< Proverbs 22 >
1 A good name is more desirable than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold.
Magac wanaagsan baa laga doortaa maal badan, Oo nimcana waa ka wanaagsan tahay lacag iyo dahab.
2 The rich and the poor have this in common: The LORD is the maker of them all.
Taajirka iyo miskiinku way wada kulmaan, Oo Rabbigu waa kii kulligood sameeyey.
3 A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
Ninkii miyir lahu sharkuu arkaa, wuuna dhuuntaa, Laakiinse garaadlaawayaashu way iska sii maraan, waana la taqsiiraa.
4 The result of humility and the fear of the LORD is wealth, honor, and life.
Is-hoosaysiinta iyo Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisa abaalgudkoodu Waxaa weeyaan hodantinimo iyo sharaf iyo nolol.
5 Thorns and snares are in the path of the wicked; whoever guards his soul stays far from them.
Qodxan iyo dabinnaba waxay yaalliin jidka ninka qalloocan, Laakiinse kii naftiisa dhawraa waa ka fogaan doonaa iyaga.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Ilmo u rabbee siduu ku socon lahaa, Oo isna xataa markuu gaboobo kama leexan doono.
7 The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.
Taajirku masaakiintuu u taliyaa Oo kii wax amaahdaana midiidin buu u yahay kii wax amaahiya.
8 He who sows wickedness reaps trouble, and the rod of his fury will be destroyed.
Kii xumaan beeraa wuxuu goosan doonaa belaayo, Oo usha cadhadiisuna way dhammaan doontaa.
9 He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.
Kii il deeqsiya lahu wuu barakoobi doonaa, Waayo, isagu wuxuu cuntadiisa wax ka siiyaa masaakiinta.
10 Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop.
Kan wax quudhsada eri, oo muranku wuu bixi doonaa, Dirirta iyo cayduna way dhammaan doonaan.
11 He who loves purity of heart and speaks gracefully is the king’s friend.
Kii daahirsanaanta qalbiga jecel, Oo bushimihiisu nimco leeyihiin, xataa boqorka ayaa saaxiibkiis ahaan doona.
12 The LORD’s eyes watch over knowledge, but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.
Indhaha Rabbigu waxay dhawraan ka aqoonta leh, Laakiinse isagu wuxuu afgembiyaa erayada khaayinka.
13 The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the streets!”
Kii caajis ahu wuxuu yidhaahdaa, Libaax baa dibadda jooga, Oo jidka dhexdiisa ayaa laygu dili doonaa.
14 The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit. He who is under the LORD’s wrath will fall into it.
Naago qalaad afkoodu waa god dheer, Oo waxaa ku dhici doona kii xagga Rabbiga laga nacay.
15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of discipline drives it far from him.
Nacasnimadu waxay ku xidhan tahay qalbiga ilmaha. Laakiinse usha edbintu way ka fogayn doontaa.
16 Whoever oppresses the poor for his own increase and whoever gives to the rich, both come to poverty.
Kii miskiinka u dulma inuu maal korodhsado, Iyo kii taajirka wax siiyaaba hubaal way baahnaan doonaan.
17 Turn your ear, and listen to the words of the wise. Apply your heart to my teaching.
Dhegta u dhig, oo erayada kuwa caqliga leh maqal, Oo qalbigana aqoontayda u jeedi.
18 For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you, if all of them are ready on your lips.
Waayo, waa wax wanaagsan haddii aad uurka ku haysatid, Oo hadday dhammaantood bushimahaaga diyaar ku ahaadaan.
19 I teach you today, even you, so that your trust may be in the LORD.
Bal eeg, adigaan maanta iyaga ku ogeysiiyey, Inaad Rabbiga aaminsan tahay.
20 Haven’t I written to you thirty excellent things of counsel and knowledge,
Miyaanan waxyaalo wanaagsan kuugu qorin Talooyinka iyo aqoonta,
21 To teach you truth, reliable words, to give sound answers to the ones who sent you?
Si aan kuu ogeysiiyo hubaasha erayada runta, Inaad erayada runta uga jawaabtid kuwii ku soo diray?
22 Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court;
Miskiinka ha dhicin, waayo, isagu waa miskiin, Oo kan dhibaataysanna meesha iridda ha ku dulmin,
23 for the LORD will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them.
Waayo, Rabbiga ayaa dacwadooda u qaadi doona, Oo kuwa iyaga dhaca naftoodana wuu dhici doonaa.
24 Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man. Don’t associate with one who harbors anger,
Ha la saaxiibin nin xanaaq badan, Oo nin cadho kululna waa inaanad la socon,
25 lest you learn his ways and ensnare your soul.
Waaba intaas oo aad jidkiisa baratid, Oo aad naftaadana dabin ku riddid.
26 Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts.
Ha noqonin sida kuwa gacanta dhaar ugu dhiiba, Ama sida kuwa deyman u dammiinta.
27 If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?
Haddaanad haysan wax aad bixiso, Bal muxuu sariirtaada hoostaada uga la bixi?
28 Don’t move the ancient boundary stone which your fathers have set up.
Soohdinta hore oo ay awowayaashu dhigeen Innaba ha durkin.
29 Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men.
Miyaad aragtaa nin shuqulkiisa ku dadaala? Isagu wuxuu istaagi doonaa boqorro hortood. Oo kuwa hoose hortoodana ma istaagi doono.
