Judges 1
1 After the death of Joshua, the children of Israel asked of Yahweh, saying, “Who should go up for us first against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”
၁ယောရှု အနိစ္စ ရောက်သောနောက် ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့က၊ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့တွင် အဘယ်သူ သည် ခါနနိ လူတို့ရှိရာသို့ ရှေ့ဦးစွာ ချီ သွားရပါမည်နည်းဟု ထာဝရဘုရား အား မေး လျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊
2 Yahweh said, “Judah shall go up. Behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.”
၂ထာဝရဘုရား က၊ ယုဒ သည် ချီ သွားရမည်။ ထိုပြည် ကို သူ ၏လက် ၌ ငါအပ် မည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
3 Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with you into your lot.” So Simeon went with him.
၃ယုဒ သည် မိမိ အစ်ကို ရှိမောင် အား ၊ ခါနနိ လူတို့ကို တိုက် ခြင်းငှါ ငါ့ အမွေမြေ သို့ ငါ နှင့်အတူ လိုက် ပါ။ သင့် အမွေမြေ သို့ လည်း သင် နှင့်အတူ ငါ လိုက် သွားမည်ဟုဆို သည်အတိုင်း ရှိမောင် သည် လိုက် သွားလေ၏။
4 Judah went up, and Yahweh delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand. They struck ten thousand men in Bezek.
၄ယုဒ ချီ သွား၍ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ခါနနိ လူ၊ ဖေရဇိ လူတို့ကို အပ် တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ ဗေဇက် မြို့၌ လူ တထောင် ကိုသတ် လေ၏။
5 They found Adoni-Bezek in Bezek, and they fought against him. They struck the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
၅အဒေါနိဗေဇက် မင်းကို ဗေဇက် မြို့၌ တွေ့ ၍ ၊ ခါနနိ လူ၊ ဖေရဇိ လူတို့ကိုသတ် သောအခါ၊
6 But Adoni-Bezek fled. They pursued him, caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his big toes.
၆အဒေါနိဗေဇက် သည် ပြေး လေ၏။ ယုဒလူတို့သည် လိုက် ၍ ဘမ်း မိပြီးလျှင် လက်မ ၊ ခြေမတို့ကို ဖြတ် ကြ၏။
7 Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their big toes cut off, scavenged under my table. As I have done, so God has done to me.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
၇အဒေါနိဗေဇက် ကလည်း ၊ လက်မ နှင့် ခြေမဖြတ် သော မင်းကြီး ခုနစ်ဆယ် တို့သည်၊ အထက်က ငါ့ စားပွဲ အောက် ၌ စားနုပ်စားပေါက်ကို ကောက် ၍ စားရကြ၏။ ငါပြု ဘူးသည်အတိုင်း ၊ ဘုရား သခင်သည် ငါ ၌ အပြစ် ပေးတော်မူပြီဟု ဆို ၏။ ထိုမင်း ကို ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သို့ ပို့ ၍ သူသည် ထို မြို့မှာ သေ လေ၏။
8 The children of Judah fought against Jerusalem, took it, struck it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.
၈ယုဒ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ကို တိုက် ယူ ၍ ထား နှင့် လုပ်ကြံ ပြီးမှ မီး ရှို့ ကြ၏။
9 After that, the children of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites who lived in the hill country, and in the South, and in the lowland.
၉ထိုနောက် တောင် ပေါ်၌၎င်း ၊ တောင် မျက်နှာ၌၎င်း ၊ ချိုင့် ထဲ၌၎င်း နေ သောခါနနိ လူတို့ကို အတိုက် သွား ကြ၏။
10 Judah went against the Canaanites who lived in Hebron. (The name of Hebron before that was Kiriath Arba.) They struck Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai.
၁၀တဖန် ယုဒ အမျိုးသည်၊ ကိရယသာဘ အမည် ဟောင်း ရှိသောဟေဗြုန် မြို့၌ နေ သောခါနနိ လူတို့ ရှိရာသို့ ချီ သွား၍၊ ရှေရှဲ ၊ အဟိမန် ၊ တာလမဲ တို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ ကြ၏။
11 From there he went against the inhabitants of Debir. (The name of Debir before that was Kiriath Sepher.)
၁၁တဖန် ကိရယဿေဖာ အမည်ဟောင်း ရှိ သောဒေဗိရ မြို့သားတို့ရှိရာသို့ ချီ ပြန်၍၊
12 Caleb said, “I will give Achsah my daughter as wife to the man who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it.”
၁၂ကာလက် က၊ ကိရယဿောဖာ မြို့ကို တိုက်ယူ လုပ်ကြံ သောသူ အား ၊ ငါ သည် သမီး အာခသ ကို ပေးစား မည်ဟု ဆို လျှင်၊
13 Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, took it, so he gave him Achsah his daughter as his wife.
၁၃ကာလက် ညီ ကေနတ် ၏ သား ဩသံယေလ သည် ထိုမြို့ ကို တိုက် ယူ၍၊ ကာလက်သည် သမီး အာခသ ကို သူ့ အား ပေးစား လေ၏။
14 When she came, she got him to ask her father for a field. She got off her donkey; and Caleb said to her, “What would you like?”
၁၄ထိုမိန်းမ သည် ခရီးသွား စဉ် အခါ၊ လယ် တကွက်ကို အဘ ၌ တောင်း ခြင်းငှါ လင် နှင့် တိုင်ပင် ပြီးမှ မြည်း ပေါ် က ဆင်း လေ၏။ အဘကာလက် က၊ အဘယ် အလိုရှိသနည်းဟုမေး လျှင်၊
15 She said to him, “Give me a blessing; because you have set me in the land of the South, give me also springs of water.” Then Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
၁၅သမီးက၊ ကောင်းကြီး ပေး စေချင်ပါ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် တောင် မျက်နှာအရပ် ကိုပေး ပါပြီ။ စမ်း ရေတွင်း တို့ကိုလည်း ပေး တော်မူပါဦးဟု တောင်း သည်အတိုင်း အဘသည် အထက် စမ်း ရေတွင်း၊ အောက် စမ်း ရေတွင်းတို့ကိုပေး လေ၏။
16 The children of the Kenite, Moses’ brother-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which is in the south of Arad; and they went and lived with the people.
၁၆မောရှေ ယောက္ခမ ၏သား မြေးဖြစ်သော ကေနိ အမျိုးသားတို့သည်၊ ယုဒ အမျိုးသားတို့နှင့်အတူ စွန်ပလွံ မြို့မှ အာရဒ် မြို့ တောင် ဘက်၊ ယုဒ တော သို့ လိုက် သွား၍ နေရာကျ ကြ၏။
17 Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they struck the Canaanites who inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. The name of the city was called Hormah.
၁၇တဖန် ယုဒ သည် အစ်ကို ရှိမောင် နှင့်အတူ သွား ၍ ဇေဖတ် မြို့၌နေ သောခါနနိ လူတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ ၍ မြို့ ကို ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး ပြီးလျှင် ၊ ထိုမြို့ ကို ဟော်မာ အမည် ဖြင့် သမုတ် ကြ၏။
18 Also Judah took Gaza with its border, and Ashkelon with its border, and Ekron with its border.
၁၈ယုဒ သည် ဂါဇ မြို့နှင့် မြို့နယ် ၊ အာရှကေလုန် မြို့နှင့် မြို့နယ် ၊ ဧကြုန် မြို့နှင့် မြို့နယ် တို့ကိုလည်း တိုက် ယူလေ၏။
19 Yahweh was with Judah, and drove out the inhabitants of the hill country; for he could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
၁၉ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ယုဒ နှင့်အတူ ရှိ တော်မူ၍ ၊ သူသည် တောင် ပေါ်မှာ နေသောသူတို့ ကို နှင်ထုတ် လေ၏။ ချိုင့် သားတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် နိုင်။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ သူ တို့သည် သံ ရထား ရှိကြ၏။
20 They gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had said, and he drove the three sons of Anak out of there.
၂၀မောရှေ မှာ ထားသည်အတိုင်း ဟေဗြုန် မြို့ကို ကာလက် အား ပေး ကြ၍ ၊ သူသည် အာနက သား သုံး ယောက်တို့ကို ထို မြို့မှ နှင်ထုတ် လေ၏။
21 The children of Benjamin didn’t drive out the Jebusites who inhabited Jerusalem, but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this day.
၂၁ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသားတို့သည်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌နေ သောယေဗုသိ လူတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် ဘဲ၊ သူ တို့သည် ယနေ့ တိုင်အောင် ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသားတို့နှင့်အတူ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ နေ ကြသတည်း။
22 The house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, and Yahweh was with them.
၂၂ယောသပ် အမျိုးသားတို့သည်လည်း ၊ ဗေသလ မြို့သို့ ချီ သွား၍ ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သူ တို့နှင့်အတူ ရှိတော်မူ၏။
23 The house of Joseph sent to spy out Bethel. (The name of the city before that was Luz.)
၂၃လုဇ အမည် ဟောင်း ရှိသောထိုမြို့ ကို စူးစမ်းစေခြင်းငှါ စေလွှတ် သော သူလျှိုတို့သည်၊
24 The watchers saw a man come out of the city, and they said to him, “Please show us the entrance into the city, and we will deal kindly with you.”
၂၄မြို့ ထဲက ထွက် လာသောလူ တယောက်ကို တွေ့မြင် ၍၊ မြို့ ထဲသို့ ဝင် သောလမ်းကို ပြ ပါတော့။ သို့ပြလျှင် သင့် ကို ချမ်းသာ ပေးမည်ဟု ဆို သော်၊
25 He showed them the entrance into the city, and they struck the city with the edge of the sword; but they let the man and all his family go.
၂၅ထိုသူသည် မြို့ ထဲသို့ ဝင် သောလမ်းကို ပြ သဖြင့် ၊ သူတို့သည် မြို့ သားတို့ကို ထား နှင့် လုပ်ကြံ ၍ ၊ ထိုလူ နှင့် သူ ၏အိမ်သား အပေါင်း တို့ကို လွှတ် ကြ၏။
26 The man went into the land of the Hittites, built a city, and called its name Luz, which is its name to this day.
၂၆ထိုသူ သည် ဟိတ္တိ ပြည် သို့ သွား ပြီးလျှင် ၊ မြို့ ကို တည်ထောင် ၍ လုဇ အမည် ဖြင့် သမုတ် လေ၏။ ယနေ့ တိုင်အောင် ထိုသို့ ခေါ်ဝေါ်ကြသတည်း။
27 Manasseh didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its towns, nor Taanach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
၂၇မနာရှေအမျိုးသည်၊ ဗက်ရှန် မြို့ ရွာများ၊ တာနက် မြို့ ရွာများ၊ ဒေါရ မြို့ ရွာများ၊ ဣဗလံ မြို့ ရွာများ၊ မေဂိဒ္ဒေါ မြို့ ရွာများ၌ နေ သောသူတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် ဘဲ၊ ခါနနိ လူတို့သည် အနိုင်နေ ကြ၏။
28 When Israel had grown strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, and didn’t utterly drive them out.
၂၈တဖန် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် အား ကြီးသောအခါ ၊ ခါနနိ လူတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် သော်လည်း အခွန် ကို ဆက်သွင်းစေကြ၏။
29 Ephraim didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer, but the Canaanites lived in Gezer among them.
၂၉ထိုအတူ ဧဖရိမ် အမျိုးသည် ဂေဇာ မြို့၌ နေ သောခါနနိ လူတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် ဘဲ သူတို့သည် ဂေဇာ မြို့၌ ရောနှောလျက် နေ ကြ၏။
30 Zebulun didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites lived among them, and became subject to forced labor.
၃၀ထိုအတူ ဇာဗုလုန် အမျိုးသည် ကိတရုန် မြို့ သား၊ နဟာလောလ မြို့ သားတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် ဘဲ၊ ခါနနိ လူတို့ သည် ရောနှော လျက်နေ ၍ ၊ အခွန် ပေးကြ၏။
31 Asher didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Acco, nor the inhabitants of Sidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob;
၃၁ထိုအတူ အာရှာ အမျိုးသည် အက္ခော မြို့ သား၊ ဇိဒုန် မြို့ သား၊ အာလပ် မြို့သား၊ အာခဇိပ် မြို့သား၊ ဟေလဗ မြို့သား၊ အာဖိတ် မြို့သား၊ ရဟောဘ မြို့သားတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် ဘဲ၊
32 but the Asherites lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land, for they didn’t drive them out.
၃၂အာရှာ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ပြည် သားခါနနိ လူတို့နှင့် ရောနှော ၍ နေ ကြ၏။
33 Naphtali didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth Anath; but he lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land. Nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and of Beth Anath became subject to forced labor.
၃၃ထိုအတူ နဿလိ အမျိုးသည် ဗက်ရှေမက် မြို့ သား၊ ဗေသနတ် မြို့ သားတို့ကို မ နှင်ထုတ် ဘဲ၊ ပြည် သားခါနနိ လူတို့နှင့် ရောနှော ၍ နေ ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ဗက်ရှေမက် မြို့ သား၊ ဗေသနတ် မြို့သားတို့ သည် အခွန် ပေးလျက် နေကြ၏။
34 The Amorites forced the children of Dan into the hill country, for they would not allow them to come down to the valley;
၃၄အာမောရိ လူတို့သည်လည်း ဒန် အမျိုးသားတို့ကို တောင် ပေါ်သို့ နှင် သဖြင့်၊ ချိုင့် ထဲမှာ နေ ရသောအခွင့် ကို မ ပေးကြ။
35 but the Amorites would dwell in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim. Yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became subject to forced labor.
၃၅အာမောရိ လူတို့သည် ဟေရက် တောင် ပေါ်မြို့၊ အာဇလုန် မြို့၊ ရှာလဗိမ် မြို့၌ အနိုင်နေ ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ယောသပ် အမျိုးသားတို့သည် အား ကြီး သဖြင့် အာမောရိလူတို့သည် အခွန် ပေးရကြ၏။
36 The border of the Amorites was from the ascent of Akrabbim, from the rock, and upward.
၃၆အာမောရိ လူနေရသောအရပ် သည် အကရဗ္ဗိမ် ကုန်း နား၊ သေလ မြို့မှစ၍ အထက် အရပ်ပေတည်း။
