Joshua 16
1 The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.
La suerte salió para los hijos de José desde el Jordán en Jericó, en las aguas de Jericó al oriente, hasta el desierto, subiendo desde Jericó por la región montañosa hasta Betel.
2 It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;
Salía de Betel a Luz, y pasaba por el límite de los arquitas hasta Atarot;
3 and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, and on to Gezer; and ended at the sea.
y descendía hacia el oeste hasta el límite de los jafletitas, hasta el límite de Bet Horón el inferior, y seguía hasta Gezer; y terminaba en el mar.
4 The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
Los hijos de José, Manasés y Efraín, tomaron su herencia.
5 This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.
Este fue el límite de los hijos de Efraín según sus familias. El límite de su herencia hacia el este era Atarot Addar, hasta Bet Horón el superior.
6 The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.
La frontera salía hacia el oeste en Micmetat, al norte. La frontera giraba hacia el este hasta Taanat Silo, y pasaba por ella al este de Janoa.
7 It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
Bajaba de Janoa a Atarot, a Naarah, llegaba a Jericó y salía al Jordán.
8 From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;
Desde Tappua, el límite se extendía hacia el oeste hasta el arroyo de Caná, y terminaba en el mar. Esta es la herencia de la tribu de los hijos de Efraín según sus familias;
9 together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
junto con las ciudades que fueron apartadas para los hijos de Efraín en medio de la herencia de los hijos de Manasés, todas las ciudades con sus aldeas.
10 They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the territory of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.
No expulsaron a los cananeos que vivían en Gezer; pero los cananeos habitan en el territorio de Efraín hasta el día de hoy, y se han convertido en siervos para realizar trabajos forzados.
