulabikira mu kiro n’amugamba nti, “Mpulidde okusaba kwo, era neerobozza gye ndi ekifo kino okuba eyeekaalu ey’okuweerangamu ssaddaaka.
13 “If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence amongst my people,
“Bwe nnaggalangawo eggulu enkuba n’etatonnya, oba ne ndagira enzige okulya ensi oba ne nsindikira abantu bange kawumpuli,
14 if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
abantu bange abatuumiddwa erinnya lyange bwe baneetowazanga, ne basaba, ne banoonya amaaso gange, ne bakyuka okuleka amakubo gaabwe amakyamu, kale nnaawuliranga nga nsinziira mu ggulu ne nsonyiwa ekibi kyabwe era ne mponya ensi yaabwe.
15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer that is made in this place.
Era amaaso gange ganaazibukanga, n’amatu gange ganaawuliranga esaala ezinaawebwangayo mu kifo kino.
16 For now I have chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.
Nnonze era neewongedde yeekaalu eno, Erinnya lyange libeerenga omwo ennaku zonna. Amaaso gange n’omutima gwange binaabeeranga omwo ekiseera kyonna.
17 “As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,
“Bw’onootambuliranga mu maaso gange nga Dawudi kitaawo bwe yakola, n’okola bye nkulagira byonna, n’okuuma ebiragiro byange n’amateeka gange,
18 then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, according as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.’
ndinyweza entebe ey’obwakabaka bwo, nga bwe nalagaana ne Dawudi kitaawo bwe nayogera nti, ‘Tolirema kuba na musika alifuga Isirayiri.’
19 But if you turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
“Naye bwe munaakyuka ne muva ku mateeka gange n’ebiragiro byange bye mbawadde, ne mugenda okuweereza bakatonda abalala ne mubasinza,
20 then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword amongst all peoples.
ndisiguukulula Isirayiri okuva mu nsi yange, gye mbawadde, era sirifaayo na ku yeekaalu eno gye neewongera olw’Erinnya lyange. Ndigifuula ekisekererwa era ekinyoomebwa mu mawanga gonna.
21 This house, which is so high, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house?’
Newaakubadde nga yeekaalu eno eyatiikiridde nnyo, abaliyitawo bonna balyewuunya, nga boogera nti, ‘Lwaki Mukama akoze ekifaanana bwe kiti ku nsi eno ne ku yeekaalu eno?’
22 They shall answer, ‘Because they abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and took other gods, worshipped them, and served them. Therefore he has brought all this evil on them.’”
Abantu baliddamu nti, ‘Kubanga baava ku Mukama, Katonda wa bajjajjaabwe eyabaggya mu Misiri, ne bagoberera bakatonda abalala, nga babasinza era nga babaweereza, kyavudde abaleetako emitawaana gino gyonna, ginnamuzisa.’”
