< James 3 >
1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.
Valukolo wango, mlekhe ukhuva vamanyisi ukhulutilila, mulumanye ukhuta mulakhava uvuhiegi uvuvaha ukhulutielida.
2 For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
Ulwa kuva tumanyile ukhuta tumpienjanikha twivoni mumbo inchiluteilile. Umunu yuywa sikhiepienja mukhunchova, uywa iva ingaatalufu, uujakhimanyile ukhugusiga umbilie ugwa mwene gwoni ukhugusiga nu ikyuma.
3 Indeed, we put bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body.
Mulolage, tuviekhaukyuma mundomo ugwa farasi, ukhuta nchinkongage, pwu tusyetula umbieli gwavene gwoni.
4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.
Hange mulolage ingalava, ndayiwe mbaha ukhulutilila, nukhutoliwa ni unkhaluguto umbaha, yiesyetuliwa nie khienu ikhiedebe, ukhuhielikha ukwinogwa uviegeendencha.
5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!
Vulevule ululimu khinu khidebe ino, lwope lukhigienia nukhwievona eno. Pwu mulolage umwoto undeebe vuguwesya unyanya unsietu umbaha.
6 And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. (Geenna )
Ululimi lyope mwoto, kyukhilunga ikyambivi mufiluungeilo ifya mivieli gyietu, ululimu luviekha umbili gwoni ugwa munu uvuvivi nukhunkoncha umwoto mumitamilo gya mwene gyoni igya manchuva gamwene, gwope puguunyanyiwa mumbuhiegi. (Geenna )
7 For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and sea creature is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind;
Ulwa khuva khila khila khinkhanu ni fidege, ifinkhanu ifikwafula niefinkhanu fyoni, ifidege, injokha ni fywumi ifya munyanja fiwesya ukhidimiwa hange finkhungiwe navanu.
8 but nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
Hange asikhuli umunu uviwesya ukhudiema ululimi; vuvivi, uvuwesya ukhugega uvufwe.
9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God.
Khululimi tukhungienia unkhuludeva, Udada veitu, khululimi ulwa lunkhotola avanu avavumbiwe khukhikhwani ikya Nguluve.
10 Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
Khundomu ugwu gwihumya ulusaya nukhukhotola. Valunkhololwangwa satunogile ukhuva eiwo.
11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?
Nakhikhidwivudwivu ndakhiwesya ukhuhumya amagasi aginoga na magasi aganyamwinyo?
12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
Umbikhi ugwa vundoni, ndaguwesa ukhupa isongwa au ugwasongwa ndagiwesya ukhuhupa uvu vulevule iekhidwuvudwivu sakhiwesa ukhulumya amagasi aginoga na magosi agalie numwunyo.
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
Viveni umunu uvyaluluhala nuvumanyi mundwume umu? Aumbe pwatuvonesye uvutamo uwamwene uvunonu khumbombo incha mwene ichavombile khunonu inchihumile muluhala.
14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth.
Pwu mungave niekhivini nilyoyo nukhudukha na munumbu ncheinyo, mlekhe unkwiegiinia khuincho hange mulekhage ukhubela uwa yielweli.
15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
Uluhala salukwikha ukhuhuma khukyanya lwa mimkilunga umu, iemigeendele iegyamunu sagya khinumbula gya ndugu.
16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
Ulwa khuva upwupali niekhivini nukhulwa pwu palienuvuvivi nuvunangi uwa khila khinu.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Uluhala ulywihuma khukyanya ukhulagula lwiva lunonu, hange lwalunondehencho ni khisa, upuliekhila ukhupuliehincha amamenyu vavanu, ludiegile uluhala nie sekhe inonu lulievuvule ukwilamwa, salumanyile udeisi.
18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Iesekhe iyavugolofu yivyaliwa ndunonchehencho na vala avivomba ichalunonchehencho.
