Ezekiel 15

1 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

۱ و کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

2 “Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest?

۲ «ای پسر انسان درخت مو در میان سایر درختان چیست و شاخه مو در میان درختان جنگل چه می‌باشد؟

3 Will wood be taken of it to make anything? Will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it?

۳ آیا چوب از آن برای کردن هیچ کاری گرفته می‌شود؟ یا میخی از آن برای آویختن هیچ ظرفی می‌گیرند؟

4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and the middle of it is burned. Is it profitable for any work?

۴ هان آن را برای هیزم در آتش می‌اندازند و آتش هر دو طرفش رامی سوزاند و میانش نیم‌سوخته می‌شود پس آیابرای کاری مفید است؟

5 Behold, when it was whole, it was suitable for no work. How much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it has been burned, will it yet be suitable for any work?”

۵ اینک چون تمام بودبرای هیچ کار مصرف نداشت. چند مرتبه زیاده وقتی که آتش آن را سوزانیده و نیم‌سوخته باشد، دیگر برای هیچ کاری مصرف نخواهد داشت.»

6 Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “As the vine wood among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

۶ بنابراین خداوند یهوه چنین می‌گوید: «مثل درخت مو که آن را از میان درختان جنگل برای هیزم و آتش تسلیم کرده‌ام، همچنان سکنه اورشلیم را تسلیم خواهم نمود.

7 I will set my face against them. They will go out from the fire, but the fire will still devour them. Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them.

۷ و نظر خود را برایشان خواهم دوخت. از یک آتش بیرون می‌آیندو آتشی دیگر ایشان را خواهد سوزانید. پس چون نظر خود را بر ایشان دوخته باشم، خواهیددانست که من یهوه هستم.»

8 I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully,” says the Lord Yahweh.

۸ و خداوند یهوه می‌گوید: «به‌سبب خیانتی که ورزیده‌اند زمین را ویران خواهم ساخت.»
