Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
அதோ ப³ந்தி³ரஹம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்நாம்நா யுஷ்மாந் விநயே யூயம்’ யேநாஹ்வாநேநாஹூதாஸ்தது³பயுக்தரூபேண
2 with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
ஸர்வ்வதா² நம்ரதாம்’ ம்ரு’து³தாம்’ திதிக்ஷாம்’ பரஸ்பரம்’ ப்ரம்நா ஸஹிஷ்ணுதாஞ்சாசரத|
3 being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
ப்ரணயப³ந்த⁴நேந சாத்மந ஏக்யம்’ ரக்ஷிதும்’ யதத்⁴வம்’|
4 There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling,
யூயம் ஏகஸ²ரீரா ஏகாத்மாநஸ்²ச தத்³வத்³ ஆஹ்வாநேந யூயம் ஏகப்ரத்யாஸா²ப்ராப்தயே ஸமாஹூதா: |
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
யுஷ்மாகம் ஏக: ப்ரபு⁴ரேகோ விஸ்²வாஸ ஏகம்’ மஜ்ஜநம்’, ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ தாத:
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in us all.
ஸர்வ்வோபரிஸ்த²: ஸர்வ்வவ்யாபீ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யவர்த்தீ சைக ஈஸ்²வர ஆஸ்தே|
7 But to each one of us, the grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
கிந்து க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய தா³நபரிமாணாநுஸாராத்³ அஸ்மாகம் ஏகைகஸ்மை விஸே²ஷோ வரோ(அ)தா³யி|
8 Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”
யதா² லிகி²தம் ஆஸ்தே, "ஊர்த்³த்⁴வம் ஆருஹ்ய ஜேத்ரு’ந் ஸ விஜித்ய ப³ந்தி³நோ(அ)கரோத்| தத: ஸ மநுஜேப்⁴யோ(அ)பி ஸ்வீயாந் வ்யஸ்²ராணயத்³ வராந்|| "
9 Now this, “He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
ஊர்த்³த்⁴வம் ஆருஹ்யேதிவாக்யஸ்யாயமர்த²: ஸ பூர்வ்வம்’ ப்ரு’தி²வீரூபம்’ ஸர்வ்வாத⁴: ஸ்தி²தம்’ ஸ்தா²நம் அவதீர்ணவாந்;
10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
யஸ்²சாவதீர்ணவாந் ஸ ஏவ ஸ்வர்கா³ணாம் உபர்ய்யுபர்ய்யாரூட⁴வாந் யத: ஸர்வ்வாணி தேந பூரயிதவ்யாநி|
11 He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
ஸ ஏவ ச காம்’ஸ்²சந ப்ரேரிதாந் அபராந் ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோ(அ)பராந் ஸுஸம்’வாத³ப்ரசாரகாந் அபராந் பாலகாந் உபதே³ஸ²காம்’ஸ்²ச நியுக்தவாந்|
12 for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,
யாவத்³ வயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே விஸ்²வாஸஸ்யேஸ்²வரபுத்ரவிஷயகஸ்ய தத்த்வஜ்ஞாநஸ்ய சைக்யம்’ ஸம்பூர்ணம்’ புருஷர்த²ஞ்சார்த²த: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸம்பூர்ணபரிமாணஸ்ய ஸமம்’ பரிமாணம்’ ந ப்ராப்நுமஸ்தாவத்
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
ஸ பரிசர்ய்யாகர்ம்மஸாத⁴நாய க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய நிஷ்டா²யை ச பவித்ரலோகாநாம்’ ஸித்³த⁴தாயாஸ்தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம் உபாயம்’ நிஸ்²சிதவாந்|
14 that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
அதஏவ மாநுஷாணாம்’ சாதுரீதோ ப்⁴ரமகதூ⁴ர்த்ததாயாஸ்²ச²லாச்ச ஜாதேந ஸர்வ்வேண ஸி²க்ஷாவாயுநா வயம்’ யத்³ பா³லகா இவ தோ³லாயமாநா ந ப்⁴ராம்யாம இத்யஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்யதிதவ்யம்’,
15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,
ப்ரேம்நா ஸத்யதாம் ஆசரத்³பி⁴: ஸர்வ்வவிஷயே க்²ரீஷ்டம் உத்³தி³ஸ்²ய வர்த்³தி⁴தவ்யஞ்ச, யத: ஸ மூர்த்³தா⁴,
16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.
தஸ்மாச்சைகைகஸ்யாங்க³ஸ்ய ஸ்வஸ்வபரிமாணாநுஸாரேண ஸாஹாய்யகரணாத்³ உபகாரகை: ஸர்வ்வை: ஸந்தி⁴பி⁴: க்ரு’த்ஸ்நஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய ஸம்’யோகே³ ஸம்மிலநே ச ஜாதே ப்ரேம்நா நிஷ்டா²ம்’ லப⁴மாநம்’ க்ரு’த்ஸ்நம்’ ஸ²ரீரம்’ வ்ரு’த்³தி⁴ம்’ ப்ராப்நோதி|
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
யுஷ்மாந் அஹம்’ ப்ரபு⁴நேத³ம்’ ப்³ரவீம்யாதி³ஸா²மி ச, அந்யே பி⁴ந்நஜாதீயா இவ யூயம்’ பூந ர்மாசரத|
18 being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.
யதஸ்தே ஸ்வமநோமாயாம் ஆசரந்த்யாந்தரிகாஜ்ஞாநாத் மாநஸிககாடி²ந்யாச்ச திமிராவ்ரு’தபு³த்³த⁴ய ஈஸ்²வரீயஜீவநஸ்ய ப³கீ³ர்பூ⁴தாஸ்²ச ப⁴வந்தி,
19 They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
ஸ்வாந் சைதந்யஸூ²ந்யாந் க்ரு’த்வா ச லோபே⁴ந ஸர்வ்வவிதா⁴ஸௌ²சாசரணாய லம்படதாயாம்’ ஸ்வாந் ஸமர்பிதவந்த: |
20 But you didn’t learn Christ that way,
கிந்து யூயம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ ந தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ பரிசிதவந்த: ,
21 if indeed you heard him and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
யதோ யூயம்’ தம்’ ஸ்²ருதவந்தோ யா ஸத்யா ஸி²க்ஷா யீஸு²தோ லப்⁴யா தத³நுஸாராத் ததீ³யோபதே³ஸ²ம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்தஸ்²சேதி மந்யே|
22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,
தஸ்மாத் பூர்வ்வகாலிகாசாரகாரீ ய: புராதநபுருஷோ மாயாபி⁴லாஷை ர்நஸ்²யதி தம்’ த்யக்த்வா யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்மாநஸிகபா⁴வோ நூதநீகர்த்தவ்ய: ,
23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
யோ நவபுருஷ ஈஸ்²வராநுரூபேண புண்யேந ஸத்யதாஸஹிதேந
24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
தா⁴ர்ம்மிகத்வேந ச ஸ்ரு’ஷ்ட: ஸ ஏவ பரிதா⁴தவ்யஸ்²ச|
25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
அதோ யூயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே மித்²யாகத²நம்’ பரித்யஜ்ய ஸமீபவாஸிபி⁴: ஸஹ ஸத்யாலாபம்’ குருத யதோ வயம்’ பரஸ்பரம் அங்க³ப்ரத்யங்கா³ ப⁴வாம: |
26 “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,
அபரம்’ க்ரோதே⁴ ஜாதே பாபம்’ மா குருத்⁴வம், அஸா²ந்தே யுஷ்மாகம்’ ரோஷேஸூர்ய்யோ(அ)ஸ்தம்’ ந க³ச்ச²து|
27 and don’t give place to the devil.
அபரம்’ ஸ²யதாநே ஸ்தா²நம்’ மா த³த்த|
28 Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.
சோர: புநஸ்²சைர்ய்யம்’ ந கரோது கிந்து தீ³நாய தா³நே ஸாமர்த்²யம்’ யஜ்ஜாயதே தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸ்வகராப்⁴யாம்’ ஸத்³வ்ரு’த்த்யா பரிஸ்²ரமம்’ கரோது|
29 Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
அபரம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ வத³நேப்⁴ய: கோ(அ)பி கதா³லாபோ ந நிர்க³ச்ச²து, கிந்து யேந ஸ்²ரோதுருபகாரோ ஜாயதே தாத்³ரு’ஸ²: ப்ரயோஜநீயநிஷ்டா²யை ப²லதா³யக ஆலாபோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப⁴வது|
30 Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
அபரஞ்ச யூயம்’ முக்திதி³நபர்ய்யந்தம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய யேந பவித்ரேணாத்மநா முத்³ரயாங்கிதா அப⁴வத தம்’ ஸோ²காந்விதம்’ மா குருத|
31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.
அபரம்’ கடுவாக்யம்’ ரோஷ: கோஷ: கலஹோ நிந்தா³ ஸர்வ்வவித⁴த்³வேஷஸ்²சைதாநி யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யாத்³ தூ³ரீப⁴வந்து|
32 And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
யூயம்’ பரஸ்பரம்’ ஹிதைஷிண: கோமலாந்த: கரணாஸ்²ச ப⁴வத| அபரம் ஈஸ்²வர: க்²ரீஷ்டேந யத்³வத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ தோ³ஷாந் க்ஷமிதவாந் தத்³வத்³ யூயமபி பரஸ்பரம்’ க்ஷமத்⁴வம்’|
