< 2 Chronicles 27 >
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.
Yosamu yali wa myaka amakumi abiri mu etaano, bwe yalya obwakabaka, n’afugira mu Yerusaalemi emyaka kkumi na mukaaga. Nnyina ye yali Yerusa muwala wa Zadooki.
2 He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, according to all that his father Uzziah had done. However he didn’t enter into the LORD’s temple. The people still acted corruptly.
Newaakubadde ng’abantu beeyongera okukola ebitali bya butuukirivu, Yosamu yakola ebirungi mu maaso ga Mukama, nga kitaawe Uzziya bwe yakola; naye obutafaanana nga kitaawe bwe yakola, teyayingira mu yeekaalu ya Mukama.
3 He built the upper gate of the LORD’s house, and he built much on the wall of Ophel.
N’addaabiriza Omulyango ogw’Ekyengulu ogwa yeekaalu ya Mukama, ate era n’akola omulimu munene ogw’okuddaabiriza bbugwe wa Oferi.
4 Moreover he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers.
N’azimba n’ebibuga mu nsozi za Yuda, ate mu bibira n’azimbamu ebigo n’asimbamu n’eminaala.
5 He also fought with the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against them. The children of Ammon gave him the same year one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat, and ten thousand cors of barley. The children of Ammon also gave that much to him in the second year, and in the third.
Yosamu n’alwana ne kabaka w’Abamoni n’amuwangula, era omwaka ogwo Abamoni ne bamuwa ttani ssatu eza ffeeza ne desimoolo nnya, n’ebigero by’eŋŋaano obukadde bubiri mu emitwalo amakumi abiri, n’ebigero bya sayiri obukadde bubiri mu emitwalo amakumi abiri. Abamoni ne bamuleeteranga ebintu byebimu mu bigero byebimu mu mwaka ogwokubiri ne mu mwaka ogwokusatu.
6 So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before the LORD his God.
Yosamu n’aba n’obuyinza bungi kubanga yatambuliranga mu makubo ga Mukama Katonda we.
7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
Ebyafaayo ebirala ebyabaawo mu mirembe gya Yosamu, entalo ze yalwana, ne bye yakola, byawandiikibwa mu kitabo kya Bassekabaka ba Isirayiri ne Yuda.
8 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
Yosamu yali wa myaka amakumi abiri mu etaano bwe yalya obwakabaka, era n’afugira emyaka kkumi na mukaaga mu Yerusaalemi.
9 Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in David’s city; and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
Ne yeebakira wamu ne bajjajjaabe, n’aziikibwa mu Kibuga kya Dawudi; Akazi mutabani we n’amusikira.
