< Mark 9 >
1 He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see God’s Kingdom come with power.”
Innis, “Ani dhuguman isinitti hima; warra as dhadhaabachaa jiran keessaa namoonni tokko tokko hamma mootummaan Waaqaa humnaan dhufee arganitti duʼa hin dhandhaman” isaaniin jedhe.
2 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
Yesuus guyyaa jaʼa booddee Phexrosin, Yaaqoobii fi Yohannisin fudhatee tulluu dheeraa tokkotti iddoo isaan hundi kophaa turuu dandaʼanitti ol isaan baase. Innis achitti fuula isaanii duratti geeddarame.
3 His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
Uffanni isaas uffata namni addunyaa kanaa kam iyyuu miicee addeessuu dandaʼu caalaa akka malee addaate.
4 Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
Eeliyaasii fi Museenis isaanitti mulʼatan; isaanis Yesuus wajjin haasaʼaa turan.
5 Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
Phexrosis Yesuusiin, “Yaa Barsiisaa, as jiraachuun nuuf gaarii dha; daasii sadii, tokko siif, tokko Museef, tokko immoo Eeliyaasiif ni ijaarra” jedhe.
6 For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.
Inni waan dubbatu hin beeku ture; isaan akka malee sodaatanii turaniitii.
7 A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
Duumessis dhufee isaan haguuge; sagaleen, “Kun Ilma koo isa ani jaalladhuu dha. Isinis isa dhagaʼaa!” jedhu tokko duumessicha keessaa dhufe.
8 Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.
Isaanis yommuu akkuma tasaa naannoo isaanii ilaalanitti Yesuusin malee nama tokko illee of biratti hin argine.
9 As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
Utuu tulluu sana irraa buʼuutti jiranuus Yesuus akka isaan hamma Ilmi Namaa warra duʼan keessaa kaʼutti waan argan sana nama tokkotti illee hin himne isaan ajaje.
10 They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.
Isaanis “warra duʼan keessaa kaʼuun” maal akka taʼe wal gaggaafachaa dubbicha garaatti qabatan.
11 They asked him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
Isaanis, “Barsiistonni seeraa maaliif Eeliyaas akka duraan dursee dhufuu qabu dubbatu?” jedhanii isa gaafatan.
12 He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
Yesuus akkana jedhee deebise; “Dhugumaan Eeliyaas duraan dursee ni dhufa; waan hundas iddootti deebisa. Yoos maaliif Ilmi Namaa akka malee dhiphachuu fi tuffatamuu qaba jedhamee barreeffame ree?
13 But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”
Ani garuu isinittin hima; Eeliyaas dhufeera; isaanis akkuma waaʼee isaa barreeffame sanatti waanuma fedhan hunda isatti hojjetan.”
14 Coming to the disciples, he saw a great multitude around them, and scribes questioning them.
Isaanis yommuu gara barattoota kaanii dhufanitti, namoonni hedduun isaanitti naannaʼanii, barsiistonni seeraa immoo utuu isaanitti falmanuu argan.
15 Immediately all the multitude, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him, greeted him.
Namoonni hundinuus akkuma Yesuusin arganiin akka malee dinqifatanii isa dubbisuudhaaf itti fiigan.
16 He asked the scribes, “What are you asking them?”
Innis, “Isin maal isaanitti falmitu?” jedhee isaan gaafate.
17 One of the multitude answered, “Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;
Namoota sana keessaas namichi tokko akkana jedhee deebise; “Yaa barsiisaa, ani ilma koo kan hafuura arraba didaadhaan qabame sitti fideera.
18 and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren’t able.”
Hafuurichi yeroo itti kaʼu kam iyyuu, darbatee lafaan isa dhaʼa. Gurbichis hoomacha afaaniin baasa; ilkaan qara; ni kokottaaʼas. Ani akka hafuura sana baasaniif barattoota kee nan gaafadhe; isaan garuu hin dandeenye.”
19 He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”
Yesuusis deebisee, “Isin dhaloota hin amanne nana; ani hamma yoomiittin isin wajjin jiraadha? Hamma yoomiittis ani isinii obsa? Mee gurbicha natti fidaa” jedhe.
20 They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
Isaanis gurbicha isatti fidan. Hafuurichis akkuma Yesuusin argeen gurbicha dhidhiitachiise; gurbichis lafa dhaʼee hoomacha afaaniin baasee gangalate.
21 He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has been happening to him?” He said, “From childhood.
Yesuusis, “Wanni kun erga isa qabee hammam ture?” jedhee abbaa gurbichaa gaafate. Innis akkana jedhe; “Ijoollummaadhaa jalqabee ti.
22 Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
Isa ajjeesuuf jedhees yeroo baayʼee ibidda keessa yookaan bishaan keessa isa buuseera. Ati garuu yoo waanuma tokko illee gochuu dandeesse garaa nuu laafiitii nu gargaari.”
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Yesuusis, “‘Yoo dandeesse’ jettaa? Nama amanuuf wanni hundi ni dandaʼama” jedheen.
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”
Yommusuma abbaan mucaa sanaa, “Ani nan amana; amantii dhabuu koo na gargaari” jedhee iyye.
25 When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”
Yesuusis yommuu namoota girrisanii dhufan argetti, “Yaa hafuura duudaa fi arrab-didaa nana, akka ati isa keessaa baatu, deebitees akka isatti hin galle sin ajaja” jedhee hafuura xuraaʼaa sana ifate.
26 After crying out and convulsing him greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead, so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”
Hafuurri sun iyyee, akka malees isa dhidhiitachiisee keessaa baʼe. Gurbichis akkuma reeffaa taʼe; namoonni baayʼeenis, “Inni duʼeera” jedhan.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him up; and he arose.
Yesuus garuu harka qabee ol isa kaase; gurbaan sunis kaʼee dhaabate.
28 When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”
Erga Yesuus manatti ol galee booddee barattoonni isaa, “Nu maaliif hafuura hamaa sana baasuu dadhabne?” jedhanii kophaatti isa gaafatan.
29 He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but by prayer and fasting.”
Innis deebisee, “Inni akkanaa kun kadhannaa fi sooma qofaan baʼa malee waan biraatiin hin baʼu” jedheen.
30 They went out from there and passed through Galilee. He didn’t want anyone to know it,
Isaan achii kaʼanii Galiilaa keessa darban. Yesuusis akka namni tokko iyyuu kana beeku hin barbaanne;
31 for he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”
sababiin isaas, “Ilmi Namaa dabarfamee harka namootaatti ni kennama. Isaanis isa ni ajjeesu; innis guyyaa sadii booddee duʼaa ni kaʼa” jedhee barattoota isaa barsiisaa ture.
32 But they didn’t understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.
Isaan garuu waan inni jedhe hin hubanne; isa gaafachuus ni sodaatan.
33 He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”
Isaanis Qifirnaahom dhaqan. Innis yeroo mana keessa turetti, “Isin karaatti maal walitti falmaa turtan?” jedhee isaan gaafate.
34 But they were silent, for they had disputed with one another on the way about who was the greatest.
Isaan garuu eenyu akka nama hundumaa caalu karaatti waan walitti falmaa turaniif ni calʼisan.
35 He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
Yesuusis taaʼee warra kudha lamaan waamee, “Namni nama jalqabaa taʼuu barbaadu kam iyyuu nama hundaa gadii fi tajaajilaa nama hundaa taʼuu qaba” jedheen.
36 He took a little child and set him in the middle of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
Innis mucaa xinnaa tokko fidee isaan gidduu dhaabe. Hammatees akkana isaaniin jedhe;
37 “Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, doesn’t receive me, but him who sent me.”
“Namni ijoollee xixinnoo kanneen keessaa tokko maqaa kootiin simatu kam iyyuu na simata; namni na simatu kam iyyuus isa na erge sana simata malee na qofa hin simatu.”
38 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”
Yohannisis, “Yaa barsiisaa, nu utuu namni tokko maqaa keetiin hafuurota hamoo baasuu arginee waan inni nu duukaa hin buuneef isa dhowwine” jedhe.
39 But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
Yesuus garuu akkana jedhe; “Isa hin dhowwinaa; namni maqaa kootiin dinqii hojjetu kan ergasii immoo dafee waaʼee koo waan hamaa dubbachuu dandaʼu tokko iyyuu hin jiruutii.
40 For whoever is not against us is on our side.
Namni nuun hin mormine kam iyyuu kanuma keenyaatii.
41 For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
Ani dhuguman isinitti hima; namni sababii isin kan Kiristoos taataniif jedhee bishaan budduuqsaa tokkoo isinii kennu kam iyyuu dhugumaan gatii isaa hin dhabu.
42 “Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
“Namni kam iyyuu warra natti amanan xixinnaa kanneen keessaa tokko gufachiisuu irra, utuu dhagaan daakuu guddaan isaa morma isaatti hidhamee galaanatti darbatamee isaaf wayya ture.
43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire, (Geenna )
Yoo harki kee si gufachiise, of irraa muri. Harka lama qabaattee gahaannamitti, iddoo ibiddi isaa hin dhaamnetti galuu irra, harka dooluudhaan jireenyatti galuu siif wayya. [ (Geenna )

Gahaannamis iddoo, “‘raammoon isaanii hin duune, ibiddis hin dhaamnee dha.’] ()
45 If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched— (Geenna )
Yoo miilli kee si gufachiise of irraa muri. Miilla lama qabaattee gahaannamitti darbatamuu irra, laamshoftee jireenyatti galuu siif wayya. [ (Geenna )

Gahaannamis iddoo, “‘raammoon isaanii hin duune, ibiddis hin dhaamnee dha.’] ()
47 If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire, (Geenna )
Yoo iji kee si gufachiise, of keessaa baasi. Ija lama qabaattee gahaannamiitti darbatamuu irra ija tokkoon mootummaa Waaqaatti galuu siif wayya. (Geenna )
48 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
Gahaannamis iddoo, “‘raammoon isaanii hin duune, ibiddis hin dhaamnee dha.’ ()
49 For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
Namni hundinuu ibiddaan miʼeeffama.
50 Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
“Soogiddi gaarii dha; garuu yoo miʼaa isaa dhabe, miʼaa isaa akkamiin deebisuufii dandeessu? Isinis soogidda of keessaa qabaadhaa; walii wajjinis nagaan jiraadhaa.”
