Jeremiah 32
1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
১যিহূদার রাজা সিদিকিয়ের দশম বছরে, নবূখদনিৎসরের রাজত্বের আঠারো বছরে সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য যিরমিয়ের কাছে এল।
2 Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem. Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.
২সেই দিনের বাবিলের রাজার সৈন্যদল যিরূশালেম অবরোধ করছিল এবং যিরমিয় ভাববাদী যিহূদার রাজবাড়ীর পাহারাদারদের উঠানে বন্দী ছিলেন।
3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, “Why do you prophesy, and say, ‘Yahweh says, “Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will take it;
৩যিহূদার রাজা সিদিকিয় তাঁকে বন্দী করেছেন এবং বলেছেন, “কেন তুমি ভাববাণী করে বল, সদাপ্রভু বলেন, ‘আমি এই শহরকে বাবিলের রাজার হাতে সমর্পণ করব এবং সে এটা দখল করবে।
4 and Zedekiah king of Judah won’t escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but will surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes will see his eyes;
৪যিহূদার রাজা সিদিকিয় কলদীয় রাজার হাত থেকে রেহাই পাবে না, কারণ সে বাবিল রাজার হাতে সমর্পিত হবে। বাবিলের রাজার মুখোমুখি হয়ে সে কথা বলবে এবং নিজের চোখে তাকে দেখবে।
5 and he will bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and he will be there until I visit him,” says Yahweh, “though you fight with the Chaldeans, you will not prosper”’?”
৫কারণ সিদিকিয় বাবিলে যাবে এবং যতক্ষণ না আমি তার সাথে কিছু করি, ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত সে সেখানেই থাকবে।’ প্রস্তুত এটা সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা। কারণ তোমরা কলদীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করলেও সফল হবে না।”
6 Jeremiah said, “Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
৬যিরমিয় বললেন, “সদাপ্রভু এই বাক্য আমার কাছে এসেছিল এবং বলল,
7 ‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, “Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.”’”
৭‘দেখ, আমার কাকা শল্লুমের ছেলে হনমেল তোমার কাছে আসবে এবং বলবে অনাথোতে আমার যে জমিটি আছে, তা তুমি নিজের জন্য কেনো, কারণ সেটি কিনে মুক্ত করা অধিকার তোমার আছে’।
8 “So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the guard according to Yahweh’s word, and said to me, ‘Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself.’ “Then I knew that this was Yahweh’s word.
৮তখন সদাপ্রভুর কথামতই আমার কাকার ছেলে হনমেল পাহারাদারদের উঠানে আমার কাছে এসে বলল, ‘বিন্যামীন প্রদেশে অনাথোতে আমার যে জমি আছে সেটা তুমি কেনো। কারণ সেখানে বাস করার অধিকার ও সেটি মুক্ত করার অধিকার তোমার আছে। তাই তুমিই সেটি নিজের জন্য কেনো’। তখন আমি জানলাম এটি সদাপ্রভুরই বাক্য।
9 I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
৯তাই আমার কাকার ছেলে হনমেলের কাছ থেকে আমি অনাথোতের সেই জমিটি কিনলাম এবং সতেরো শেকল রূপা তাকে ওজন করে দিলাম।
10 I signed the deed, sealed it, called witnesses, and weighed the money in the balances to him.
১০আমি গুটানো কাগজে লিখলাম, সীলমোহর করলাম ও সাক্ষী রাখলাম। তখন দাঁড়িপাল্লায় ওজন করে রূপা দিলাম।
11 So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;
১১আমি দুটি গুটানো কাগজ নিলাম নিয়ম ও শর্ত লেখা সীলমোহর করা একটি ও সীলমোহর না করা আর একটি।
12 and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.
১২আমি আমার কাকার ছেলে হনমেলের সামনে, যে সাক্ষীরা সীলমোহর করা কাগজে লিখেছিল, তাদের ও পাহারাদারদের উঠানে বসা সমস্ত ইহুদীদের সামনে সেই গুটানো কাগজটি মহসেয়ের নাতি, নেরিয়ের ছেলে বারূককে দিলাম।
13 “I commanded Baruch before them, saying,
১৩তাদের সামনেই আমি বারূককে আদেশ দিলাম। আমি বললাম,
14 Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.’
১৪‘বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই কথা বলেন তুমি সীলমোহর করা ও সীলমোহর না করা জমি কেনার গুটানো কাগজ দুটি একটি মাটির পাত্রে রাখ, যাতে তা অনেক দিন ঠিক থাকে’।
15 For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Houses and fields and vineyards will yet again be bought in this land.’
১৫কারণ বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই কথা বলেন, ‘এই দেশে বাড়ি, জমি ও আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত আবার কেনাবেচা চলবে’।
16 Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to Yahweh, saying,
১৬জমি কেনার গুটানো কাগজটি নেরিয়ের ছেলে বারূককে দেবার পর আমি সদাপ্রভুর কাছে এই প্রার্থনা করলাম,
17 “Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.
১৭ধিক, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু! তুমি একাই তোমার মহাশক্তি ও ক্ষমতাপূর্ণ হাত দিয়ে আকাশমণ্ডল ও পৃথিবী তৈরী করেছ। তোমার পক্ষে কিছু করাই অসম্ভব না।
18 You show loving kindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. The great, the mighty God, Yahweh of Armies is your name:
১৮তুমি হাজার পুরুষ পর্যন্ত তোমার চুক্তিতে বিশ্বস্ত থাক এবং বাবার পাপের শাস্তি তুমি তাদের পরের সন্তানদের কোলে দিয়ে থাক। তুমি মহান ও শক্তিশালী ঈশ্বর; বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু তোমার নাম।
19 great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
১৯তোমার জ্ঞান মহান ও তোমার কাজগুলি শক্তিপূর্ণ। কারণ মানুষের সমস্ত পথে তোমার চোখ খোলা থাকে; তুমি প্রত্যেকজনকে তার আচরণ ও কাজের প্রতিফল দিয়ে থাক।
20 who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among other men; and made yourself a name, as it is today;
২০তুমি মিশর দেশে অনেক চিহ্ন ও আশ্চর্য্য কাজ করেছিলে। আজও পর্যন্ত ইস্রায়েল ও সমস্ত মানবজাতির মধ্যে সেই সব করে চলেছ, তাতে তোমার নাম বিখ্যাত হয়েছে এখনও হচ্ছে।
21 and brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, with wonders, with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
২১কারণ তুমি চিহ্ন ও আশ্চর্য্য কাজ দিয়ে এবং শক্তিশালী ও ক্ষমতাপূর্ণ হাত বাড়িয়ে, আতঙ্কের সঙ্গে তোমার প্রজা ইস্রায়েলকে মিশর থেকে বের করে এনেছিলে।
22 and gave them this land, which you swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.
২২তুমি তাদের সেই দেশ দিয়েছিলে, যা তুমি তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে শপথ করেছিলে দুধ ও মধু প্রবাহিত একটি দেশ।
23 They came in and possessed it, but they didn’t obey your voice and didn’t walk in your law. They have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do. Therefore you have caused all this evil to come upon them.
২৩এবং তারা প্রবেশ করেছিল ও তা অধিকার করেছিল, কিন্তু তারা তোমার কথা মান্য করে নি বা তোমার ব্যবস্থার বাধ্য হয়নি। তুমি যা করতে তাদের আদেশ দিয়েছিলে তার কিছুই তারা করে নি। তাই এই সমস্ত বিপদ তুমি তাদের উপর এনেছ।
24 “Behold, siege ramps have been built against the city to take it. The city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, of the famine, and of the pestilence. What you have spoken has happened. Behold, you see it.
২৪দেখ, শহরটি দখল করার জন্য স্তূপ তৈরী করা হয়েছে। তরোয়াল, দূর্ভিক্ষ এবং মহামারীর মধ্যে দিয়ে শহরটি কলদীয়দের হাতে সমর্পিত হবে, যারা এর বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করছে। তুমি যা বলেছ, তা ঘটেছে, দেখ, তুমি তা সবই দেখছ।
25 You have said to me, Lord Yahweh, ‘Buy the field for money, and call witnesses;’ whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”
২৫তখন তুমি নিজে আমাকে বললে, ‘তুমি রূপা দিয়ে জমি কেনো ও সাক্ষী রাখ, কিন্তু এই শহরটি কলদীয়দের হাতে সমর্পিত হল’।”
26 Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
২৬সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য যিরমিয়ের কাছে এল এবং বলল,
27 “Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?
২৭“দেখ! আমি সদাপ্রভু, সমস্ত মানবজাতির ঈশ্বর। কোন কিছু করা কি আমার পক্ষে খুব কঠিন?”
28 Therefore Yahweh says: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.
২৮তাই সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “দেখ, আমি এই শহরটি কলদীয় ও বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিৎসরের হাতে সমর্পণ করব। সে এটি দখল করবে।
29 The Chaldeans, who fight against this city, will come and set this city on fire, and burn it with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.
২৯যে কলদীয়েরা এই শহরের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করছে তারা শহরে আসবে ও আগুন লাগাবে; যে সব বাড়ি ছাদে লোকেরা বাল দেবতার উদ্দেশ্যে ধূপ জ্বালিয়ে এবং অন্যান্য দেবতার উদ্দেশ্যে পেয় নৈবেদ্য ঢেলে আমাকে অসন্তুষ্ট করে, সেই সব কিছুর সঙ্গে শহরটি পুড়িয়ে দেবে।
30 “For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.
৩০কারণ ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার লোকেরা ছোটবেলা থেকে আমার চোখে সামনে মন্দ কাজ করেছে; বাস্তবিক ইস্রায়েলের লোকেরা তাদের হাতের কাজের মাধ্যমে আমাকে অসন্তুষ্টই করেছে।” এটা সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা।
31 For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day, so that I should remove it from before my face,
৩১“কারণ যখন থেকে এই শহরটি গড়ে উঠেছে, এটি আমার রোষ ও ক্রোধের কারণ হয়ে উঠেছে। এটা তখন থেকে আজ পর্যন্ত রয়েছে। এটা আমি আমার চোখের সামনে থেকে সরিয়ে ফেলার যোগ্য হয়ে উঠেছে।
32 because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger—they, their kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
৩২কারণ ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার লোকেরা তাদের মন্দ কাজ দিয়ে আমাকে অসন্তুষ্ট করেছে, তারা, তাদের রাজারা, নেতারা, যাজকরা, ভাববাদীরা এবং যিহূদার প্রত্যেকে ও যিরূশালেমের বাসিন্দারা।
33 They have turned their backs to me, and not their faces. Although I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.
৩৩তারা আমার দিকে পিছন ফিরিয়েছে, মুখ নয়; যদিও আমি তাদের শিক্ষা দিতে আগ্রহী হয়েছি। আমি তাদের শিক্ষা দিতে চেষ্টা করেছি, কিন্তু তারা কেউ আদেশ গ্রহণ করার জন্য শোনেনি।
34 But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
৩৪যে গৃহ আমার নাম পরিচিত, সেটি তারা তাদের জঘন্য জিনিসগুলি স্থাপন করে অশুচি করেছে।
35 They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through fire to Molech, which I didn’t command them. It didn’t even come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.”
৩৫তারা মোলক দেবতার উদ্দেশ্যে তাদের ছেলে মেয়েদের উৎসর্গ করবার জন্য বিন্-হিন্নোম উপত্যকায় বাল দেবতার উদ্দেশ্যে উঁচু স্থান তৈরী করেছে, যা আমি কখনও তাদের আদেশ দিইনি; তা আমার অন্তরে আসেনি যে তারা এই রকম জঘন্য কাজ করে যিহূদাকে পাপ করাবে।
36 Now therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning this city, about which you say, “It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:”
৩৬তাই এখন, তোমরা যে শহরের বিষয়ে বল, ‘এটি তরোয়াল, দূর্ভিক্ষ ও মহামারীর মধ্যে দিয়ে বাবিলের রাজাকে সমর্পিত হল’ সেই শহরের বিষয়ে আমি, সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর বলি,
37 “Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place. I will cause them to dwell safely.
৩৭দেখ, আমি নিশ্চয়ই তাদের জড়ো করব, যে সব দেশে আমি নিজের ক্রোধ, অসন্তোষ এবং প্রচণ্ড রোষে তাদের ছিন্নভিন্ন করেছি। আমি এই জায়গায় তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনব এবং তাদের নিরাপদে বাস করতে দেব।
38 Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.
৩৮তখন তারা আমার প্রজা হবে ও আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব।
39 I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good and the good of their children after them.
৩৯আমি তাদের একটি অন্তর ও একটি পথ দেব, যা দিয়ে তারা প্রতিদিন আমার সম্মান করবে; এটি তাদের ও তাদের পরের সন্তানদের জন্য মঙ্গল জনক হবে।
40 I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.
৪০আমি তাদের জন্য এই চিরস্থায়ী ব্যবস্থা স্থাপন করব যে, আমি তাদের দিক থেকে কখনও মুখ ফেরাব না। আমি তাদের মঙ্গল করব এবং তারা যেন আমাকে ত্যাগ না করে, তাই তাদের অন্তরে সম্মান স্থাপন করব।
41 Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.”
৪১আমি আনন্দের সঙ্গে তাদের মঙ্গল করব। আমি সম্পূর্ণ অন্তর ও ইচ্ছা দিয়ে বিশ্বস্ততার সঙ্গে তাদের এই দেশে রোপণ করব।”
42 For Yahweh says: “Just as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.
৪২কারণ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “আমি এই লোকদের উপর যেমন এই সমস্ত মহা বিপদ এনেছি, তেমনি তাদের কাছে যে সমস্ত মঙ্গল করার প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছি, তাদের জন্য সে সমস্ত করব।
43 Fields will be bought in this land, about which you say, ‘It is desolate, without man or animal. It is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’
৪৩তার এই যে দেশের বিষয়ে তোমরা বলছ, ‘এটি একটি পতিত জমি, যেখানে মানুষ বা পশু কিছুই নেই; কারণ এটি কলদীয়দের হাতে সমর্পিত হয়েছে’।
44 Men will buy fields for money, sign the deeds, seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed,” says Yahweh.
৪৪সেই দেশে আবার জমি কেনাবেচা হবে। বিন্যামীন প্রদেশে, যিরূশালেমের চারপাশের এলাকায়, যিহূদার ও পার্বত্য অঞ্চলের সমস্ত শহরে, নেগেভের সমস্ত শহরে লোকেরা রূপা দিয়ে জমি কিনবে, সীলমোহর গুটানো কাগজে লিখবে এবং সাক্ষী রাখবে; কারণ আমি তাদের অবস্থা ফেরাব।” এটা সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা।
