< 1 Corinthians 9 >

1 Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Haven’t I seen Jesus Christ, our Lord? Aren’t you my work in the Lord?
KAIDIN nai maiodar? Kaidin wanporon amen nai? I jota udialer Iejuj atail Kaun? Kaidin ai wiawia pan Kaun o komail?
2 If to others I am not an apostle, yet at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
Ma i jota wanporon amen on me tei ko, a on komail; pwe komail kajale pan ai koa en wanporon pan Kaun o.
3 My defense to those who examine me is this:
Iduen i kin japenki, ma meamen kin kalelapok re i.
4 Have we no right to eat and to drink?
A jota muei ow kit er, en mana o nim?
5 Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
A jota muei on kit er, en paudeki li amen, me pan ian kit jailok jili, duen me wanporon tei kan, o ri en Kaun o, o Kepaj kin wiada?
6 Or have only Barnabas and I no right to not work?
De nai o Parnapaj eta me a jota muei on liki jan dodok en pa at?
7 What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and doesn’t eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and doesn’t drink from the flock’s milk?
Ij me kin ian mauin ap pwain pein i? Ij me wiada mat en wain eu, me jota kin kan kijan wa? Ij me kin kamana pwin man akan me jota kin kan pil en didi en man oko?
8 Do I speak these things according to the ways of men? Or doesn’t the law also say the same thing?
Mepukat i jota kin inda nin tiak en aramaj akan, pwe kaidin kapun o me pil majanier due?
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it for the oxen that God cares,
Pwe a intinidier nan kapun en Mojej: Koe der pira pena au en kau ol amen, me kin tiaka pajan korn. Iaduen, Kot kin apapwali kau ol akan?
10 or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope.
De kaidin pweki kit, me a kotin majaniekier mepukat? Pwe me kin japajap, en kaporoporeki a dodok; o me kin dolun en kaporoporeki, me a pan ian ale kijan wa.
11 If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?
Pwe ma kit wiai on komail japajap nenin, a kaidin me kajampwal kot, me komail pan apwali kit ni pali uduk.
12 If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we didn’t use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.
A ma a muei on me tei kan, ale jan omail dipijou kan, nan kit me jo mau on jan irail? Ari jo, kit jota kol on kit tiak wet, a je men mia ni at apwal akan, pwe jen de karompwa ronamau en Krijtuj.
13 Don’t you know that those who serve around sacred things eat from the things of the temple, and those who wait on the altar have their portion with the altar?
Komail jota aja, me irail, me jopijokki jaraui, pil manamana jan nan im en kaudok, o me irail, me kin papan pei jaraui, pil aleki pwaij ar jan pei jaraui?
14 Even so the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News.
Iduen Kaun o kotin majani, me irail, me padaki ronamau, pil pan manaki ronamau.
15 But I have used none of these things, and I don’t write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void.
A nai jota kin kol on ia eu ren mepukat, o i jota intin wei mepukat, pwe komail en kapwai on ia mepukat, pwe a mau on ia en mela, mon amen pan kawela mar ai.
16 For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about, for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me if I don’t preach the Good News.
Pwe ma i padaki ronamau, jota me i en juaiki, pwe i en udan wiada; pwe jued on ia, ma i jota padaki ronamau.
17 For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.
Pwe ma i peren kida dodok wet, i pan ale katin, a ma i kan wiada, nan kujoned mia, i en wiada.
18 What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.
Ari, ia katin pai ni ai padaki ronamau ap jota pwaipwai, pwe i ender akapwaipwaiki jan ronamau meakot.
19 For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.
Pwe nai me udan maiodar jan amen amen, ari jo, i wia kin ia ladun amen amen, pwe i en kamaurela me toto duen i kak on.
20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law;
I wia kin ia Juj amen on Juj akan, pwen kamaurela Juj akan; o on irail, me mi pan kapun, dueta pan kapun amen, pwen kamaur ir ala, me mi pan kapun; ari jo, nai jolar mi pan kapun.
21 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law.
On irail me jota mi pan kapun, i wia kin ia me jota mi pan kapun amen; ari jo, kaidin nai me likin kapun mon Kot, pwe I kin mi pan kapun en Krijtuj, pwen kamaurela me jota mi pan kapun.
22 To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.
On me luet akan, i wia kin ia me luet amen, pwen kamaurela me luet akan. Nai wiala jon karoj on amen amen, pwen kamaurela akai waja karoj.
23 Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it.
I me i kin wiawia pweki ronamau, pwe i en ian i pwai jaijki.
24 Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, so that you may win.
Komail jota aja, duen men weir en tan, irail karoj kin tan, a amen ta, me pan ale pai? Komail ari en tan idipok, pwe komail en ale.
25 Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
A amen amen me aktan idipok, kin ijejol pokon. Irail kin wia me, pwen ale mar kamon a kitail, pwen ale me jo kamon.
26 I therefore run like that, not aimlessly. I fight like that, not beating the air,
Arai ari aktan jopuiok; nai kin pepei, a kaidin dueta me woki nan wawa;
27 but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
Pwe i kin jok pon war ai, pwen katenedi, pwe i de padaki on akai, ap pein lokidokila.
