Psalms 29

1 A Psalm by David. Ascribe to Yahweh, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

੧ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ, ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੰਨੋ।

2 Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Worship Yahweh in holy array.

੨ਮਹਿਮਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮੰਨੋ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕੋ।

3 Yahweh’s voice is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even Yahweh on many waters.

੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ, ਜਲਾਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਗਰਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਰਜਦਾ ਹੈ।

4 Yahweh’s voice is powerful. Yahweh’s voice is full of majesty.

੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

5 Yahweh’s voice breaks the cedars. Yes, Yahweh breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

੫ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿਆਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ!

6 He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox.

੬ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਛੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਯੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵੱਛੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਕੁਦਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

7 Yahweh’s voice strikes with flashes of lightning.

੭ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਅੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਦੀ ਹੈ,

8 Yahweh’s voice shakes the wilderness. Yahweh shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਉਜਾੜ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ!

9 Yahweh’s voice makes the deer calve, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, “Glory!”

੯ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ “ਮਹਿਮਾ!”

10 Yahweh sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, Yahweh sits as King forever.

੧੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਜਲ ਪਰਲੋ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੈ।

11 Yahweh will give strength to his people. Yahweh will bless his people with peace.

੧੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇਗਾ।
