Malachi 4
1 “For behold, the day comes, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and all who work wickedness will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up,” says the LORD of Armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
Porque eis que aquele dia vem ardendo como forno; todos os soberbos e todos os que praticam perversidade serão [como a] palha; e o dia que está por vir os queimará, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, de maneira que não lhes deixará nem raiz nem ramo.
2 But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.
Mas para vós, que temeis o meu nome, o Sol da justiça nascerá, trazendo cura em suas asas; e saireis, e saltareis de alegria como bezerros do curral.
3 You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make,” says the LORD of Armies.
E pisareis os perversos, porque serão cinza debaixo das plantas dos vossos pés, no dia que eu preparo, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.
4 “Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.
Lembrai-vos da lei de meu servo Moisés, que lhe mandei em Horebe estatutos e regras para todo Israel.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes.
Eis que eu vos envio o profeta Elias, antes que venha o grande e temível dia do SENHOR.
6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
Ele converterá o coração dos pais aos filhos, e o coração dos filhos aos pais; para que eu não venha e fira a terra com maldição.
