< Isaiah 28 >

1 Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine!
Tsoka ufumu wonyada wa zidakwa za ku Efereimu. Tsoka kwa ulemerero wake wokongola umene ukufota ngati duwa limene lili pa mutu pa anthu oledzera a mʼchigwa chachonde.
2 Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.
Taonani, ambuye ali naye wina wamphamvu ndi nyonga. Iye adzabwera ngati mkuntho wamatalala ndi namondwe wowononga, ngati madzi amphamvu osefukira a mvula yamkuntho; ndipo adzawagwetsa pansi mwankhanza.
3 The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden under foot.
Ulamuliro wa atsogoleri oledzera a ku Efereimu adzawuthetsa.
4 The fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley, shall be like the first-ripe fig before the summer, which someone picks and eats as soon as he sees it.
Ndipo ulemerero wokongola wa mzinda umene uli ngati duwa lofota pamutu pa anthu oledzera a mʼchigwa chachonde uja, udzakhala ngati nkhuyu yoyambirira kupsa imene munthu akangoyiona amayithyola nthawi yokolola isanakwane.
5 In that day, Yahweh of Armies will become a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the residue of his people,
Tsiku limenelo Yehova Wamphamvuzonse adzakhala ngati nkhata yaufumu, chipewa chokongola kwa anthu ake otsala.
6 and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
Iye adzapereka mtima wachilungamo kwa oweruza, adzakhala chilimbikitso kwa amene amabweza adani pa zipata za mzinda.
7 They also reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink. The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink. They are swallowed up by wine. They stagger with strong drink. They err in vision. They stumble in judgment.
Nawonso awa ali dzandidzandi chifukwa cha vinyo ndipo akusochera chifukwa cha mowa: ansembe ndi aneneri akudzandira chifukwa cha mowa ndipo akusokonezeka chifukwa cha vinyo; akusochera chifukwa cha mowa, akudzandira pamene akuona masomphenya, kupunthwa pamene akupereka chigamulo.
8 For all tables are completely full of filthy vomit and filthiness.
Pa matebulo onse pali masanzi okhaokha ndipo palibenso malo wopanda zonyansa.
9 Whom will he teach knowledge? To whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?
Iwo akuti, “Kodi munthu ameneyu akufuna aphunzitse ndani? Uthengawu akufuna kufotokozera yani? Ndi kwa ana amene aleka kuyamwa, kwa makanda ongowachotsa kumene ku bere?
10 For it is precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little.
Akuyesa kumatiphunzitsa pangʼonopangʼono lemba ndi lemba, mzere ndi mzere, phunziro ndi phunziro. Zonsezi akungoti apa pangʼono apa pangʼono.”
11 But he will speak to this nation with stammering lips and in another language,
Mulungu adzayankhula kwa anthu ake kudzera mwa anthu aziyankhulo zachilendo, ziyankhulo zosamveka bwino. Mulungu adzayankhula kwa anthu awa, amene
12 to whom he said, “This is the resting place. Give rest to the weary,” and “This is the refreshing;” yet they would not hear.
anakuwuzani kuti, “Malo opumulira ndi ano, otopa apumule, malo owusira ndi ano.” Koma inu simunamvere.
13 Therefore Yahweh’s word will be to them precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, fall backward, be broken, be snared, and be taken.
Choncho Yehova adzakuphunzitsani pangʼonopangʼono lemba ndi lemba, mzere ndi mzere, phunziro ndi phunziro. Kotero mudzayenda ndi kugwa chambuyo, adzapweteka ndi kukodwa mu msampha ndipo adzakutengani ku ukapolo.
14 Therefore hear Yahweh’s word, you scoffers, that rule this people in Jerusalem:
Nʼchifukwa chake imvani mawu a Yehova, inu anthu achipongwe amene mumalamulira anthu awa mu Yerusalemu.
15 “Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and we are in agreement with Sheol. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it won’t come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.’” (Sheol h7585)
Inu mumayankhula monyada kuti, “Ife tinachita pangano ndi imfa, ife tachita mgwirizano ndi manda. Pamene mliri woopsa ukadzafika sudzatikhudza ife, chifukwa timadalira bodza ngati pothawirapo pathu ndi chinyengo ngati malo anthu obisalapo.” (Sheol h7585)
16 Therefore the Lord Yahweh says, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.
Tsono zimene Ambuye Yehova akunena ndi izi: “Taonani, ndikuyika mwala wovomerezeka ndi amisiri ngati maziko mu Ziyoni, mwala wapangodya, wamtengowapatali wopanga maziko amphamvu; munthu amene awukhulupirira sadzagwedezeka.
17 I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plumb line. The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.
Ntchito zolungama zidzakhala ngati chingwe choyezera maziko ake, ndipo chilungamo chidzakhala chowongolera mzere; matalala adzawononga malo anu othawirapo, amene ndi mabodza, ndipo madzi adzamiza malo anu obisalako.
18 Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it. (Sheol h7585)
Pangano limene munachita ndi imfa lidzathetsedwa; mgwirizano wanu ndi manda udzachotsedwa. Pakuti mliri woopsa udzafika, ndipo udzakugonjetsani. (Sheol h7585)
19 As often as it passes through, it will seize you; for morning by morning it will pass through, by day and by night; and it will be nothing but terror to understand the message.”
Ndipo ukadzangofika udzakutengani. Udzafika mmawa uliwonse, usiku ndi usana.” Anthu akadzamvetsetsa uthenga umenewu adzaopsedwa kwambiri.
20 For the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the blanket is too narrow to wrap oneself in.
Mudzakhala ngati munthu wogona pa bedi lalifupi kwambiri kuti sangathe kutambalitsapo miyendo; ndiponso mudzakhala ngati munthu amene wafunda bulangeti lochepa kwambiri kuti sangathe nʼkufunda komwe.
21 For Yahweh will rise up as on Mount Perazim. He will be angry as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his unusual work, and bring to pass his act, his extraordinary act.
Yehova adzamenya nkhondo monga anachitira ku phiri la Perazimu adzakalipa monga anachitira ku chigwa cha Gibiyoni; adzagwira ntchito yake yooneka ngati yachilendo, ndipo zimene ati adzachite zidzakhala ngati zodabwitsa.
22 Now therefore don’t be scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, on the whole earth.
Tsopano lekani kunyoza, mukapanda kutero maunyolo anu adzakuthinani kwambiri; Ambuye, Yehova Wamphamvuzonse wandiwuza kuti, “Ndagamula kuti ndidzawononga dziko lapansi.”
23 Give ear, and hear my voice! Listen, and hear my speech!
Tcherani khutu ndipo mumve mawu anga; mvetserani ndipo mumve zimene ndikunena.
24 Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking the clods?
Kodi mlimi wofuna kudzala mbewu amangokhalira kutipula kokhakokha? Kodi amangokhalira kugawula ndi kugalawuza kokhakokha?
25 When he has leveled its surface, doesn’t he plant the dill, and scatter the cumin seed, and put in the wheat in rows, the barley in the appointed place, and the spelt in its place?
Pamene iye wasalaza mundawo, kodi samafesa mawere ndi chitowe? Kodi suja samadzala tirigu ndi barele mʼmizere yake, nadzala mchewere mʼphepete mwa mundawo?
26 For his God instructs him in right judgment and teaches him.
Mulungu wake amamulangiza ndi kumuphunzitsa njira yabwino.
27 For the dill isn’t threshed with a sharp instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned over the cumin; but the dill is beaten out with a stick, and the cumin with a rod.
Mawere sapunthira chopunthira cha galeta lopanda mikombero, kapena chitowe sapuntha popondetsapo mikombero ya galeta; mawere amapuntha ndi ndodo ndipo chitowe amapuntha ndi kamtengo.
28 Bread flour must be ground; so he will not always be threshing it. Although he drives the wheel of his threshing cart over it, his horses don’t grind it.
Tirigu ayenera kusinjidwa kuti apangire buledi, komabe munthu samangokhalira kupuntha tiriguyo osalekeza, kuopa kuti angatekedzeke. Ngakhale kuti amapuntha tiriguyo poyendetsapo mikombero ya galeta, koma akavalo ake satekedza tiriguyo.
29 This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
Izinso zimachokera kwa Yehova Wamphamvuzonse, wa uphungu wodabwitsa ndi wa nzeru zopambana.
