Revelation 21
1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.
Anis ergasii samii haaraa fi lafa haaraa nan arge; samiin duraatii fi lafti duraa sun badaniiruutii; galaannis siʼachi hin jiraatu.
2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
Anis magaalaa qulqullittiin Yerusaalem haaraan akkuma misirroo dhirsa isheetiif miidhagfamteetti qophooftee samii keessaa Waaqa biraa utuu gad buutuu nan arge.
3 I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
Sagalee guddaa teessoo keessaa akkana jedhu tokkos nan dhagaʼe; “Kunoo, iddoon Waaqni jiraatu namoota gidduu dha; innis isaan wajjin jiraata. Isaan saba isaa ni taʼu; Waaqni mataan isaas isaan wajjin ni jiraata; Waaqa isaaniis ni taʼa.
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
Inni imimmaan hunda ija isaanii irraa ni haqa. Siʼachi duuti yookaan gaddi yookaan booʼichi yookaan dhiphinni hin jiraatu; sirni moofaan sun darbeeraatii.”
5 He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”
Inni teessoo sana irra taaʼes, “Kunoo, ani waan hundumaa nan haaromsa!” jedhe; innis, “Dubbiin kun waan amanamaa fi dhugaa taʼeef, kana barreessi” naan jedhe.
6 He said to me, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.
Innis akkana naan jedhe: “Raawwatameera. Alfaa fi Omeegaan, Jalqabaa fi Dhumni anuma. Ani nama dheeboteef burqaa bishaan jireenyaa irraa tola nan kenna.
7 He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.
Inni moʼu waan kana hunda ni dhaala; ani Waaqa isaa nan taʼaaf; innis ilma koo ni taʼa.
8 But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
Garuu qoodni sodaattotaa, kan warra amantii hin qabnee, kan xuraaʼotaa, kan warra nama ajjeesanii, kan halaleewwanii, kan warra falfala hojjetanii, kan warra waaqota tolfamoo waaqeffataniitii fi kan sobduuwwan hundaa haroo ibiddaatii fi dinyii bobaʼuu keessa taʼa; kunis duʼa lammaffaa ti.” (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls which were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
Ergamoota torban warra waciitii torban dhaʼicha dhumaa torbaniin guutaman qaban keessaas inni tokko dhufee, “Kottu, misirrittii niitii Hoolichaa sitti nan argisiisaatii” naan jedhe.
10 He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
Innis Hafuuraan na fuudhee tulluu guddaa fi dheeraa tokkotti na geesse; utuu Yerusaalem Magaalaa Qulqullittiin samii keessaa Waaqa biraa gad buutuu natti argisiise.
11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Isheenis ulfina Waaqaatiin ni ibsiti turte; cululuqni ishees akkuma cululuqa dhagaa gatii guddaa, akka dhagaa yaasphiidii qulqulluu akka bilillee ture.
12 having a great and high wall with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.
Magaalattiinis dallaa guddaa fi ol dheeraa karra kudha lama qabu qabdi turte. Karrawwan sana irras ergamoota kudha lamatu dhaabatee ture; karra kudha lamaan sana irrattis maqaan gosoota Israaʼel kudha lamaanii barreeffamee ture.
13 On the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.
Karaa baʼa biiftuutiin karra sadii, karaa kaabaatiin karra sadii, karaa kibbaatiin karra sadii, karaa lixa biiftuutiinis karra sadiitu ture.
14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
Dallaan magaalattiis hundee kudha lama qaba ture; hundeewwan sana irrattis maqaan ergamoota Hoolichaa kudha lamaanii barreeffamee ture.
15 He who spoke with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, its gates, and its walls.
Ergamaan natti dubbate sunis magaalattii, karrawwan isheetii fi dallaawwan ishee safaruudhaaf ulee safartuu kan warqee qaba ture.
16 The city is square. Its length is as great as its width. He measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand twelve stadia. Its length, width, and height are equal.
Magaalaan sunis golee afur qabdi turte; dheerinni isheetii fi garaan ishee wal qixxee ture. Ergamaan sunis ulee isaatiin magaalattii safare; balʼinni ishees gara kiiloo meetira 2,200 taʼe; dheerinni ishee, garaan isheetii fi ol dheerinni ishees wal qixxee ture.
17 Its wall is one hundred forty-four cubits, by the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
Dallaa magaalattiis ni safare; innis akka safara namaa kan ergamichi ittiin safaraa ture sanaatti dhundhuma 144 taʼe.
18 The construction of its wall was jasper. The city was pure gold, like pure glass.
Dallaan sun dhagaa yaasphiidiitiin ijaarame; magaalaan sun immoo warqee qulqulluu akka bilillee qulqulluu taʼeen ijaaramte.
19 The foundations of the city’s wall were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire; the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
Hundeewwan dallaa magaalaa sanaas dhagaa gatii guddaa gosa hundumaatiin miidhagfaman. Hundeen jalqabaa yaasphiidiin, lammaffaan sanpeeriin, sadaffaan keelqedooniin, afuraffaan immoo maragdiin miidhagfame;
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
Inni shanaffaan sardooniksiin, jaʼaffaan sardiyooniin, torbaffaan kiristolobeen, saddeettaffaan biiraleen, saglaffaan wuraawureen, kurnaffaan kirisphiraasisiin, kudha tokkoffaan yaakintiin, kudha lammaffaan immoo ametiisxinosiin miidhagfame.
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls. Each one of the gates was made of one pearl. The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
Karrawwan kudha lamaan lula kudha lama turan; tokkoon tokkoon karra sanaas lula tokko irraa hojjetame. Daandiin magaalaa sanaas warqee qulqulluu akkuma bilillee keessaan waa argamuu ti.
22 I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
Waaqni Gooftaan Waan Hunda Dandaʼuu fi Hoolichi mana qulqullummaa ishee waan taʼaniif ani magaalattii keessatti mana qulqullummaa tokko illee hin argine.
23 The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it and its lamp is the Lamb.
Aduun yookaan jiʼi magaalattiif ibsuun hin barbaachisu; ulfinni Waaqaa ifa kennaafiitii; Hoolichis ibsaa ishee ti.
24 The nations will walk in its light. The kings of the earth bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
Saboonni ifa isheetiin deddeebiʼu; mootonni lafaas ulfina isaanii gara isheetti fidu.
25 Its gates will in no way be shut by day (for there will be no night there),
Sababii halkan achi hin jirreef karrawwan magaalattii gonkumaa guyyaa tokko iyyuu hin cufaman.
26 and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it so that they may enter.
Ulfinaa fi kabaja sabootaa gara ishee ni fidu.
27 There will in no way enter into it anything profane, or one who causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Warra maqaan isaanii kitaaba jireenyaa kan Hoolichaa keessatti galmeeffame malee wanni xuraaʼaan tokko iyyuu yookaan namni waan jibbisiisaa hojjetu yookaan namni nama sobu kam iyyuu magaalaa sana hin seenu.
