Daniel 12
1 “At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. At that time your people will be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
En ce temps-là s'élèvera Michel le grand prince, celui qui veille sur les fils de ton peuple. Et ce sera un temps de tribulation, de tribulation telle qu'il n'y en a jamais eu de semblable depuis qu'il y a des nations sur la terre jusqu'à ce jour. En ce temps-là sera sauvé tout homme de ton peuple qui sera inscrit dans le livre.
2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Et nombre de ceux qui dorment sous des amas de terre se réveilleront, les uns pour la vie éternelle, les autres pour la honte et la confusion éternelle.
3 Those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse. Those who turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever and ever.
Et les sages brilleront comme les luminaires du firmament, et nombre de justes comme les étoiles, dans les siècles et au delà.
4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run back and forth, and knowledge will be increased.”
Pour toi, Daniel, renferme ces paroles, scelle le livre jusqu'au temps de l'accomplissement de ces choses; car beaucoup viendront y apprendre, et par lui la science se multipliera.
5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on the river bank on this side, and the other on the river bank on that side.
Et moi, Daniel, je regardai, et voilà qu'il y avait comme deux autres hommes se tenant l'un sur une rive du fleuve, l'autre sur l'autre rive.
6 One said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be to the end of these wonders?”
Et l'un d'eux dit à l'homme vêtu de lin, qui était au-dessus de l'eau du fleuve: Quand s'accompliront ces prodiges dont tu as parlé?
7 I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it will be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have finished breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.
Et j'entendis l'homme vêtu de lin, qui était au dessus de l'eau du fleuve; il leva les deux mains vers le ciel, et il jura par Celui qui vit éternellement qu'après un temps, deux temps et la moitié d'un temps à la fin de la dispersion, toutes ces choses seraient connues.
8 I heard, but I didn’t understand. Then I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
Et j'entendis, mais je ne compris pas, et je dis: Seigneur, quelle sera la fin de ces choses?
9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
Et il dit: Va, Daniel; car ces paroles seront renfermées et scellées, jusqu'à ce que les temps soient venus.
10 Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
Plusieurs seront élus, blanchis, éprouvés comme par le feu et sanctifiés; et les pécheurs pècheront, et nul des pécheurs ne comprendra, mais les sages comprendront.
11 “From the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there will be one thousand two hundred ninety days.
Et à partir du temps où a été supprimé le sacrifice perpétuel, l'abomination de la désolation durera douze cent quatre-vingt-dix jours.
12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
Heureux celui qui attendra et parviendra jusqu'à mille trois cent trente-cinq jours!
13 “But go your way until the end; for you will rest, and will stand in your inheritance at the end of the days.”
Pour toi, va, et sois en repos; car bien des jours et des heures s'écouleront encore avant que les temps s'accomplissent, et à la fin des temps tu ressusciteras pour recueillir ton partage.
