Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message? To whom has Yahweh’s arm been revealed?
૧આપણે જે સાંભળ્યું તે કોણે માન્યું છે? અને યહોવાહનો ભુજ, તે કોની આગળ પ્રગટ થયેલો છે?
2 For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
૨તે યહોવાહની સમક્ષ રોપાની જેમ ઊગી નીકળ્યો અને સૂકી ભૂમિમાં ફણગાની જેમ ફૂટી નીકળ્યો; તેની પાસે કોઈ સૌંદર્ય કે વૈભવ ન હતા; જયારે આપણે તેને જોયો, તેનામાં આપણને આકર્ષી શકે તેવી સુંદરતા નહોતી.
3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.
૩તે માણસોથી ધિક્કારાયેલો તથા નકારાયેલો હતો; દુ: ખી પુરુષ અને દર્દનો અનુભવી. જેને જોઈને માણસો પોતાનું મુખ ફેરવી લે, એવો ધિક્કાર પામેલો તે હતો; અને આપણે તેની કદર કરી નહિ.
4 Surely he has borne our sickness and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
૪પણ નિશ્ચે તેણે આપણી માંદગી માથે લીધી અને આપણાં દુ: ખ વેઠ્યાં છે; પણ આપણે તો તેને ઈશ્વરથી શિક્ષા પામેલો, ઈશ્વર દ્વારા મારવામાં આવેલો તથા પીડિત થયેલો માન્યો.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
૫પણ આપણા અપરાધોને લીધે તે વીંધાયો; આપણા પાપોને લીધે તે કચડાયો. આપણને શાંતિ પ્રાપ્ત કરાવવાને માટે તેને શિક્ષા થઈ અને તેના સોળથી આપણને સાજાપણું મળ્યું છે.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
૬આપણે સર્વ ઘેટાંની જેમ ભટકી ગયા છીએ; આપણે દરેક પોતપોતાને માર્ગે વળી ગયા છીએ અને યહોવાહે તેના પર આપણા સર્વના પાપનો ભાર મૂક્યો છે.
7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he didn’t open his mouth.
૭તેના પર જુલમ ગુજારવામાં આવ્યો; તો પણ તેણે નમ્ર થઈને પોતાનું મુખ ઉઘાડ્યું નહિ; જેમ હલવાનને વધ કરવા માટે લઈ જવામાં આવે છે અને જેમ ઘેટું પોતાના કાતરનારની આગળ મૂંગું રહે છે, તેમ તેણે પોતાનું મુખ ખોલ્યું નહિ.
8 He was taken away by oppression and judgment. As for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?
૮જુલમથી તથા ન્યાયચુકાદાથી તેને અપરાધી ઠરાવવામાં આવ્યો; તેની પેઢીનાં માણસોમાંથી કોણે તેના વિષે કંઈ વિચાર કર્યો? પણ તેને જીવતાઓની ભૂમિમાંથી કાપી નાખવામાં આવ્યો; મારા લોકોના અપરાધોને લીધે તેને શિક્ષા થઈ.
9 They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
૯તેની કબર ગુનેગારોની સાથે ઠરાવેલી હતી, તેની મરણાવસ્થામાં તે ધનિકની સાથે હતો, તેમ છતાં તેણે કોઈ હિંસા કરી નહિ કે તેના મુખમાં કોઈ કપટ નહોતું.
10 Yet it pleased Yahweh to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he will see his offspring. He will prolong his days and Yahweh’s pleasure will prosper in his hand.
૧૦તોપણ યહોવાહની મરજી તેને ઘાયલ કરીને કચરવાની હતી; જો તમે લોકો તેના જીવનને પાપનું બલિદાન બનાવો, તો તે પોતાનાં સંતાન જોશે, તે દીર્ઘાયુ થશે અને યહોવાહનો હેતુ તેના દ્વારા સફળ થશે.
11 After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.
૧૧તે પોતાના આત્માનાં કષ્ટનું ફળ જોશે અને તેના ડહાપણથી સંતોષ પામશે. મારો ન્યાયી સેવક ઘણાનો ઇનસાફ કરશે; અને તેઓના અપરાધો પોતાને માથે લઈ લેશે.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion with the great. He will divide the plunder with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was counted with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many and made intercession for the transgressors.
૧૨તેથી હું તેને મહાન પુરુષોની સાથે તેનો હિસ્સો વહેંચી આપીશ અને તે લૂંટ ઘણાની સાથે લૂંટ વહેંચશે, કારણ કે તેણે પોતાનો આત્મા મરણ પામતાં સુધી રેડી દીધો અને તેની ગણતરી અપરાધીઓમાં થઈ. તેણે ઘણાંઓનાં પાપ માથે લીધાં અને અપરાધીઓને માટે મધ્યસ્થી કરી.
