< Romans 4 >
1 What then will we say that Abraham, our forefather, has found according to the flesh?
Igala tujile bhuli ga ainabhetu a Bhulaimu?
2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God.
Pabha monaga a Bhulaimu bhashinkupegwa aki kwa ligongo lya itendi yabho, bhai, bhakwete shindu sha kwiiniya, ikabheje nngabha kwa a Nnungu.
3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
Pabha Majandiko ga Ukonjelo gakuti “A Bhulaimu bhashinkwaakulupalila a Nnungu, kwa nneyo a Nnungu gubhaapele aki.”
4 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.
Ikabheje ntumishi anapegwa nshaala, nshaala gula ukabha nema, ikabhe mbuti ligambo kwa liengo lyakamwile.
5 But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.
Ikabheje mundu akakwiikulupalila itendi yakwe nnyene, ikabhe anakwaakulupalila a Nnungu, bhakwaaleshelelanga bhalebhilenje, bhai a Nnungu bhanajali ngulupai jika jwene mundujo, nikumpa aki.
6 Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:
Malinga a Daudi shibhataya, mbaya jwene mundu apegwa aki kwa a Nnungu, gwangali kutolelela itendi yakwe.
7 “Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
“Mbaya bhaleshelelwenje yambi yabhonji Na bhaunishilwenje yambi yabhonji.
8 Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”
Mbaya jwene mundujo, Bhakulungwa bhakakwiitolelela yambi yakwe.”
9 Is this blessing then pronounced only on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.
Bhai, bhuli yene mbayayo, ku bhajalukenjepe eu nkali bhangajalukanga? Pabha tukuti, a Bhulaimu bhashinkupegwa aki kwa ligongo lya ngulupai yabho.
10 How then was it counted? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
Bhuli, a Bhulaimu pubhapegwilwe aki bhali bhajalwishe eu bhakanabhe jaluka? Nngabha bhali bhajalwishe, ikabhe bhakanabhe jaluka.
11 He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.
A Bhulaimu pubhajalwishe kungai, na kwene jalukako, pukwaliji shilangulo na lulembo lwa kundwa kwabho na a Nnungu kuti, bhakwete aki kwa ligongo lya ngulupai jabho, jibhakwete bhakanabhe jaluka. Kwa nneyo, a Bhulaimu bhashibha ainamundu bha bhandu bhowe bhakwaakulupalilanga a Nnungu, nkali bhangajalukanga, gubhapegwilwenje aki.
12 He is the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had in uncircumcision.
Nneyo peyo bhenebho ni ainamundu bha bhandunji bhajalukenje, ikabheje nngabha kwa jaluka, ila kwa ligongo lya kagula ngulupai ja ainabhetu a Bhulaimu, jibhaakwete bhakanabhe jaluka.
13 For the promise to Abraham and to his offspring that he would be heir of the world wasn’t through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Pabha a Nnungu bhashinkwaalajila a Bhulaimu na lubheleko lwabho kuti, shibhapegwanje shilambolyo. Bhashinkutenda nneyo nngabha kwa shalia ja a Musha, ikabhe kwa ligongo lya kulupalila kwabho, gubhapegwilwe aki.
14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect.
Monaga bhapinga pegwanga ibhalugwile a Nnungu, ni bhaakamulilanga shalia ja a Musha bhala, bhai, ngulupai yetu yangali shindu na malagano ga a Nnungu nngabha shindu.
15 For the law produces wrath; for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.
Pabha shalia ja a Musha jinapeleshela nnjimwa ja a Nnungu, ikabheje jikapagwe shalia, bhai kwakwa kulebha.
16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, to the end that the promise may be sure to all the offspring, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.
Kwa nneyo, malagano ga a Nnungu pugapatikana kwa ngulupai, shigaishe kwa nema ja a Nnungu, nkupinga gabhe ku bhandunji bhowe, nngabha ku bhaakulupalilanga shalia ja a Mushape, ikabhe ku bhakwetenje ngulupai malinga a Bhulaimu. Bhenebho ni atati bhetu, uwe tubhowe.
17 As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations.” This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.
Malinga shigalugula Majandiko ga Ukonjelo kuti, “Njikummika mme atati bha ilambo yaigwinji.” Gene malaganogo ni ga kweli, kwa a Nnungu bhakulupalilwe na a Bhulaimu, a Nnungu bhakwaayuyanga bhawilenje, na kwa lilobhe lyabho, indu ikapaliji inapagwa.
18 Against hope, Abraham in hope believed, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, “So will your offspring be.”
A Bhulaimu bhatendaga lolela indu yangakulupalika, kwa nneyo nibha atati bha ilambo yaigwinji, malinga shigalugula Majandiko ga Ukonjelo kuti, “Lubheleko lwenu shilushulushe mbuti ndondwa.”
19 Without being weakened in faith, he didn’t consider his own body, already having been worn out, (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
Pubhaliji bhakongopa bha yaka makumi kumi, ikabheje ngulupai jabho jangapuganyika, bhalinkumumanya kuti shiilu shabho shikongopele numbe shiiwilile na akongobhabho a Shala, lipitiu lyaho liiwilile.
20 Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn’t waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God,
Ikabheje a Bhulaimu bhakakweteje lipamba na malagano ga a Nnungu gala, ikabhe bhashinkukola mashili kwa ngulupai yabho, nikwaakuya a Nnungu.
21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able to perform.
Gubhamumanyi kuti a Nnungu bhanakombola tenda gene gubhalajiyego.
22 Therefore it also was “credited to him for righteousness.”
Kwa nneyo a Nnungu gubhaapele aki.
23 Now it was not written that it was accounted to him for his sake alone,
Malobhe gakuti, “Bhashipegwa aki” nngabha kwa ligongo lyabhope,
24 but for our sake also, to whom it will be accounted, who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
ikabhe nkali kwetu uwe, tukwaakulupalila a Nnungu, bhaayushiye a Yeshu Bhakulungwa bhetu, bhakaweje.
25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.
Bhabhulegwe kwa ligongo lya yambi yetu, gubhayushile nkupinga tupate aki.
