Matthew 7
1 “Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.
No juzguéis; porque también no seáis juzgados.
2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
Porque con el juicio con que juzgáis, seréis juzgados; y con la medida que medís, con ella os volverán a medir.
3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
Y ¿por qué miras la arista que está en el ojo de tu hermano; y no echas de ver la viga que está en tu ojo?
4 Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
O ¿cómo dirás a tu hermano: Deja, echaré de tu ojo la arista; y, he aquí, una viga en tu ojo?
5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.
¡Hipócrita! echa primero la viga de tu ojo; y entonces verás claramente para echar la arista del ojo de tu hermano.
6 “Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
No deis lo santo a los perros; ni echéis vuestras perlas delante de los puercos; porque no las rehuellen con sus pies, y vuelvan, y os despedacen.
7 “Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
Pedíd, y se os dará: buscád, y hallaréis; llamád, y se os abrirá.
8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
Porque cualquiera que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se le abrirá.
9 Or who is there among you who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
¿Qué hombre hay de vosotros, a quien si su hijo pidiere pan, le dará una piedra?
10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
¿O si le pidiere un pez, le dará una serpiente?
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Pues, si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas a vuestros hijos, vuestro Padre que está en los cielos, ¿cuánto más dará buenas cosas a los que le piden?
12 Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
Así que, todas las cosas que querríais que los hombres hiciesen con vosotros, así también hacéd vosotros con ellos; porque esta es la ley, y los profetas.
13 “Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it.
Entrád por la puerta estrecha; porque ancha es la puerta, y espacioso el camino que lleva a perdición; y los que van por él, son muchos.
14 How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it.
Porque la puerta es estrecha, y angosto el camino que lleva a la vida; y pocos son los que lo hallan.
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
Guardáos de los falsos profetas, que vienen a vosotros con vestidos de ovejas; mas interiormente son lobos robadores.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?
Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Cógense uvas de los espinos, o higos de las cambroneras?
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
De esta manera, todo buen árbol lleva buenos frutos; mas el árbol carcomido lleva malos frutos.
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
No puede el buen árbol llevar malos frutos; ni el árbol carcomido llevar buenos frutos.
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Todo árbol que no lleva buen fruto, córtase, y échase en el fuego.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Así que por sus frutos los conoceréis.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
No cualquiera que me dice: Señor, Señor, entrará en el reino de los cielos; mas el que hiciere la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
22 Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’
Muchos me dirán en aquel día: Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en tu nombre, y en tu nombre echamos demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchas grandezas?
23 Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’
Y entonces les confesaré: Nunca os conocí: apartáos de mí, obradores de maldad.
24 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Pues, cualquiera que me oye estas palabras, y las hace, compararle he al varón prudente que edificó su casa sobre roca:
25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Y descendió lluvia, y vinieron ríos, y soplaron vientos, y combatieron aquella casa, y no cayó; porque estaba fundada sobre roca.
26 Everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
Y cualquiera que me oye estas palabras, y no las hace, compararle he al varón insensato, que edificó su casa sobre arena:
27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell—and its fall was great.”
Y descendió lluvia, y vinieron ríos, y soplaron vientos, e hicieron ímpetu en aquella casa, y cayó; y fue su ruina grande.
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
Y fue que como Jesús acabó estas palabras, las gentes se espantaban de su doctrina:
29 for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.
Porque los enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad, y no como los escribas.
