Judges 10
1 After Abimelech, Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, arose to save Israel. He lived in Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.
१अबीमलेखाच्या मृत्यूनंतर इस्राएलाच्या सुटकेसाठी दोदोचा पुत्र पुवा याचा पुत्र तोला, जो इस्साखारातला मनुष्य तो उभा झाला, आणि तो एफ्राइम डोंगराळ प्रदेशात शामीर शहरात राहत होता.
2 He judged Israel twenty-three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
२त्याने तेवीस वर्षे इस्राएलाचा न्याय केला, मग तो मेला आणि शामीर नगरात पुरला गेला.
3 After him Jair, the Gileadite, arose. He judged Israel twenty-two years.
३नंतर त्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर गिलादी याईर उभा राहिला, आणि त्याने बावीस वर्षे इस्राएलाचा न्याय केला.
4 He had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkey colts. They had thirty cities, which are called Havvoth Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
४त्यास तीस पुत्र होते; प्रत्येकाचे आपापले गाढव होते ज्यावर ते सवार होत होते; आणि त्यास तीस नगरेही होती; आजपर्यंत त्यास हावोथ याईर म्हणतात; ती गिलादाच्या प्रांतात आहेत.
5 Jair died, and was buried in Kamon.
५मग याईर मरण पावल्यावर त्यास कामोन शहरात पुरले.
6 The children of Israel again did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and served the Baals, the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines. They abandoned Yahweh, and didn’t serve him.
६यानंतर इस्राएलाच्या लोकांनी फिरून देवाच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट ते केले; कारण की त्यांनी बआल, अष्टारोथ, अरामाचे देव, सीदोनातले देव, मवाबातले देव व अम्मोनी लोकांचे देव व पलिष्ट्यांचे देव, यांची उपासना केली; त्यांनी परमेश्वरास सोडले, आणि त्यानंतर त्याची उपासना केलीच नाही.
7 Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the children of Ammon.
७यास्तव परमेश्वराचा राग इस्राएलावर भडकला, आणि त्याने त्यांना पलिष्ट्यांच्या हाती व अम्मोनी लोकांच्या हाती दिले.
8 They troubled and oppressed the children of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
८त्या वर्षी, त्यानंतर अठरा वर्षे त्यांनी इस्राएलाच्या सर्व लोकांस छळले आणि यार्देनेच्या पलीकडे अमोऱ्यांच्या देशातल्या गिलादात जे इस्राएली होते त्या सर्वांना जाचले.
9 The children of Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was very distressed.
९यहूदा व बन्यामीन व एफ्राइमाची घराणे यांच्याशीही लढावयास अम्मोनी लोक यार्देन पार करून अलीकडे आले, त्यामुळे इस्राएलावर फार मोठे दु: ख आले.
10 The children of Israel cried to Yahweh, saying, “We have sinned against you, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.”
१०तेव्हा इस्राएली लोकांनी परमेश्वरास मोठ्याने आरोळी मारीत म्हटले की, “आम्ही तुझ्याविरुद्ध पाप केले आहे; ते असे की आम्ही आपल्या देवाला सोडून बआलाच्या मूर्तींची उपासना केली.”
11 Yahweh said to the children of Israel, “Didn’t I save you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
११तेव्हा परमेश्वराने इस्राएलाच्या लोकांस म्हटले. “मिसऱ्यांपासून व अमोऱ्यांपासून व अम्मोन्यांच्या लोकांपासून व पलिष्ट्यांपासून मी तुम्हाला सोडवले नाही काय?
12 The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, oppressed you; and you cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand.
१२आणि सीदोनी व अमालेकी व मावोनी यानी तुम्हाला जाचले, तेव्हा तुम्ही मला मोठ्याने हाक मारली, आणि मी तुम्हाला त्यांच्या हातातून सोडवले.
13 Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods. Therefore I will save you no more.
१३तरी तुम्ही मला सोडून दुसऱ्या देवांची उपासना केली; यास्तव मी यापुढे तुमचा बचाव करणार नाही.
14 Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them save you in the time of your distress!”
१४जा, आणि ज्या देवाची तुम्ही उपासना करता त्यास हाक मारा; तुमच्या संकटाच्या वेळेस त्याने तुम्हाला सोडवावे.”
15 The children of Israel said to Yahweh, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”
१५तेव्हा इस्राएलाच्या लोकांनी परमेश्वरास म्हटले, “आम्ही पाप केले आहे; जे सर्व तुला चांगले वाटेल, त्याप्रमाणे तू आम्हांला कर; आम्ही तुला विनंती करतो केवळ त्या दिवशी तू आम्हांला सोडव.”
16 They put away the foreign gods from among them and served Yahweh; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
१६तेव्हा त्यांनी आपल्यामधून परके देव दूर करून परमेश्वराची उपासना केली, आणि इस्राएलाच्या दुःखामुळे त्याच्या मनाला खेद झाला.
17 Then the children of Ammon were gathered together and encamped in Gilead. The children of Israel assembled themselves together and encamped in Mizpah.
१७अम्मोनी लोक तर एकत्र मिळून त्यांनी गिलादात तळ दिला, आणि इस्राएलाच्या लोकांनी एकत्र जमून मिस्पात तळ दिला.
18 The people, the princes of Gilead, said to one another, “Who is the man who will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”
१८तेव्हा गिलादातले लोक व अधिकारी एकमेकांना म्हणाले, “जो मनुष्य अम्मोनी लोकांशी लढू लागेल असा मनुष्य कोण आहे? तो गिलादातल्या सर्व राहणाऱ्यांचा अधिकारी असा होईल.”
