< Psalms 82 >

1 A Psalm by Asaph. God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.
Zabbuli ya Asafu. Katonda akubiriza olukiiko lwe olukulu olw’omu ggulu, ng’alamula bakatonda.
2 “How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” (Selah)
Mulituusa ddi okusala emisango n’obukuusa, nga musalira abanafu?
3 “Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
Abanafu n’abatalina bakitaabwe mubalamulenga mu bwenkanya; abaavu n’abanyigirizibwa mubayambenga mu bwenkanya.
4 Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”
Mulwanirire abatalina maanyi n’abali mu kwetaaga, mubawonye; mubanunule nga mubaggya mu mikono gy’ababi.
5 They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
Tebalina kye bamanyi, era tebategeera. Batambulira mu kizikiza; emisingi gy’ensi gyonna ginyeenyezebwa.
6 I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High.
Njogedde nti, Muli bakatonda, era mwenna muli baana b’oyo Ali Waggulu Ennyo.
7 Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”
“Naye mugenda kufa ng’abantu obuntu; muliggwaawo ng’abafuzi abalala bonna bwe baggwaawo.”
8 Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.
Ogolokoke, Ayi Katonda, olamule ensi; kubanga amawanga gonna gago.
