< Romans 8 >

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
To pongah vaihi Kri Jesu ah kaom, taksa baktiah kacaeh ai, Muithla baktiah kacaeh kaminawk hanah, lokcaekhaih om ai boeh.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
Kri Jesu ah Muithla hinghaih lok mah zae duekhaih lok thung hoiah ang loisak boeh.
3 For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
Taksa rang hoiah thazok moe, kaalok mah toksah thai ai naah, zae loihsak hanah, Sithaw mah zae taksa tawn kami baktiah a Capa to patoeh, Anih mah zae taksa to danpaek:
4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
taksa koehhaih baktiah kacaeh ai, Muithla koehhaih baktiah caeh kami loe, kaalok mah thuih ih toenghaih to aicae khaeah koepsak tih.
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Taksa koehhaih baktiah khosah kaminawk loe taksa koehhaih hmuennawk to poek o; toe Muithla koehhaih baktiah khosah kaminawk loe Muithla koehhaih hmuennawk to poek o.
6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
Taksa poekhaih palung loe duekhaih ih ni; toe Muithla poekhaih palung loe hinghaih hoi monghaih ah oh.
7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.
Tipongah tih nahaeloe taksa poekhaih palung loe Sithaw hoi misa ah oh: Sithaw lok ah angpaek ai khue na ai ah, angpaek doeh angpaek thai ai.
8 Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
To pongah, taksa ah kaom kaminawk loe Sithaw ih palung tongh o thai ai.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
Toe nangcae thungah Kri to om nahaeloe, zae pongah nangcae ih takpum dueh cadoeh, toenghaih pongah Muithla loe hinghaih ah oh.
11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Toe duekhaih hoi Jesu Pathawkkung ih Muithla to nangcae thungah om nahaeloe, nangcae thungah kaom Anih ih Muithla rang hoiah duekhaih thung hoi Kri Pathawkkung mah, kadueh thaih nangcae ih takpum to pathawk toeng tih.
12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
To pongah nawkamyanawk, aicae loe taksa ah om ai, taksa koehhaih baktiah a hing o han ai ah, laiba a tawnh o.
13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Taksa koehhaih baktiah na hing o nahaeloe, na dueh o tih: toe Muithla rang hoiah taksa mah sak ih zaehaihnawk to na hum o nahaeloe, na hing o tih.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
Sithaw Muithla mah zaeh ih kaminawk boih loe, Sithaw caa ah oh o.
15 For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Nangcae loe zit kaom tamna ah oh lethaih palung to na hak o ai; Abba, Pa, tiah kawk thaihaih a caa ah angcoenghaih Muihtla ni na hak o.
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;
Aicae loe Sithaw ih caa ah a oh o, tito aicae ih muithla hoi nawnto Sithaw angmah ih Muithla mah hnukung ah oh.
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Anih ih caa ah a oh o nahaeloe, qawktoepkung, Sithaw ih qawktoep kami ah a om o ueloe, Kri hoi nawnto qawktoepkung ah a om o tih; anih hoi nawnto patang a khang o nahaeloe, aicae doeh a lensawkhaih ah om o toeng tih.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.
Vaihi thuem karai tonghaihnawk loe aicae khaeah amtueng han koi lensawkhaih hoi patah naah tidoeh na ai ni, tiah ka poek.
19 For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
Sithaw caanawk amtuenghaih to a sak ih hmuenanwk boih mah paroeai oephaih hoiah zing o.
20 For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
A sak ih hmuen to doeh amrohaih misong thung hoiah loihsak moe, kalensawk Sithaw caanawk loihhaih thungah akun toeng han oh pongah,
21 that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
a sak ih hmuen loe tidoeh avang ai ah oh sut, toe angmakoeh ah to tiah om ai, oephaih rang hoiah ni Anih mah to tiah ohsak.
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.
A sak ih hmuennawk boih loe vaihi khoek to nawkta oh tom nathuem ih zok kana baktiah pacip pa-aahaih hoiah a hang o, tito a panoek o.
23 Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.
Nihcae khue ai, Muithla thingthai tangsuek ah kaom aicae doeh, a caa ah ohhaih hoi aicae taksa loih han akranghaih to a oep o pongah, a zing o naah aimacae ih palung thung hoiah a hangh o toeng.
24 For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?
Aicae loe to oephaih hoiah ni pahlong ah oh: toe hnukhaih loe oephaih ah om ai: kami maeto mah a hnuk tangcae hmuen to oep khing vop tih maw?
25 But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.
Toe a hnu o ai ih hmuen to a oep o nahaeloe, to hmuen to palungsawkhaih hoiah zing han oh.
26 In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.
To baktih toengah aicae thazok naah Muithla mah ang bomh: aicae mah lawk a thuih o han oh, lawkthuih han koi to a panoek o ai: toe lok hoi thui laek ai karoek to Muithla mah roe mah ahamhaih hoiah aicae taham ah lawk ang thuih pae.
27 He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.
Palungthin Pakrongkung mah loe Muithla poekhaih palung to panoek, tipongah tih nahaeloe Sithaw koehhaih baktih toengah Anih mah kaciim kaminawk hanah lawkthuih pae.
28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Anih mah Sithaw palung kaminawk hoi a timhaih baktiah kawk ih kaminawk hanah khosak hoihaih hmuennawk a sak pae boih, tito a panoek o.
29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Anih loe pop parai nawkamyanawk thungah calu koekah oh moe, a Capa hoi kanghmong ah ohsak hanah, Angmah panoek coek ih kami to a thuih coek boeh.
30 Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.
To tiah Angmah panoek coek ih kaminawk to ni Anih mah doeh kawk: a kawk ih kaminawk to a toengsak: a toengsak ih kaminawk to a pakoeh.
31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
To tiah nahaeloe hae hmuennawk hae kawbangmaw a thuih o han? Aicae bangah Sithaw om nahaeloe, mi mah maw aicae hae tuh thai tih?
32 He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
A Capa mataeng doeh paquem ai ah, aicae boih han Paekkung loe, hmuennawk boih aicae han azom ah paek ai ah om tih maw?
33 Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.
Toenghaih omsakkung loe Sithaw ni, to pongah Sithaw mah qoih ih kaminawk to mi mah maw zae net thai tih?
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Lokcaek kami loe mi aa? Kri loe duek, toe duekhaih thung hoi angthawk let boeh, Anih loe Sithaw bantang bangah anghnut moe, aicae taham ah lawkthuih.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Kri amlunghaih hoiah mi mah maw aicae tapraek thai tih? Amtanghaih, to tih ai boeh loe patangkhanghaih, to tih ai boeh loe pacaekthlaekhaih, to tih ai boeh loe takaang thohhaih, to tih ai boeh loe bangkrai ah ohhaih, to tih ai boeh loe zit kathok raihaih hoi sumsennawk mah tapraek thai tih maw?
36 Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Nangcae pongah kaicae loe athun qui duekhaih ka tongh o; kaicae loe boh han suek ih tuu baktiah a poek o, tiah tarik ih oh.
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
To tiah na ai ni, hae hmuennawk boih Palungkung, Anih rang hoiah aicae loe pazawk kaminawk pong kapop ah a pazawk o.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Kai loe duekhaih mah doeh, hinghaih mah doeh, van kaminawk mah doeh, van ukkungnawk mah doeh, thacakhaih mah doeh, vaihiah kaom hmuen mah doeh, hmabang kaom han koi hmuennawk mah doeh,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
kasang mah doeh, kahnaem mah doeh, kawbaktih sak ih hmuen mah doeh, aicae Angraeng Kri Jesu ah kaom, Sithaw amlunghaih thung hoiah tapraek thai mak ai, tito ka panoek.
