< Isaiah 55 >
1 “Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
“Vakai mai, ʻakimoutolu kotoa pē ʻoku fieinu, haʻu ki he ngaahi vai, pea mo ia ʻoku ʻikai haʻane paʻanga; mou haʻu, ʻo fakatau, pea kai; ʻio, haʻu ʻo fakatau uaine mo e huʻahuhu taʻehapaʻanga pea taʻehatotongi.
2 Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in richness.
Ko e hā ʻoku mou ʻatu ai ʻae paʻanga ki he meʻa ʻoku ʻikai ko e mā? Mo hoʻomou ngāue ki he meʻa ʻoku ʻikai fakamākona? Mou fanongo ʻo tokanga kiate au, pea mou kai ʻaia ʻoku lelei, pea tuku ke fiefia homou laumālie ʻi he meʻakai lelei lahi.
3 Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Fakatokangaʻi homou telinga, pea haʻu kiate au fanongo, pea ʻe moʻui homou laumālie, pea te u fai ʻae fuakava taʻengata mo kimoutolu, ʻio, ʻae ngaahi ʻaloʻofa tuʻumaʻu kia Tevita.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.
Vakai, kuo u foaki ia ko e fakamoʻoni ki he kakai, ko e takimuʻa mo e pule ki he kakai.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you don’t know; and a nation that didn’t know you shall run to you, because of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.”
Vakai, te ke ui ʻae puleʻanga ʻoku ʻikai te ke ʻilo ni, pea ko e ngaahi puleʻanga ʻoku ʻikai te nau ʻilo koe te nau lele kiate koe koeʻuhi ko Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea koeʻuhi ko e tokotaha māʻoniʻoni ʻo ʻIsileli; he kuo ne fakaongoongoleleiʻi koe.”
6 Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.
Mou kumi kia Sihova ʻi he lolotonga ʻoku faʻa ʻilo ia, ui kiate ia ʻi heʻene kei ofi:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.
Tuku ke liʻaki ʻe he angahala hono hala, mo e tangata taʻemāʻoniʻoni ʻene ngaahi mahalo: pea tuku ke ne foki kia Sihova, pea te ne ʻaloʻofa kiate ia; pea ki hotau ʻOtua, he te ne fakamolemole ʻo lahi ʻaupito.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.
He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “ʻOku ʻikai ko hoʻomou ngaahi mahalo ʻa ʻeku mahalo, pea ʻoku ʻikai ko homou ngaahi hala ʻa hoku ngaahi hala.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
He ʻoku hangē ʻoku māʻolunga hake ʻae ngaahi langi mei he māmani, ʻoku pehē hono māʻolunga ʻo hoku ngaahi hala, pea mo ʻeku mahalo ʻi hoʻomou ngaahi mahalo.
10 For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
Pea hangē ʻoku ʻalu hifo ʻae ʻuha, mo e ʻuha hinehina mei he langi, pea ʻikai toe foki ki ai, ka ʻoku fakaviviku ʻae kelekele, pea ngaohi ia ke tupu mo fua, koeʻuhi ke ʻomi mei ai ʻae tenga ki he tangata tūtuuʻi, pea mo e mā kiate ia ʻoku kai.
11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
ʻE pehē ʻeku folofola ʻaia ʻoku ʻalu atu ʻi hoku fofonga: ʻe ʻikai foki taʻefua kiate au, ka e lavaʻi ia ʻaia ʻoku ou faʻiteliha ki ai, pea ʻe monūʻia ia ʻi he meʻa ʻoku ou fekau ia ki ai.
12 For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.
He te mou ʻalu atu ʻi he fiefia, pea ʻe taki atu ʻakimoutolu ʻi he fiemālie: ʻe pā ʻae hiva ʻi homou ʻao mei he ngaahi moʻunga mo e potu tafungofunga, pea ʻe pasipasi nima ʻe he ngaahi ʻakau kotoa pē ʻoe vao.
13 Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for Yahweh, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”
ʻE tupu hake ʻae ʻakau ko e fea ko e fetongi ʻoe ʻakau talatala, pea ʻe tupu ʻae maile ko e fetongi ʻoe talatalaʻāmoa: pea ʻe hoko ia ko e meʻa fakamanatu kia Sihova, ko e fakaʻilonga taʻengata ʻaia ʻe ʻikai ʻauha.”
