< 1 Corinthians 8 >
1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
Ary ny amin’ ny hena aterina amin’ ny sampy, dia fantatsika fa manana fahalalana isika rehetra. Ny fahalalana mampieboebo; fa ny fitiavana no mampandroso.
2 But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.
Fa raha misy manao azy hahalala, dia tsy mbola mahalala araka izay tokony ho fantany akory izy.
3 But anyone who loves God is known by him.
Fa raha misy tia an’ Andriamanitra, dia izy no fantany.
4 Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
Ary ny amin’ ny mihinana ny hena aterina amin’ ny sampy, dia fantatsika fa tsinontsinona akory ny sampy amin’ izao tontolo izao, ary tsy misy Andriamanitra afa-tsy Iray ihany.
5 For though there are things that are called “gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”—
Fa na dia misy aza atao hoe andriamanitra, na any an-danitra, na etỳ an-tany (toy ny misy andriamanitra maro sy tompo maro);
6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.
nefa amintsika kosa dia Andriamanitra iray ihany, dia ny Ray, Izay nihavian’ ny zavatra rehetra, ary ho Azy isika; ary iray ihany ny Tompo, dia Jesosy Kristy, Izay nahariana ny zavatra rehetra sady nahariana antsika koa.
7 However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of an idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
Kanefa tsy ary manana izany fahalalana izany avokoa ny olona rehetra; fa ny sasany, satria zatra amin’ ny sampy mandraka ankehitriny izao, dia homana ny hena ka mahatsiaro azy ho zavatra naterina tamin’ ny sampy; ka dia voaloto ny fieritreretany, satria malemy.
8 But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we don’t eat are we the worse, nor if we eat are we the better.
Fa ny hanina tsy hampaninona antsika amin’ Andriamanitra; fa na dia tsy homana aza isika, dia tsy matiantoka, ary na dia homana kosa aza isika, dia tsy mahazo tombony.
9 But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.
Nefa tandremo, fandrao izany fahafahanareo izany ho tonga fahatafintohinana ho an’ ny malemy.
10 For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
Fa raha misy mahita anao izay manam-pahalalana mipetraka mihinana ao amin’ ny tempolin’ ny sampy, tsy hampahasahy ny fieritreretan’ ny malemy hihinana izay hena aterina amin’ ny sampy koa va izany?
11 And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Christ died.
Fa verin’ ny fahalalanao ny malemy, dia ny rahalahy izay navotan’ i Kristy tamin’ ny fahafatesana?
12 Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.
Fa raha manota toy izany amin’ ny rahalahy ianareo ka manimba ny fieritreretan’ ny malemy, dia manota amin’ i Kristy ianareo.
13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble. (aiōn )
Koa raha ny hanina no mahatafintohina ny rahalahiko, dia tsy hihinan-kena akory aho mandrakizay, fandrao mahatafintohina ny rahalahiko. (aiōn )
