Genesis 46
1 Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac.
Und Israel brach auf und alles, was er hatte, und kam nach Beerscheba, und opferte dem Gotte seines Vaters Isaak Opfer.
2 God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.”
Und Gott sprach zu Israel in Gesichten der Nacht, und Er sprach: Jakob, Jakob! Und er sprach: Hier bin ich.
3 He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.
Und Er sprach: Ich bin der Gott, der Gott deines Vaters. Fürchte dich nicht, nach Ägypten hinabzugehen; denn ich will dich dort zu einer großen Völkerschaft setzen.
4 I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph’s hand will close your eyes.”
Ich werde mit dir hinabgehen nach Ägypten und dich auch heraufkommen lassen, und Joseph wird seine Hand auf deine Augen legen.
5 Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
Und Jakob machte sich auf von Beerscheba, und die Söhne Israels hoben ihren Vater Jakob, ihre Kindlein und ihre Weiber auf in die Wagen, die Pharao gesandt, ihn zu fahren.
6 They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his offspring with him,
Und sie nahmen ihre Viehherden und ihre Habe, die sie im Lande Kanaan gewonnen hatten und kamen nach Ägypten, Jakob und all sein Same mit ihm.
7 his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt.
Seine Söhne und seiner Söhne Söhne mit ihm, seine Töchter und seiner Söhne Töchter, und all seinen Samen brachte er mit sich nach Ägypten.
8 These are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
Und dies sind die Namen der Söhne Israels, die nach Ägypten kamen, Jakobs und seiner Söhne: der Erstgeborene Jakobs: Ruben.
9 The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
Und die Söhne Rubens waren: Chanoch und Phallu und Chezron und Karmi.
10 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.
Und die Söhne Simeons: Jemuel und Jamin und Ohad und Jachin und Zochar und Schaul, der Sohn einer Kanaaniterin.
11 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Und die Söhne Levis: Gerschon und Kohath und Merari.
12 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
Und die Söhne Judahs: Er und Onan und Schelah und Pherez und Serach; Er und Onan aber waren gestorben im Lande Kanaan; und die Söhne des Pherez waren Chezron und Chamul.
13 The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron.
Und die Söhne Isaschars: Thola und Phuvah und Job und Schimron.
14 The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.
Und die Söhne Sebulons: Sered und Elon und Jachleel.
15 These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty-three.
Dies sind die Söhne der Leah, die sie dem Jakob in Padan Aram gebar, und Dinah, seine Tochter. Alle Seelen seiner Söhne und seiner Töchter waren dreiundreißig.
16 The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.
Und die Söhne Gads: Ziphjon und Chaggi, Schuni und Ezbon, Eri und Arodi und Areli.
17 The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and Serah their sister. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
Und die Söhne Aschers: Jimnah und Jischvah und Jischvi und Berijah und Serach, ihre Schwester, und die Söhne Berijahs: Cheber und Malchiel.
18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob, even sixteen souls.
Dies sind die Söhne Silpahs, die Laban seiner Tochter Leah gab. Und sie gebar diese dem Jakob, sechszehn Seelen.
19 The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
Die Söhne von Rachel, Jakobs Weib, waren Joseph und Benjamin.
20 To Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.
Und dem Joseph wurden geboren in Ägyptenland, die Asenath, die Tochter Potipheras, des Priesters von Ohn, ihm gebar, Menascheh und Ephraim.
21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.
Und die Söhne Benjamins waren: Bela und Becher und Aschbel, Gera und Naaman, Echi und Rosch, Muppim und Chuppim und Arde.
22 These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
Dies sind die Söhne Rachels, die dem Jakob geboren wurden, alle Seelen, vierzehn.
23 The son of Dan: Hushim.
Und die Söhne Dans: Chuschim.
24 The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.
Und die Söhne Naphthalis waren: Jachzeel und Guni und Jezer und Schillem.
25 These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob: all the souls were seven.
Dies sind die Söhne Bilhahs, die Laban seiner Tochter Rachel gab. Und sie gebar sie dem Jakob, alle Seelen, sieben.
26 All the souls who came with Jacob into Egypt, who were his direct offspring, in addition to Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were sixty-six.
Alle Seelen, die mit Jakob nach Ägypten kamen, die aus seinen Hüften hervorgingen, außer den Weibern der Söhne Jakobs, waren es alle Seelen, sechsundsechzig.
27 The sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.
Und die Söhne Josephs, die ihm in Ägypten geboren wurden, waren zwei Seelen. Alle Seelen vom Hause Jakobs, die nach Ägypten kamen, waren siebzig.
28 Jacob sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.
Und den Judah sandte er vor sich hin an Joseph, vor ihm her zu weisen nach Goschen; und sie kamen nach dem Lande Goschen.
29 Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
Und Joseph spannte seinen Streitwagen an und ging hinauf, seinem Vater Israel entgegen nach Goschen. Und als er sich ihm zeigte, da fiel er ihm um den Hals und weinte lange an seinem Hals.
30 Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”
Und Israel sprach zu Joseph: Nunmehr will ich sterben, nachdem ich dein Angesicht gesehen, daß du noch lebst.
31 Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father’s house, “I will go up, and speak with Pharaoh, and will tell him, ‘My brothers, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.
Und Joseph sprach zu seinen Brüdern und zu dem Haus seines Vaters: Ich will hinaufgehen und Pharao ansagen, und ich will zu ihm sagen: Meine Brüder und das Haus meines Vaters, die im Lande Kanaan waren, sind zu mir gekommen.
32 These men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.’
Und die Männer sind Hirten des Kleinviehs; denn sie sind Männer der Viehherden und haben ihr Kleinvieh und ihre Rinder und alles, was sie haben, hergebracht.
33 It will happen, when Pharaoh summons you, and will say, ‘What is your occupation?’
Und wenn es geschieht, daß Pharao euch ruft und sagt: Was ist euer Tun?
34 that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
Dann saget: Männer der Viehherden sind deine Knechte gewesen von unsrer Jugend auf und bis jetzt, sowohl wir als unsre Väter; auf daß ihr wohnen möget im Lande Goschen; denn alle, die Kleinvieh weiden, sind den Ägyptern ein Greuel.
