Ezekiel 25
1 The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them.
Fils de l'homme, tourne ta face contre les fils d'Ammon, et prophétise contre eux.
3 Tell the children of Ammon, ‘Hear the word of the Lord GOD! The Lord GOD says, “Because you said, ‘Aha!’ against my sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and against the house of Judah when they went into captivity,
Et dis aux fils d'Ammon: Écoutez la parole du Seigneur; ainsi parle le Seigneur: En punition de ce que vous vous êtes réjouis contre mes choses saintes, parce qu'elles ont été profanées, et contre Israël, parce qu'il a été détruit, et contre la maison de Juda, parce qu'elle a été emmenée en captivité;
4 therefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of the east for a possession. They will set their encampments in you and make their dwellings in you. They will eat your fruit and they will drink your milk.
En punition de cela, je vous livre en héritage aux fils de Cédem, et ils séjourneront chez toi, avec leurs bagages, et ils y dresseront leurs tentes; ils mangeront tes fruits et ils boiront ton lait.
5 I will make Rabbah a stable for camels and the children of Ammon a resting place for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”
Et je ferai de la ville d'Ammon un pâturage pour leurs chameaux, et des fils d'Ammon un pâturage pour leurs brebis, et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur.
6 For the Lord GOD says: “Because you have clapped your hands, stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the contempt of your soul against the land of Israel,
Car voici ce que dit le Seigneur: En punition de ce que tu as battu des mains et frappé du pied, et de ce que tu t'es réjoui en ton âme contre la terre d'Israël,
7 therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries. I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”
En punition de cela, j'étendrai sur toi ma main, et je te livrerai en proie aux nations, et je te détruirai parmi les peuples, et je t'anéantirai, et tu sauras que je suis le Seigneur.
8 “‘The Lord GOD says: “Because Moab and Seir say, ‘Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations,’
Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: En punition de ce que Moab a dit: La maison d'Israël n'est-elle point maintenant comme toutes les nations?
9 therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on its frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim,
En punition de cela, voilà que je vais briser l'épaule de Moab, loin de ses villes frontières, sa terre choisie, la maison de Béthasimuth, située sur la fontaine de la ville maritime.
10 to the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.
J'ai envoyé les fils de Cédem contre les fils d'Ammon, pour qu'ils en fassent leur héritage, et qu'il ne reste plus de souvenir des fils d'Ammon:
11 I will execute judgments on Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
Et je tirerai aussi vengeance de Moab, et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur.
12 “‘The Lord GOD says: “Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and taken revenge on them,”
Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: En punition de ce qu'a fait l'Idumée, qui, en châtiant la maison de Juda, s'est souvenue de sa propre haine, et s'est elle-même vengée;
13 therefore the Lord GOD says, “I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman. They will fall by the sword even to Dedan.
À cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur: J'étendrai aussi la main sur l'Idumée, et j'y exterminerai les hommes et le bétail, et j'en ferai un désert; et ceux de Théman que l'on poursuivra tomberont sous le glaive.
14 I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel. They will do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath. Then they will know my vengeance,” says the Lord GOD.
Et je punirai l'Idumée par les mains de mon peuple d'Israël, et ils traiteront l'Idumée selon ma colère et ma fureur, et ils connaîtront ma vengeance, dit le Seigneur.
15 “‘The Lord GOD says: “Because the Philistines have taken revenge, and have taken vengeance with contempt of soul to destroy with perpetual hostility,”
À cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur: En punition de ce que les Philistins, en châtiant mon peuple, ont fait revivre leur propre vengeance, et se sont enorgueillis en leur âme de les faire périr jusqu'au dernier;
16 therefore the Lord GOD says, “Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
À cause de cela, ainsi dit le Seigneur: Voilà que j'étendrai ma main sur les étrangers, et j'exterminerai les Crétois, et je détruirai le reste des habitants de la côte.
17 I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance on them.”’”
Et je les frapperai de mes grandes vengeances, et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur, quand ma vengeance tombera sur eux.
