1 Chronicles 15
1 David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for God’s ark, and pitched a tent for it.
੧ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਲ ਬਣਾਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਤੰਬੂ ਖੜਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
2 Then David said, “No one ought to carry God’s ark but the Levites. For Yahweh has chosen them to carry God’s ark, and to minister to him forever.”
੨ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੇ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਜੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।”
3 David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up Yahweh’s ark to its place, which he had prepared for it.
੩ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਉਣ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
4 David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
੪ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ,
5 of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;
੫ਕਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਊਰੀਏਲ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ, ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਵੀਹ
6 of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;
੬ਮਰਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅਸਾਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ, ਦੋ ਸੌ ਵੀਹ
7 of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;
੭ਗੇਰਸ਼ੋਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਯੋਏਲ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ, ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਤੀਹ
8 of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;
੮ਅਲੀਸਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ, ਦੋ ਸੌ
9 of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;
੯ਹਬਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅਲੀਏਲ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ, ਅੱਸੀ
10 of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.
੧੦ਉੱਜ਼ੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅੰਮੀਨਾਦਾਬ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ, ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਬਾਰਾਂ
11 David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਤੇ ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਊਰੀਏਲ, ਅਸਾਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਯੋਏਲ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਲੀਏਲ ਤੇ ਅੰਮੀਨਾਦਾਬ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ
12 and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰੋ, ਨਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਆਓ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
13 For because you didn’t carry it at first, Yahweh our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”
੧੩ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਰੀਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
੧੪ਤਦ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
15 The children of the Levites bore God’s ark on their shoulders with its poles, as Moses commanded according to Yahweh’s word.
੧੫ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਬਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
16 David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up their voices with joy.
੧੬ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗਵੱਈਯਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਣ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਵਜੰਤਰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤੰਬੂਰੇ, ਸਤਾਰਾਂ, ਮਜੀਰੇ ਛੇੜਨ, ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਸੁਰਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਦਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਉਣ।
17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
੧੭ਸੋ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ, ਨਾਲੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਰਕਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਰਾਰੀ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੂਸ਼ਾਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ
18 and with them their brothers of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ, ਬੇਨ, ਯਅਜ਼ੀਏਲ, ਸ਼ਮੀਰਾਮੋਥ, ਯਹੀਏਲ, ਉੱਨੀ, ਅਲੀਆਬ, ਬਨਾਯਾਹ, ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ, ਮੱਤਿਥਯਾਹ, ਅਲੀਫਲੇਹੂ, ਮਿਕਨੇਯਾਹ, ਓਬੇਦ-ਅਦੋਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਈਏਲ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ
19 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਹੇਮਾਨ, ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਤੇ ਏਥਾਨ ਗਵੱਯੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੇ ਛੈਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਗਏ
20 and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ੀਏਲ, ਸ਼ਮੀਰਾਮੋਥ, ਯਹੀਏਲ, ਉੱਨੀ, ਅਲੀਆਬ, ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ, ਬਨਾਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਾਮੋਥ ਸੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਿਤਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ
21 and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਮੱਤਿਥਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਲੀਫਲੇਹੂ ਤੇ ਮਿਕਨੇਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਓਬੇਦ-ਅਦੋਮ ਤੇ ਯਈਏਲ ਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਜ਼ਯਾਹ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਮੀਨੀਥ ਸੂਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ
22 Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the singing. He taught the singers, because he was skillful.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕਾਨਨਯਾਹ ਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ। ਉਹ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਗੁਣੀ ਸੀ
23 Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
੨੩ਅਤੇ ਬਰਕਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ
24 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God’s ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
੨੪ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਯਾਹ, ਯੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਤ ਨਥਨਏਲ, ਅਮਾਸਈ, ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ, ਬਨਾਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਅਜ਼ਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਓਬੇਦ-ਅਦੋਮ ਤੇ ਯਿਹਯਾਹ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ।
25 So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant up out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
੨੫ਸੋ ਦਾਊਦ ਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਓਬੇਦ-ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
26 When God helped the Levites who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
੨੬ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੱਤ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਮੇਂਢੇ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਲਈ ਚੜਾਏ।
27 David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the choir master with the singers; and David had an ephod of linen on him.
੨੭ਦਾਊਦ, ਸਾਰੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਗਵੱਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਗਵੱਈਯਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਨਨਯਾਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ, ਸਭ ਨੇ ਕਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਚੋਲੇ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਏਫ਼ੋਦ ਪਹਿਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
28 Thus all Israel brought the ark of Yahweh’s covenant up with shouting, with sound of the cornet, with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.
੨੮ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ, ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਗੇ ਫੂਕਦੇ-ਫੂਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਜੀਰਿਆਂ, ਸਿਤਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆਏ।
29 As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
੨੯ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਮੀਕਲ ਨੇ ਬਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਝਾਤੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੱਚਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੱਦਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਿਆ।
