< John 17 >
1 Jesus said these things, then lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;

2 even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him. (aiōnios )
Elabena èna ŋusẽe ɖe amegbetɔwo katã dzi le xexea me, be wòana agbe mavɔ ame sia ame si nètsɔ nɛ la. (aiōnios )
3 This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
Ale si ame awɔ akpɔ agbe mavɔ lae nye be wòanya wò Mawu vavã ɖeka hɔ̃ɔ la, eye wòaxɔ Yesu Kristo, ame si nèɖo ɖe xexea me hã dzi ase. (aiōnios )
4 I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.
Meɖe wò Ŋutikɔkɔe fia le anyigba dzi to dɔ siwo nède asi nam la nuwuwu me.
5 Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.
Azɔ la, Fofo, ɖe wò ŋutikɔkɔe fiam le wò ŋkume to ŋutikɔkɔe si nènam le gbɔwò hafi xexea me dze egɔme la me.
6 “I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.
“Megblɔ ame si ƒomevi nènye la na ame siwo nènam le xexea me la. Tɔwòwoe wonye; ètsɔ wo nam, eye wowɔ ɖe wò nyawo dzi.
7 Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you,
Azɔ wonya be nu sia nu si nètsɔ nam la tso gbɔwò,
8 for the words which you have given me I have given to them; and they received them, and knew for sure that I came from you. They have believed that you sent me.
elabena nya si nède asinye la metsɔe na wo, eye woxɔe. Wonyae kɔtɛe be metso gbɔwò, eye woxɔe se hã be wòe dɔm ɖo ɖa.
9 I pray for them. I don’t pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.
Medo gbe ɖa ɖe wo ta; nyemele gbe dom ɖa ɖe xexea me ta o. Ame siwo nètsɔ nam la tae medo gbe ɖa ɖo, elabena tɔwòwoe wonye.
10 All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.
Nu siwo katã nye tɔnye la, tɔwòe, eye nu siwo katã nye tɔnye la, tɔwòe, eye woawo mee woɖe nye Ŋutikɔkɔe fia le.
11 I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
Azɔ mele dzodzo ge le xexea me ava gbɔwò, gake wogale xexea me. Fofo kɔkɔe, kpɔ wo ta to wò ŋusẽ kple ŋkɔ me, ŋkɔ si nènam be woawɔ ɖeka abe ale si nye kpli wò miewɔ ɖekae ene.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. I have kept those whom you have given me. None of them is lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
Esi menɔ wo gbɔ la, mekpɔ wo ta, eye mena be wole dedie to ŋkɔ si nènam la me. Wo dometɔ aɖeke mebu o, negbe wo dometɔ si woɖo be woatsrɔ̃ la ko, be ŋɔŋlɔ la nava eme.
13 But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.
“Ke azɔ la, megbɔna gbɔwò, gake mele nya siawo gblɔm esi megale xexea me, be nye dzidzɔ blibo la katã nanɔ wo me.
14 I have given them your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Megblɔ wò nyawo na wo, eye xexea me lé fu wo, elabena womeganye xexea me tɔwo o, abe ale si nye hã nyemetso xexea me o ene. Nenema ke nye hã nye agbenɔnɔ mesɔ kple xexea me tɔwo ƒe agbenɔnɔ o.
15 I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
Fofo, nyemele biabiam be nàɖe wo le xexea me o, ke boŋ nàkpɔ wo ta tso vɔ̃ɖitɔ la ƒe asi me.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Wometso xexea me o, abe ale si nye hã nyemetso xexea me o ene.
17 Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.
Kɔ wo ŋu kple nyateƒe la, elabena wò nya la nye nyateƒe.
18 As you sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world.
Abe ale si nèdɔm ɖe xexea me ene la, nye hã mele wo dɔm ɖe xexea me.
19 For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
Mekɔ ɖokuinye ŋu ɖe wo ta, bena woakɔ woawo hã ŋu le nyateƒe la me.”
20 “Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who will believe in me through their word,
“Nyemele gbe dom ɖa ɖe woawo ɖeɖe ko ta o, ke mele gbe dom ɖa ɖe ame siwo hã ava xɔ dzinye ase to woƒe mawunyagbɔgblɔ me la ta,
21 that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.
be wo katã woanɔ ɖeka abe ale si wò, Fofo la, nèle menye, eye nye hã mele mewò ene. Na woawo hã nanɔ mía me, be xexea me naxɔe ase be wòe dɔm.
22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them, that they may be one, even as we are one,
Metsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe si nètsɔ nam la na wo; wo ameawo nenɔ ɖeka le nu sia nu me, be xexea me nanyae be wòe dɔm, eye nèlɔ̃ woawo hã abe ale si nèlɔ̃m ene.
23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one, that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me.
Ne mele wo me, eye wò hã nèle menye la, mi katã miade blibo le ɖekanyenye me, ale be xexea me nanya be wòe dɔm eye nèlɔ̃ woawo hã abe ale si nèlɔ̃m ene.
24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
“Fofo, medi be ame siwo nètsɔ nam la nanɔ gbɔnye be woakpɔ nye ŋutikɔkɔe. Wòe na ŋutikɔkɔe siam, elabena èlɔ̃m vevie hafi xexea me va dzɔ.
25 Righteous Father, the world hasn’t known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.
“Fofo dzɔdzɔetɔ, togbɔ be xexea me menya wò o hã la, menya wò, eye nusrɔ̃la siawo hã nya be, wòe dɔm.
26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
Meɖe ame si nènye la fia wo, eye mayi edzi ana woanya wò, bena lɔlɔ̃ si nètsɔ nam la nanɔ woawo hã me, eye nye hã manɔ wo me.”
