Job 38
1 Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind,
੧ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
2 “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
੨“ਇਹ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗਿਆਨਹੀਣ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ?
3 Brace yourself like a man, for I will question you, then you answer me!
੩ਪੁਰਖ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸ ਲੈ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ!”
4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding.
੪“ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਸੀ? ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ!
5 Who determined its measures, if you know? Or who stretched the line on it?
੫ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਪ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ, ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਬ ਖਿੱਚੀ?
6 What were its foundations fastened on? Or who laid its cornerstone,
੬ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੇਕਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ, ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਦਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਧਰਿਆ,
7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
੭ਜਦ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜੈਕਾਰੇ ਗਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਰੇ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ?”
8 “Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke out of the womb,
੮“ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ?
9 when I made clouds its garment, and wrapped it in thick darkness,
੯ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਬੱਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਪਹਿਨਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਪੇਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
10 marked out for it my bound, set bars and doors,
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਈਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਅਰਲ ਤੇ ਕਵਾੜ ਲਾਏ?
11 and said, ‘You may come here, but no further. Your proud waves shall be stopped here’?
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਐਥੇ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਆਈਂ, ਅੱਗੇ ਨਾ ਵਧੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਐਥੇ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਠਾਠਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਰੁੱਕ ਜਾਣ!”
12 “Have you commanded the morning in your days, and caused the dawn to know its place,
੧੨“ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੀ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਜਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ,
13 that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and shake the wicked out of it?
੧੩ਭਈ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਲਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਝਾੜੇ ਜਾਣ?
14 It is changed as clay under the seal, and presented as a garment.
੧੪ਉਹ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚੀਕਣੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਮੋਹਰ ਦੇ ਹੇਠੋਂ, ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਜਾਣੋ ਬਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
15 From the wicked, their light is withheld. The high arm is broken.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਭੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।”
16 “Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?
੧੬“ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸੋਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਿਆ, ਜਾਂ ਡੂੰਘਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਝੇ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਿਆ ਹੈਂ?
17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?
੧੭ਕੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ, ਜਾਂ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ?
18 Have you comprehended the earth in its width? Declare, if you know it all.
੧੮ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਦੱਸ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ!”
19 “What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place,
੧੯“ਚਾਨਣ ਦੀ ਵੱਸੋਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਕਿੱਧਰ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ?
20 that you should take it to its bound, that you should discern the paths to its house?
੨੦ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
21 Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!
੨੧ਤੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਹੈ!”
22 Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,
੨੨“ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਬਰਫ਼ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਗੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
23 which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
੨੩ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ?
24 By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth?
੨੪ਚਾਨਣ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਵਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਖਿਲਾਰੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ?
25 Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunderstorm,
੨੫ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਾਲੀ ਪੁੱਟੀ, ਜਾਂ ਕੜਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ,
26 to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man,
੨੬ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਾਵੇ, ਉਜਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ,
27 to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow?
੨੭ਭਈ ਉਜੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਨੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਜਾਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰਾ ਘਾਹ ਉਗਾਵੇ?
28 Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?
੨੮ਕੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੀਆਂ ਹਨ?
29 Whose womb did the ice come out of? Who has given birth to the gray frost of the sky?
੨੯ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਫ਼ ਜੰਮੀ, ਜਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਕੱਕਰ ਕਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ?
30 The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen.
੩੦ਪਾਣੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜੰਮ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਡੂੰਘਿਆਈ ਦੀ ਤਹਿ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਮਾਓ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।”
31 “Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?
੩੧“ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਕੱਚਪਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਾਂ ਸਪਤ੍ਰਿਖ ਦੇ ਰੱਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
32 Can you lead the constellations out in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?
੩੨ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਰੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਬਦਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਾਂ ਭਾਲੂ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
33 Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?
੩੩ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ?”
34 “Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you?
੩੪ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਦਲ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਚੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜੋ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਜ ਲਵੇ?
35 Can you send out lightnings, that they may go? Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’?
੩੫ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਬਿਜਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹਾਂ?”
36 Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the mind?
੩੬ਵਿਵੇਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਰੱਖੀ, ਜਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ?
37 Who can count the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the containers of the sky,
੩੭ਕੌਣ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਗਿਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ,
38 when the dust runs into a mass, and the clods of earth stick together?
੩੮ਜਦ ਧੂੜ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਘਾਣੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਡਲੇ ਘੁਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ?
39 “Can you hunt the prey for the lioness, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
੩੯“ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਨੀ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
40 when they crouch in their dens, and lie in wait in the thicket?
੪੦ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਖੁੰਧਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਬਕੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਝਾੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਹਿ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ?
41 Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?
੪੧ਕੌਣ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਚੋਗਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਚੋਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਡਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ?”
