< Psalms 131 >
1 A Song of Ascents. By David. Yahweh, my heart isn’t arrogant, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.
Ko e Hiva ʻa Tevita maʻae ʻalu hake. ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ʻikai fielahi hoku loto, pe fieʻeiki hoku mata: pea ʻoku ʻikai te u kau ʻi he ngaahi meʻa lalahi, pe ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku māʻolunga hake ʻiate au.
2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
Ko e moʻoni kuo u fakafiemālieʻi mo fakanaʻanaʻaʻi au, ʻo hangē ko e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae mei heʻene faʻē: ʻoku tatau hoku laumālie mo e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae.
3 Israel, hope in Yahweh, from this time forward and forever more.
Tuku ke ʻamanaki lelei ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova, mei he ʻaho ni pea taʻengata.
