< Psalms 106 >
1 Praise Yahweh! Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
Mumutendereze Mukama! Mwebaze Mukama kubanga mulungi, kubanga okwagala kwe tekuggwaawo emirembe gyonna.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of Yahweh, or fully declare all his praise?
Ani ayinza okwogera ku bikulu Mukama by’akola n’abimalayo, oba okumutendereza obulungi nga bw’asaanira?
3 Blessed are those who keep justice. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.
Balina omukisa abalina obwenkanya, era abakola ebituufu bulijjo.
4 Remember me, Yahweh, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,
Onzijukiranga, Ayi Mukama, bw’obanga okolera abantu bo ebirungi; nange onnyambe bw’olibalokola,
5 that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.
ndyoke neeyagalire wamu n’abalonde bo nga bafunye ebirungi, nsanyukire wamu n’eggwanga lyo, era ntendererezenga mu bantu bo.
6 We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.
Twonoonye, nga bajjajjaffe bwe baakola; tukoze ebibi ne tusobya nnyo.
7 Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
Bakadde baffe tebaafaayo kujjukira ebyamagero bye wakola nga bali mu Misiri; n’ebyekisa ebingi bye wabakolera tebaabijjukira, bwe baatuuka ku Nnyanja Emyufu ne bakujeemera.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.
Naye Mukama n’abalokola, olw’erinnya lye, alyoke amanyise amaanyi g’obuyinza bwe obungi.
9 He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.
Yaboggolera Ennyanja Emyufu, n’ekalira; n’abakulembera okubayisa mu buziba ng’abayita ku lukalu mu ddungu.
10 He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
Yabawonya abalabe baabwe; n’abanunula mu mikono gy’abo ababakyawa.
11 The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.
Amazzi ne gabuutikira abalabe baabwe; ne wataba n’omu awona.
12 Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
Olwo ne bakkiriza ebigambo bye, bye yabasuubiza; ne bayimba nga bamutendereza.
13 They soon forgot his works. They didn’t wait for his counsel,
Waayita akabanga katono ne beerabira ebyo byonna bye yakola; ne batawulirizanga kubuulirira kwe.
14 but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.
Bwe baatuuka mu ddungu, okwegomba ne kubasukkirira; ne bagezesa Katonda nga bali mu lukoola olwo.
15 He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
Bw’atyo n’abawa kye baasaba, kyokka n’abaleetera n’olumbe olw’amaanyi.
16 They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, Yahweh’s saint.
Nga bali mu lusiisira baakwatirwa obuggya eri Musa ne Alooni abalonde ba Mukama.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
Ettaka ne lyasama ne limira Dasani; Abiraamu ne banne ne libasaanyaawo.
18 A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.
Omuliro ne gukoleera ne gukwata abagoberezi baabwe; ennimi z’omuliro ne zookya aboonoonyi.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.
Bwe baali e Kolebu ne beekolera ennyana; ne basinza ekifaananyi ekyo kye baakola mu byuma bye baasaanuusa.
20 Thus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass.
Ekitiibwa kya Katonda ne bakiwaanyisaamu ekibumbe ekifaanana ente erya omuddo.
21 They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,
Ne beerabira Katonda eyabanunula, eyabakolera ebintu ebikulu bwe bityo mu Misiri,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things by the Red Sea.
ebyamagero bye yabakolera mu nsi ya Kaamu, n’ebikolwa eby’entiisa ku Nnyanja Emyufu.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn’t destroy them.
N’agamba nti, Ajja kubazikiriza. Naye Musa, omulonde we, n’ayimirira mu maaso ge n’amwegayirira, obusungu bwe ne bumuggwaako n’atabazikiriza.
24 Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They didn’t believe his word,
Baanyooma eby’ensi ennungi, kubanga ekisuubizo kye tebaakirinaamu bwesige.
25 but murmured in their tents, and didn’t listen to Yahweh’s voice.
Beemulugunyiriza mu weema zaabwe, ne batagondera ddoboozi lya Mukama.
26 Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
Kyeyava yeerayirira nti alibazikiririza mu ddungu,
27 that he would overthrow their offspring among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
era nga n’abaana baabwe balisaasaanira mu mawanga ne bafiira eyo.
28 They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
Baatandika okusinza Baali e Peoli; ne balya ebyaweebwangayo eri bakatonda abataliimu bulamu.
29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.
Ne banyiiza Katonda olw’ebikolwa byabwe ebibi; kawumpuli kyeyava abagwamu.
30 Then Phinehas stood up and executed judgment, so the plague was stopped.
Naye Finekaasi n’ayimirira wakati waabwe ne Katonda, kawumpuli n’agenda.
31 That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.
Ekyo ne kimubalirwa nga kya butuukirivu emirembe gyonna.
32 They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was troubled for their sakes;
Bwe baatuuka okumpi n’amazzi ag’e Meriba ne banyiiza Mukama, ne baleetera Musa emitawaana;
33 because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.
kubanga baajeemera ebiragiro bye, ne kimwogeza n’ebigambo ebitaali bya magezi.
34 They didn’t destroy the peoples, as Yahweh commanded them,
Abantu be baalwanyisa tebaabazikiriza nga Mukama bwe yali abalagidde,
35 but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.
naye beetabika n’abannaggwanga ago ne bayiga empisa zaabwe.
36 They served their idols, which became a snare to them.
Baasinza ebifaananyi ebikole n’emikono eby’amawanga ago ne bibafuukira omutego.
37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
Baawaayo batabani baabwe ne bawala baabwe eri bakatonda abo.
38 They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.
Ne bayiwa omusaayi gwa batabani baabwe ne bawala baabwe abataliiko musango, be baawangayo eri ebifaananyi ebikole n’emikono Abakanani bye baakola, ensi n’eyonoonebwa n’omusaayi gwabwe.
39 Thus they were defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.
Beeyonoona olw’ebyo bye baakola, ebikolwa byabwe ne bibafuula abataliimu nsa nga bavudde ku Katonda waabwe.
40 Therefore Yahweh burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.
Mukama kyeyava asunguwalira abantu be, n’akyawa ezzadde lye.
41 He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.
N’abawaayo eri amawanga amalala, abalabe ne babafuga.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.
Abalabe baabwe ne babanyigiriza, ne babatuntuza nnyo ddala.
43 He rescued them many times, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
Yabawonyanga abalabe baabwe emirundi mingi, naye obujeemu ne bubalemeramu, ebibi byabwe ne bigenda nga bibasaanyaawo.
44 Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.
Naye bwe yawulira okukaaba kwabwe, n’abakwatirwa ekisa;
45 He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
ku lwabwe, n’ajjukira endagaano ye; okwagala kwe okungi ne kumuleetera okukyusa ekirowoozo kye.
46 He made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.
N’abaleetera okusaasirwa abo abaabawambanga.
47 Save us, Yahweh, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise!
Ayi Mukama Katonda, otulokole, otukuŋŋaanye, otuggye mu mawanga, tulyoke twebazenga erinnya lyo ettukuvu, era tusanyukenga nga tukutendereza.
48 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise Yah!
Mukama atenderezebwenga, Katonda wa Isirayiri, emirembe n’emirembe. Abantu bonna ka boogere nti, “Amiina!” Mumutendereze Mukama.
