Genesis 34
1 Dinah, the daughter of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.
Изыде же Дина дщи Лиина, юже роди Иакову, познати дщери обитателей.
2 Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her. He took her, lay with her, and humbled her.
И виде ю Сихем сын Емморов Хорреанин, князь тоя земли: и поим ю, бысть с нею и смири ю:
3 His soul joined to Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the young lady, and spoke kindly to the young lady.
и внят душею Дине дщери Иаковли, и возлюби девицу, и глагола к ней по мысли девицы.
4 Shechem spoke to his father, Hamor, saying, “Get me this young lady as a wife.”
Рече же Сихем ко Еммору отцу своему, глаголя: поими мне отроковицу сию в жену.
5 Now Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah, his daughter; and his sons were with his livestock in the field. Jacob held his peace until they came.
Иаков же слыша, яко оскверни сын Емморов Дину дщерь его: сынове же его бяху со скоты его на поли: премолча же Иаков, дондеже приити им.
6 Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to talk with him.
Изыде же Еммор отец Сихемль ко Иакову глаголати к нему.
7 The sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard it. The men were grieved, and they were very angry, because he had done folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter, a thing that ought not to be done.
Сынове же Иаковли приидоша с поля: егда же услышаша, смутишася мужие, и жалостно им бысть зело, яко не лепо сотвори во Израили, быв со дщерию Иаковлею: и не будет сице.
8 Hamor talked with them, saying, “The soul of my son, Shechem, longs for your daughter. Please give her to him as a wife.
И рече им Еммор, глаголя: Сихем сын мой избра душею дщерь вашу: дадите убо ю в жену ему:
9 Make marriages with us. Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves.
и сосватайтеся с нами: дщери вашя дадите нам, и дщери нашя поимите сыновом своим,
10 You shall dwell with us, and the land will be before you. Live and trade in it, and get possessions in it.”
и у нас населитеся: и се, земля пространна пред вами: населитеся и куплю дейте на ней, и притяжите на ней.
11 Shechem said to her father and to her brothers, “Let me find favor in your eyes, and whatever you will tell me I will give.
Рече же Сихем ко отцу ея и ко братиям ея: да обрящу благодать пред вами, и еже аще речете, дадим:
12 Ask me a great amount for a dowry, and I will give whatever you ask of me, but give me the young lady as a wife.”
умножите вено зело, и дам, якоже речете ми: и дасте ми отроковицу сию в жену.
13 The sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with deceit when they spoke, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,
Отвещаша же сынове Иаковли Сихему и Еммору отцу его с лестию, и глаголаша к ним, яко оскверниша Дину сестру их.
14 and said to them, “We can’t do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised; for that is a reproach to us.
И рекоста им Симеон и Левий, братия Динины (сынове Лии): не возможем сотворити глагола сего, дати сестру нашу человеку, иже имать крайнюю плоть необрезанну: есть бо укоризна нам:
15 Only on this condition will we consent to you. If you will be as we are, that every male of you be circumcised,
токмо в сем уподобимся вам и вселимся у вас, аще будете якоже мы и вы, егда обрежете весь мужеск пол:
16 then will we give our daughters to you; and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.
и дадим дщери нашя вам, и от дщерей ваших поймем себе жены и вселимся у вас, и будем яко един род:
17 But if you will not listen to us and be circumcised, then we will take our sister, and we will be gone.”
аще же не послушаете нас, еже обрезатися, поимше дщерь нашу отидем.
18 Their words pleased Hamor and Shechem, Hamor’s son.
И угодна быша словеса пред Еммором и пред Сихемом сыном Емморовым:
19 The young man didn’t wait to do this thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter, and he was honored above all the house of his father.
и не премедли юноша сотворити глагол сей: любяше бо дщерь Иаковлю. Сей же бяше славнейший всех, иже в дому отца его.
20 Hamor and Shechem, his son, came to the gate of their city, and talked with the men of their city, saying,
Прииде же Еммор и Сихем сын его пред врата града своего и глаголаста к мужем града своего, рекуще:
21 “These men are peaceful with us. Therefore let them live in the land and trade in it. For behold, the land is large enough for them. Let’s take their daughters to us for wives, and let’s give them our daughters.
человецы сии мирни суть, с нами да населятся на земли и да куплю деют на ней: земля же се пространна пред ними: дщери их да поймем себе в жены, и дщери нашя дадим им:
22 Only on this condition will the men consent to us to live with us, to become one people, if every male among us is circumcised, as they are circumcised.
в сем точию уподобятся нам человецы, еже жити с нами, яко быти людем единем: внегда обрезати нам весь мужеск пол, якоже и тии обрезани суть:
23 Won’t their livestock and their possessions and all their animals be ours? Only let’s give our consent to them, and they will dwell with us.”
и скоти их и четвероногая, и имения их не наша ли будут? Точию в сем уподобимся им, и вселятся с нами.
24 All who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor, and to Shechem his son; and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.
И послушаша Еммора и Сихема сына его вси исходящии из врат града своего и обрезаша плоть крайнюю свою, всяк мужеск пол.
25 On the third day, when they were sore, two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword, came upon the unsuspecting city, and killed all the males.
Бысть же в третий день, егда бяху в болезни, взяша два сына Иаковля Симеон и Левий, братия Динины, кийждо свой мечь, и внидоша во град безопасно и изсекоша весь мужеск пол:
26 They killed Hamor and Shechem, his son, with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house, and went away.
Еммора же и Сихема сына его усекнуша острием меча, и взяша Дину от дому Сихема и изыдоша.
27 Jacob’s sons came on the dead, and plundered the city, because they had defiled their sister.
Сынове же Иаковли внидоша к побиенным и разграбиша град, в немже оскверниша Дину сестру их:
28 They took their flocks, their herds, their donkeys, that which was in the city, that which was in the field,
и овцы их и говяда их и ослы их, и елика бяху во граде, и елика бяху на поли, взяша:
29 and all their wealth. They took captive all their little ones and their wives, and took as plunder everything that was in the house.
и вся чада их и вся сосуды их и жены их плениша: и разграбиша, елика бяху во граде, и елика бяху в домех.
30 Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have troubled me, to make me odious to the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites. I am few in number. They will gather themselves together against me and strike me, and I will be destroyed, I and my house.”
Рече же Иаков к Симеону и Левии: ненавистна мя сотвористе, яко злу мне быти всем живущым на земли, в Хананеах и Ферезеах, аз же мал есмь числом: и собравшеся на мя изсекут мя, и истреблен буду аз и дом мой.
31 They said, “Should he deal with our sister as with a prostitute?”
Они же рекоша: аки блудницу ли возимеют сестру нашу?
