1 Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

2 the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.

3 Honor widows who are widows indeed.

Meithâingei anthei vaia omngei hah jâ ngei roh.

4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

Aniatachu meithâi han nâingei mini, tungei mini, a dônin chu ha ngei hah sakhuotienga an sintumngei hah an insûngmi ngei chunga sinin inchu bak rese ngei, ma anghan sinin an nulepangei le pilepungei khom donsûi thei an tih; maha Pathien râisân lam khom ani sikin.

5 Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

Meithâi athei mamanga om, a donsûi rang boitet ngei ha chu Pathien kôm an sabeina bângin, sûn le jân chubaitho le a sanna zongin an om tit ngâi.

6 But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

Aninâkchu meithâi amananâkin hoina tieng riempeta ânpêk ngâi chu la ring bang khom senla, athisai piel kêng ani zoi.

7 Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

Masikin tutên an minchâina an man loina rangin, ma rilnangei hih pêk ngei roh.

8 But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Tukhom a sûngsuokngei, aliekin an insûngmingei an donsûi nônchu taksônna hah an minlêma iemloipu nêkin asiet uol an ni.

9 Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

Meithâi kum sômruk ânlei loi le voikhat inneia pasal dôn sir khâiloi ngei chu meithâi ngei riming mintângna han minchuong no roh

10 being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

male sin sa thona lama minpâk lei lo sai, a nâingei asadima lei donsûi sai, a ina khuolmingei lei mintung ngâi, a khristien champuingei ta ranga ngâihoi sin lei tho sai, mi intak ngei lei san sai, sin sa tho ranga ân pêksai ani rang ani.

11 But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,

12 having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.

13 Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

14 I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

Masikin ei râlngeiin asaloi ti theina rang zorânchum an man loina rangin, meithâi nâipang uol ngei han innei rese ngei, nâingei dôn rese ngei, male an inngei hah donsûi rese ngei ku nuom uol ani.

15 For already some have turned away after Satan.

Asikchu meithâingei senkhat chu Soitan jûi rangin an pêt sai ke ani zoi.

16 If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

Aniatachu khristien nupangin a insûnga meithâingei a dônin chu, ama'n a donsûi ngêt rang ania, koiindang chunga puokrik bâng no rese, masikin meithâi anthei vaia omngei hah an donsûi theina rangin.

17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

Koiindang upangei sin sa thona tienga ruoipu chang ngei ha chu thalo bâknik man ranga ânhoia bê rang an nia, aliekin thurchi misîr le mi minchuna tienga ranak song ngei hah.

18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

Pathien lekhabu'n, “Serâtchal hah bu ni minchîl lâitak a mûr khit pe no roh,” male “Sinthopungei chu an thalo pêk rang ani,” ati sikin.

19 Don’t receive an accusation against an elder except at the word of two or three witnesses.

Koiindang upa chunga an nônna hah adik ti rietpuipu inik chung tieng an om nônchu rangâi no roh.

20 Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

Midang ngei khom an chi sa theina rangin, nunsie tho ngei chu mipui makunga ngo ngei roh.

21 I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

Pathien le Khrista Jisua le vântîrton inthieng ngei mitmua hi rilnangei hih tute chunga zenuol aninônchu lungkham uol minlang loiin, ni sinthona tina tute thop nâng uol loia, mulung lût takin no jôm rangin inngartakin nang ki min riet ani.

22 Lay hands hastily on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure.

Pumapa sintho ranga mi inpêkna han nu kutngei an chunga minngam rangin innot no roh. Midangngei sietnangei an sinna han kop nônla; ânthiengin om tit roh.

23 Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

Tui vai nêk ngâi no roh, na damthei ngâi loi sikin na sâkjôina san rangin uain alektiti nêk sa ngâi roh.

24 Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

Mi senkhat sietnangei chu ânlang-iema mu theiin aoma, male an motona roijêkna atung bak ngâia; hannirese midangngei sietnangei rêk chu nûka kêng mu theiin aom ngâi.

25 In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.

Ma angdên han sintho asa ngei ânlang-iema mu thei aoma, ânlang-iem loi ngei khom thup thei ni ngâi mak.
