1 Corinthians 12
1 Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.
E quanto aos [dons] espirituais, irmãos, não quero que sejais ignorantes.
2 You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.
Vós sabeis que éreis gentios, vós vos desviáveis para os ídolos mudos, conforme éreis guiados.
3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” but by the Holy Spirit.
Por isso eu vos deixo claro que ninguém que fala pelo Espírito de Deus chama a Jesus de maldito; e ninguém pode dizer [que] Jesus [é] o Senhor, a não ser pelo Espírito Santo.
4 Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
E há variedade de dons, mas o Espírito é o mesmo.
5 There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.
E há variedade de trabalhos [na Igreja], mas o Senhor é o mesmo.
6 There are various kinds of workings, but the same God who works all things in all.
E há variedade de operações, mas é o mesmo Deus que opera tudo em todos.
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.
Mas a cada um é dada a manifestação do Espírito, para o que for conveniente.
8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
Porque a um é dada, pelo Espírito, palavra de sabedoria; e a outro palavra de conhecimento, pelo mesmo Espírito.
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
e a outro fé pelo mesmo Espírito; e a outro dons de curas, pelo mesmo Espírito.
10 and to another workings of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of languages, and to another the interpretation of languages.
E a outro operações de milagres; e a outro profecia; e a outro o [dom de] discernir aos espíritos; e a outro variedade de línguas; e a outro interpretação de línguas.
11 But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.
Mas todas estas coisas [quem] opera [é] um e o mesmo Espírito, repartindo particularmente a cada um como quer.
12 For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
Porque assim como o corpo é um, e tem muitos membros, e todos os membros deste único corpo, sendo muitos, compõem um só corpo; assim também é Cristo.
13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit.
Porque também todos nós somos batizados em um [só] Espírito, para um [só] corpo, quer judeus, quer gregos, quer servos, quer livres; e para todos nós foi dado de beber um [só] Espírito.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
Porque também o corpo não é um [só] membro, mas muitos.
15 If the foot would say, “Because I’m not the hand, I’m not part of the body,” it is not therefore not part of the body.
Se o pé disser: Por eu não ser mão, não sou do corpo; Por isso, ele não é do corpo?
16 If the ear would say, “Because I’m not the eye, I’m not part of the body,” it’s not therefore not part of the body.
E se a orelha disser: Por eu não ser olho, não sou do corpo; Por isso, ela não é do corpo?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?
Se todo o corpo fosse olho, onde [estaria] o ouvido? Se [fosse] todo ouvido, onde [estaria] o olfato?
18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.
Mas agora Deus pôs os membros no corpo, a cada qual deles como ele quis.
19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
Porque se todos fossem um [só] membro, onde [estaria] o corpo?
20 But now they are many members, but one body.
Mas há agora muitos membros, porém um [só] corpo.
21 The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need for you.”
E o olho não pode dizer à mão: Não tenho necessidade de ti; Nem a cabeça aos pés: Não tenho necessidade de vós;
22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
Antes até os membros do corpo que [nos] parecem ser os mais fracos, são muito mais necessários.
23 Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant modesty,
E os que pensamos serem os menos honrados do corpo, a esses muito mais honramos; e os nossos mais desprezíveis têm muito mais respeito.
24 while our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part,
Porém os nosso mais respeitáveis não têm [tanta] necessidade; mas [assim] Deus juntou o corpo, dando muito mais honra ao que tinha falta [dela].
25 that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
Para que não haja divisão no corpo, mas que os membros tenham igual cuidado uns com os outros.
26 When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
E seja que, [caso] um membro sofra, [também] os membros sofrem juntos; e [caso] um membro seja honrado, todos os membros se alegram juntos.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
E vós sois o corpo de Cristo, e membros em particular.
28 God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.
E Deus pôs a uns na Igreja: em primeiro lugar apóstolos, em segundo profetas, em terceiro mestres; depois milagres, dons de curas, socorros, lideranças, variedades de línguas.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers?
Por acaso são todos apóstolos? São todos profetas? São todos mestres? São todos com dons de milagres?
30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with various languages? Do all interpret?
Tem todos dons de curas? Falam todos [várias] línguas? Interpretam todos?
31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
Porém desejai com zelo pelos melhores dons; e eu vos mostro um caminho ainda mais excelente.
