Psalms 115
1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake.
No a nosotros, Yahvé, no a nosotros, pero a tu nombre dale gloria, por tu amorosa bondad, y por tu verdad.
2 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God, now?”
¿Por qué han de decir las naciones, “¿Dónde está su Dios, ahora?”
3 But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
Pero nuestro Dios está en los cielos. Hace lo que le da la gana.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Sus ídolos son de plata y oro, el trabajo de las manos de los hombres.
5 They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see.
Tienen boca, pero no hablan. Tienen ojos, pero no ven.
6 They have ears, but they don’t hear. They have noses, but they don’t smell.
Tienen oídos, pero no oyen. Tienen nariz, pero no huelen.
7 They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
Tienen manos, pero no sienten. Tienen pies, pero no caminan, tampoco hablan por la garganta.
8 Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
Los que los hagan serán como ellos; sí, todos los que confían en ellos.
9 Israel, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.
¡Israel, confía en Yahvé! Él es su ayuda y su escudo.
10 House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.
¡Casa de Aarón, confía en Yahvé! Él es su ayuda y su escudo.
11 You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.
¡Tú que temes a Yahvé, confía en Yahvé! Él es su ayuda y su escudo.
12 Yahweh remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
Yahvé se acuerda de nosotros. Nos bendecirá. Él bendecirá a la casa de Israel. Él bendecirá la casa de Aarón.
13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh, both small and great.
Él bendecirá a los que temen a Yahvé, tanto pequeñas como grandes.
14 May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.
Que Yahvé te aumente más y más, usted y sus hijos.
15 Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
Bendito seas por Yahvé, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
16 The heavens are Yahweh’s heavens, but he has given the earth to the children of men.
Los cielos son los cielos de Yahvé, pero ha dado la tierra a los hijos de los hombres.
17 The dead don’t praise Yah, nor any who go down into silence,
Los muertos no alaban a Yah, ni a los que se hunden en el silencio,
18 but we will bless Yah, from this time forward and forever more. Praise Yah!
