< Lamentations 5 >
1 Remember, LORD, what has come on us. Look, and see our reproach.
Inu Yehova, kumbukirani zimene zinatichitikira; yangʼanani ndipo muone kunyozeka kwathu.
2 Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our houses to aliens.
Apereka cholowa chathu kwa obwera, nyumba zathu kwa alendo.
3 We are orphans and fatherless. Our mothers are as widows.
Takhala amasiye ndi wopanda abambo, amayi athu ali ngati akazi amasiye.
4 We must pay for water to drink. Our wood is sold to us.
Tiyenera kugula madzi amene timamwa, nkhuni zathunso nʼzogula.
5 Our pursuers are on our necks. We are weary, and have no rest.
Otilondola atigwira pakhosi; tafowoka ndipo sakutilola kupumula.
6 We have given our hands to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
Tinadzipereka kwa Aigupto ndi kwa Asiriya kuti tipeze chakudya.
7 Our fathers sinned, and are no more. We have borne their iniquities.
Makolo athu anachimwa ndipo anafa kale, koma chilango chawo chili pa ife.
8 Servants rule over us. There is no one to deliver us out of their hand.
Akapolo akutilamulira, ndipo palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe angatimasule mʼdzanja lawo.
9 We get our bread at the peril of our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.
Timapeza chakudya chathu poyika miyoyo yathu pa chiswe chifukwa cha lupanga mʼchipululu.
10 Our skin is black like an oven, because of the burning heat of famine.
Khungu lathu latentha ngati uvuni mʼngʼanjo, chifukwa cha kuwawa kwa njala.
11 They ravished the women in Zion, the virgins in the cities of Judah.
Amayi agwiriridwa mu Ziyoni, ndi anamwali mʼmizinda ya Yuda.
12 Princes were hanged up by their hands. The faces of elders were not honored.
Akalonga athu akuwapachika pomangirira manja awo, akuluakulu sakuwalemekeza.
13 The young men carry millstones. The children stumbled under loads of wood.
Achinyamata akukakamizidwa kupera tirigu; anyamata akudzandira ndi mitolo ya nkhuni.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, and the young men from their music.
Akuluakulu anachokapo pa chipata cha mzinda; achinyamata aleka nyimbo zawo.
15 The joy of our heart has ceased. Our dance is turned into mourning.
Chimwemwe chachoka mʼmitima yathu; kuvina kwathu kwasanduka maliro.
16 The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!
Chipewa chathu chaufumu chagwa pamutu pathu. Tsoka kwa ife, chifukwa tachimwa!
17 For this our heart is faint. For these things our eyes are dim:
Mitima yathu yakomoka chifukwa cha zimenezi, chifukwa cha zinthu zimenezi maso athu sakuona bwino,
18 for the mountain of Zion, which is desolate. The foxes walk on it.
pakuti phiri la Ziyoni, limene lasanduka bwinja, nkhandwe zikungoyendayendapo.
19 You, LORD, remain forever. Your throne is from generation to generation.
Inu Yehova, lamulirani kwamuyaya; mpando wanu waufumu udzakhalabe ku mibadomibado.
20 Why do you forget us forever, and forsake us for so long a time?
Chifukwa chiyani mumatiyiwala nthawi zonse? Chifukwa chiyani mwatitaya nthawi yayitali chotere?
21 Turn us to yourself, LORD, and we will be turned. Renew our days as of old.
Yehova mutitembenuzire kwa Inu, kuti tibwerere; mukonzenso masiku athu akhale monga akale,
22 But you have utterly rejected us. You are very angry against us.
pokhapokha ngati mwatitaya kotheratu, ndi kuti mwatikwiyira kobzola muyeso.
