< Galatians 3 >
1 Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed among you as crucified?
Nyenye Vagalatia vayimu! Ndi yani mweavahavili? Malovi ga kuvambiwa Yesu Kilisitu gajoviwi hotohoto palongolo yinu.
2 I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
Nigana kumanya chindu chimonga kuhuma kwa nyenye, wu, mwapokili Mpungu wa Chapanga ndava ya kuyidakila malagizu amala ndava ya kuyuwana kusadika Lilovi la Bwina?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
Uyimu winu uvi wuli? Nyenye mwatumbwili goha kwa utangatila wa Mpungu wa Chapanga, wuli hinu mwigana kumalakisa kwa makakala ginu mwavene?
4 Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?
Wu, mambu goha gegavakolili nyenye gawaka? Nakuhotoleka!
5 He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
Wu, Chapanga avapelili Mpungu waki na kukita chinamtiti pagati yinu ndava mwilanda malagizu, amala ndava mwiyuwana Lilovi la Bwina na kusadika?
6 Even so, Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”
Mlola luhumu lwa Ibulahimu ngati Mayandiku Gamsopi chegijova, mwene amsadiki Chapanga, ndi mwene awonikini mbwina palongolo ya Chapanga.
7 Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.
Hinu mumanya kuvya vala vevakumsadika Chapanga ndi chakaka vana va Ibulahimu.
8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”
Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova kuhuma kadeni kuvya Chapanga yati akuvavalangila vandu vangali Vayawudi kuvya vabwina palongolo yaki mu njila ya sadika. Ndava Chapanga amkokosili hoti Lilovi la Bwina Ibulahimu, “Vandu va milima yoha yati vimotisiwa ndava ya veve.”
9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
Hinu, vala vevisadika yati vimotisiwa pamonga na Ibulahimu mweisadika.
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
Ndava muni vandu voha vevihuvalila kuyidakila gegiganikiwa na malagizu, vavi mulikoto muni Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova, “Yoyoha mwangakamula goha gegayandikwi muchitabu cha malagizu ndi avili mulikoto.”
11 Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”
Ndi hotohoto kuvya kawaka mundu mweivalangiwa kulolekana mbwina palongolo kwa malagizu, ndava muni mweilolekana mbwina palongolo ya Chapanga yati itama kwa sadika.
12 The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”
Nambu malagizu yihumila lepi kusadika, nambu Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova, “Mweiyidakila gegiganikiwa mu Malagizu yati itama.”
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”
Kilisitu atigombwili tete kuhuma mulikoto la malagizu, mukujitolela likoto ndava yitu, muni Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova, “Mundu yeyoha mweavambiwi pamkongo ana likoto.”
14 that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Lijambu lenili lahengiki muni mota yeapewili Ibulahimu yivahikila vandu vangali Vayawudi mu njila ya Kilisitu Yesu, muni musadika timpokela Mpungu Msopi mweatilagazili Chapanga.
15 Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.
Valongo vangu, yati nikuvapela luhumu lwa wumi witu wa magono goha, vandu vavili vakakita lilaganu kwa kulapa, kawaka mundu kudenya amala kuyonjokesa chindu mu lilaganu lenilo.
16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.
Hinu, Ibulahimu alagaziwi na Chapanga, mwene pamonga na “Vachiveleku vaki mayandiku gijova lepi, na chiveleku chaki,” Yani ndi mmonga ndi Kilisitu.
17 Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
Chenichi ndi chenijova, Chapanga avikili lilaganu laki na Ibulahimu. Payapitili malagizu miyaka miya mcheche na selasini ndi malagizu peyaletiwi. Malagizu genago nakuhotola kulidenya amala kuhungula lilagizu la Chapanga.
18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.
19 Then why is there the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
Hinu malagizu gana lihengu loki?
20 Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
Nambu mtepulanisi iganikiwa lepi ngati lijambu lene likumvala mundu mmonga, na Chapanga ndi mmonga.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.
Wu, malagizu gibelana na lilaganu la Chapanga? Lepi hati padebe! Muni kuvya uhumili mu malagizu gegakuvapela vandu wumi, ndi ngatiwonikini vabwina palongolo ya Chapanga kwa kuyidakila malagizu.
22 But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
Nambu lepi, Mayandiku Gamsopi gamali kujova kuvya mulima woha uvi uvanda wa kumbudila Chapanga. Muni vevisadika vapewayi njombi yila yeavalagazili Chapanga, mukumsadika Yesu Kilisitu.
23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Nambu kwakona kubwela sadika yila, nambu takungiwi na mhilu ngati vafungwa mbaka payabweli sadika yigubukuliwayi.
24 So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Hinu malagizu gavi na makakala panani yitu mbaka pahaikili Kilisitu, muni tilolekana vabwina palongolo ya Chapanga.
25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Nambu ndava sadika yimali kubwela, tete nakuvya kavili pahi ya uhotola panani yitu.
26 For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
Mu njila ya sadika nyenye mwavoha ndi vana va Chapanga mukuwungana na Kilisitu Yesu.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Muni mwavoha nyenye mwemubatiziwi na kujiwunga na Kilisitu, mutama ngati Kilisitu cheigana mutama.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Kawaka kavili mbagulanu pagati ya Vayawudi amala Vandu vangali Vayawudi, vavanda amala vandu mwemlekekiwi, kawaka mgosi amala mdala, muni mwavoha ndi mwavamonga mukuwungana na Kilisitu Yesu.
29 If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.
Ngati nyenye ndi vandu va Kilisitu ndi chiveleku cha Ibulahimu ndi yati mwipewa lilaganu lila leajovili Chapanga.
