< Psalms 6 >
1 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David. Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
Eri Omukulu wa Bayimbi. Eyimbibwa n’ebivuga eby’enkoba. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Ayi Mukama, tonnenya ng’ojjudde obusungu; so tombonereza mu kiruyi kyo.
2 Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
Onsaasire, Ayi Mukama, kubanga ndi munafu. Omponye, Ayi Mukama, kubanga amagumba gange gali mu bulumi.
3 My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh—how long?
Emmeeme yange ejjudde ennaku. Olirindirira kutuusa ddi olyoke onnyambe?
4 Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, and save me for your loving kindness’ sake.
Onkyukire, Ayi Mukama, olokole omwoyo gwange; omponye okufa olw’okwagala kwo okungi.
5 For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol )
Kubanga tewali ayinza kukujjukira ng’amaze okufa. Ani alikutendereza ng’asinziira emagombe? (Sheol )
6 I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears.
Mpweddemu amaanyi olw’okusinda. Buli kiro obuliri bwange bujjula amaziga gange n’omutto ne gutoba.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
Amaaso gange ganafuye olw’okunyolwa, tegakyalaba bulungi olw’abalabe bange.
8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.
Muve we ndi mmwe mwenna abakola ebibi; kubanga Mukama awulidde okukaaba kwange.
9 Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh accepts my prayer.
Mukama awulidde okwegayirira kwange, n’okusaba kwange akukkirizza.
10 May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly.
Abalabe bange bonna baliswazibwa era balitya nnyo; bazzibwe emabega nga bajjudde obuswavu mangu ago.
