1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim Zophim, of the hill country of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.
Akwai wani mutum daga Ramatayim, mutumin Zuf daga ƙasar tuddan Efraim, sunansa Elkana, ɗan Yeroham, shi jikan Elihu ɗan Tohu, tattaɓa kunnen Zuf, mutumin Efraim.
2 He had two wives. The name of one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
Yana da mata biyu, ɗaya sunanta Hannatu, ɗayan kuwa ana kiranta Feninna. Ita Feninna tana da’ya’ya, amma Hannatu ba ta da’ya’ya.
3 This man went up out of his city from year to year to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of Hosts in Shiloh. The two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, priests to the LORD, were there.
Shekara-shekara wannan mutum yakan haura daga garinsa zuwa Shilo domin yin sujada da miƙa hadayu ga Ubangiji Maɗaukaki. A can kuwa’ya’yan Eli maza biyu, Hofni da Finehas su ne firistoci na Ubangiji.
4 When the day came that Elkanah sacrificed, he gave portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and her daughters;
Duk sa’ad da rana ta kewayo don Elkana yă miƙa hadaya, yakan ba da kashin nama ga matarsa Feninna da dukan’ya’yanta maza da mata.
5 but he gave a double portion to Hannah, for he loved Hannah, but the LORD had shut up her womb.
Amma Hannatu kuwa sai yă ba ta babban rabo gama yana ƙaunarta ko da yake Ubangiji ya kulle mahaifarta.
6 Her rival provoked her severely, to irritate her, because the LORD had shut up her womb.
Saboda Ubangiji ya kulle mahaifarta, sai kishiyarta ta dinga tsokanarta don tă ba ta haushi.
7 So year by year, when she went up to the LORD’s house, her rival provoked her. Therefore she wept, and didn’t eat.
Wannan ya ci gaba shekara da shekaru. Duk lokacin da Hannatu ta haura zuwa haikalin Ubangiji, sai kishiyarta tă tsokane ta har tă yi ta kuka tă kuma ƙi cin abinci.
8 Elkanah her husband said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep? Why don’t you eat? Why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”
Elkana mijinta kuwa yakan ce mata, “Hannatu don me kike kuka? Me ya sa ba za ki ci abinci ba? Don me kika karaya? Ashe, ban fi’ya’ya goma a gare ki ba?”
9 So Hannah rose up after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his seat by the doorpost of the LORD’s temple.
Wata rana sa’ad da suka gama ci da sha a Shilo, Hannatu ta miƙe tsaye. Eli firist kuwa yana zaune a kujera a bakin ƙofar haikalin Ubangiji.
10 She was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD, weeping bitterly.
A cikin baƙin ciki, Hannatu ta yi kuka mai zafi ta yi addu’a ga Ubangiji.
11 She vowed a vow, and said, “LORD of Hosts, if you will indeed look at the affliction of your servant and remember me, and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a boy, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come on his head.”
Ta yi ta cewa, “Ya Ubangiji Maɗaukaki. In har ka dubi baƙin cikin baiwarka, ka tuna da ni, ba ka kuma manta da baiwarka ba, amma ka ba ta ɗa, ni ma zan miƙa shi ga Ubangiji dukan rayuwarsa, aska kuwa ba za tă taɓa kansa ba.”
12 As she continued praying before the LORD, Eli saw her mouth.
Yayinda take addu’a ga Ubangiji, Eli ya lura da bakinta.
13 Now Hannah spoke in her heart. Only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk.
Hannatu tana addu’a a zuci, ba a jin muryarta, sai leɓunanta ne kawai suna motsi. Eli kuwa ya yi tsammani ta bugu ne.
14 Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Get rid of your wine!”
Sai ya ce mata, “Har yaushe za ki ci gaba da maye? Ki daina shan ruwan inabi.”
15 Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have not been drinking wine or strong drink, but I poured out my soul before the LORD.
Hannatu ta ce, “Ba haka ba ne, ranka yă daɗe, ni mace ce da take cikin matsala ƙwarai da gaske. Ban sha ruwan inabi ba, ko wani abu mai sa maye, ina dai faɗa wa Ubangiji abin da yake damuna ne.
16 Don’t consider your servant a wicked woman; for I have been speaking out of the abundance of my complaint and my provocation.”
Kada ka yi zato baiwarka’yar iska ce. Ina addu’a a nan saboda yawan azaba da baƙin cikin da nake ciki.”
17 Then Eli answered, “Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of him.”
Eli ya ce, “In haka ne, to, ki sauka lafiya, Allah na Isra’ila kuma yă ba ki abin da kika roƙa daga gare shi.”
18 She said, “Let your servant find favour in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate; and her facial expression wasn’t sad any more.
Ta ce, bari baiwarka tă sami tagomashi a idonka. Sai ta yi tafiyarta ta je ta ci wani abu, fuskarta kuwa ba tă ƙara kasance da baƙin ciki ba.
19 They rose up in the morning early and worshipped the LORD, then returned and came to their house to Ramah. Then Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
Kashegari da sassafe suka tashi suka yi sujada a gaban Ubangiji, sai suka koma garinsu a Rama. Elkana kuwa ya kwana da matarsa Hannatu, Ubangiji kuma ya tuna da ita.
20 When the time had come, Hannah conceived, and bore a son; and she named him Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked him of the LORD.”
Ana nan sai Hannatu ta yi ciki, ta kuma haifi ɗa. Ta ba shi suna Sama’ila; tana cewa, “Domin na roƙe shi daga wurin Ubangiji.”
21 The man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer to the LORD the yearly sacrifice and his vow.
Da shekara ta kewayo, sai Elkana da iyalinsa suka sāke tafi Shilo domin su yi hadaya ga Ubangiji, yă kuma cika alkawarin da ya yi.
22 But Hannah didn’t go up, for she said to her husband, “Not until the child is weaned; then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and stay there forever.”
Hannatu kuwa ba tă bi su ba. Ta gaya wa mijinta cewa, “Sai bayan na yaye yaron, zan kai shi in miƙa shi a gaban Ubangiji, yă kuma kasance a wurin koyaushe.”
23 Elkanah her husband said to her, “Do what seems good to you. Wait until you have weaned him; only may the LORD establish his word.” So the woman waited and nursed her son until she weaned him.
Elkana mijinta ya ce mata, “Ki yi abin da kika ga ya fi miki kyau. Ki jira har sai bayan kin yaye shi. Ubangiji dai ya cika maganarsa.” Saboda haka matar ta tsaya a gida, ta yi ta renon ɗanta har ta yaye shi.
24 When she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, and one efah of meal, and a container of wine, and brought him to the LORD’s house in Shiloh. The child was young.
Bayan ta yaye shi, sai ta ɗauki yaron tare da bijimi bana uku, da mudun gari, da salkan ruwan inabi, ta kawo su a gidan Ubangiji a Shilo.
25 They killed the bull, and brought the child to Eli.
Bayan an yanka bijimin, sai suka kawo yaron wurin Eli.
26 She said, “Oh, my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the LORD.
Sai ta ce masa, “Ranka yă daɗe, ba ka gane ni ba? Ai, ni ce matar da ta taɓa tsayawa a gabanka, tana addu’a ga Ubangiji.
27 I prayed for this child, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.
Wannan yaron ne na roƙa daga wurin Ubangiji, ya kuwa ba ni abin da na roƙa daga gare shi.
28 Therefore I have also given him to the LORD. As long as he lives he is given to the LORD.” He worshipped the LORD there.
Saboda haka, na ba da shi ga Ubangiji muddin ransa, zai zama na Ubangiji.” A can kuwa ya yi wa Ubangiji sujada.
