< 1 Peter 2 >

1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,
Phattaba touba pamba wakhal pumnamak amadi namthak pumnamak, aphasasinnaba, kalakpa amadi mi mangba yaba wangang pumnamak thadok-u.
2 as newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow,
Pokpa kuidriba anganggumna asengba thawaigi sanggom adu khourangna pamjou, madu thakchabagi mapanna nakhoibu chaokhat-hanbiduna kanbiba phangnanabani,
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
houjikti nakhoina Mapu Ibungodi aphabani haiba adu mahao tangle.
4 Come to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.
Misingnadi kanadre haiduna hundoklaba adubu Tengban Mapunadi mamal leiba oina khan-gatlaba ahingba nung oiriba Mapu Ibungogi maphamda lak-u.
5 You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Nakhoisu ahingba nungsinggumna lak-u, aduga thawaigi oiba yum sagatpada nakhoibu sijinnahallu, mapham aduda nakhoina asengba purohit ama oina Jisu Christtagi mapanna Tengban Mapugi maphamda lousinba yaba thawaigi oiba iratpotsing katnanaba thougal tougani.
6 Because it is contained in Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen and precious. He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”
Maramdi Mapugi puyana asumna hai, “Eina khan-gatlab mamal yamlaba nung, chithekki nung adu eina Zion-da thamle; amasung mahakpu thajaba kana amata ikaiba khak nangloi.”
7 For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,”
Maram aduna thajaraba nakhoidadi mahak asi mamal yambani, adubu thajadabasinggidamaktadi, “Yumsabasingna kanadre haiduna hundoklaba nung adu pumnamaktagi khwaidagi maruoiba oirakle.”
8 and, “a stumbling stone and a rock of offense.” For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
Aduga atoppa mapham amada Mapugi puyada asumna hai, “Misingbu khudi thihan-gadaba nung adu asini, makhoibu tuhan-gadaba nungjao aduni.” Makhoina paojel adu haiba indabadagi khudi thibani; madusu makhoigidamak tamlakpa oire.
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Adubu nakhoibu amambadagi Ibungo mahak masamakki angakpa mangalda koubiba Tengban Mapugi angakpa thabaksingbu laothoknaba khan-gatpiraba, khandoklaba kanglup, Ningthougi oiba purohit, asengba phurupni.
10 In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Matam amadadi nakhoi Tengban Mapugi mising oiramde, adubu houjikti nakhoi mahakki mising oire; matam amadadi nakhoi Tengban Mapugi chanbiba phanglamde, adubu houjikti nakhoi Ibungo mahakki chanbiba phangle.
11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
Achanbasa, nakhoi mireibak machasing amasung lamlanbasinggumna eina nakhoida nonjari adudi nakhoigi thawaigi mathakta lan sokliba hakchanggi apambasing adudagi lapthokna leiyu.
12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation.
Thajadabasinggi mamangda nakhoigi phajaba lamchat chatlu, adu oirabadi makhoina nakhoibu phattaba tou-i haina maral sirabasu, Ibungona lengbirakpa Numit aduda makhoina nakhoigi aphaba thabaksing adu uduna Tengban Mapubu thagatkani.
13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme,
Mapu Ibungogi maramgidamak angam athou oiba misinggi makha pollu: khwaigi mapu oiriba ningthourenda oirabasu,
14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
nattraga aranba toubasingbu cheirak pinaba amasung achumba toubasingbu thagatnaba mahakna tharakpa leingak mapusing oirabasu makhoigi makha pollu.
15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
Maramdi nakhoina aphaba touduna apangba misinggi khangdana pangangda ngangganba adu tuminna leihanba haibasi Tengban Mapugi aningbani.
16 Live as free people, yet not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.
Ningtamba misinggumna leiyu; adumakpu nakhoigi naning tamba aduna phattaba kupsinbada sijinnaganu, adubu Tengban Mapugi manaisinggumna hing-u.
17 Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Mi pumnamakpu ikai khumnou, thajaba nachin-nanaosingbu nungsiyu, Tengban Mapubu kiyu, Ningthourenbu ikai khumnou.
18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
Manaisa, ikai khumnabaga loinana Tengban Mapubu kibagi maramna nakhoigi mapusinggi makha pollu, aphaba amasung pukning tappasinggi makha ponba khakta nattaduna thina touba makhoising adugisu makha pollu.
19 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
Maramdi Tengban Mapugi aningba khangbagi maramna khaangpham thoktaba awa cheina nakhoina khaanglabadi, adugidamak Tengban Mapuna nakhoibu yaipha thoujal pibigani.
20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
Maramdi nakhoina aranba toubagidamak nakhoida phu cheiba adu khaanglabadi, maduda kanapham kari leibage? Adubu nakhoina aphaba toubagidamak awaba khaanglabadi, madugidamak Tengban Mapuna nakhoibu yaipha thoujal pibigani.
21 For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
Masi phaoba Tengban Mapuna nakhoibu koubire, maramdi Christtana masamkpu nakhoigidamakta awaba khaangduna nakhoina mahakki khonggul linanaba nakhoigidamak pandam thambire,
22 who didn’t sin, “neither was deceit found in his mouth.”
Mahakti pap amata toukhide amasung mahakki chindagi oidaba amata takhide.
23 When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.
Mahakpu ikaiba piba matamda, mahakna ikaiba piduna paokhum hankhide; mahakna awaba khaangbada, mahakna makhoibu kihankhide, adubu chumna wayenba Mapu oiriba Tengban Mapugi maphamda mahak masabu sinajakhi.
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
Eikhoina papta siraga achumba chatnabagidamak hingnaba, Christta masamakna cross mathakta mahakki hakchangda eikhoigi papsingbu pubire. Mahakki cheiphamsing aduna nakhoibu naba phahanbire.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Maramdi nakhoi lammuknaraba yaogum oirammi, adubu houjikti nakhoi Yaosenba amadi nakhoigi thawaibu Yengsinbiba mapugi maphamda hallakle.
