Acts 9
1 But Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
इस समय शाऊल पर प्रभु के शिष्यों को धमकाने तथा उनकी हत्या करने की धुन छाई हुई थी. वह महापुरोहित के पास गया
2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
और उनसे दमिश्क नगर के यहूदी सभागृहों के लिए इस उद्देश्य के अधिकार पत्रों की विनती की कि यदि उसे इस मत के शिष्य—स्त्री या पुरुष—मिलें तो उन्हें बंदी बनाकर येरूशलेम ले आए.
3 As he traveled, he got close to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the sky shone around him.
जब वह दमिश्क नगर के पास पहुंचा, एकाएक उसके चारों ओर स्वर्ग से एक बिजली कौंध गई,
4 He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
वह भूमि पर गिर पड़ा और उसने स्वयं को संबोधित करता हुआ एक शब्द सुना: “शाऊल! शाऊल! तुम मुझे क्यों सता रहे हो?”
5 He said, “Who are you, Lord?” The Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
इसके उत्तर में उसने कहा, “प्रभु! आप कौन हैं?” प्रभु ने उत्तर दिया, “मैं येशु हूं, जिसे तुम सता रहे हो
6 But rise up and enter into the city, then you will be told what you must do.”
किंतु अब उठो, नगर में जाओ और तुम्हें क्या करना है, तुम्हें बता दिया जाएगा.”
7 The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the sound, but seeing no one.
शाऊल के सहयात्री अवाक खड़े थे. उन्हें शब्द तो अवश्य सुनाई दे रहा था किंतु कोई दिखाई नहीं दे रहा था.
8 Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened, he saw no one. They led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.
तब शाऊल भूमि पर से उठा. यद्यपि उसकी आंखें तो खुली थी, वह कुछ भी देख नहीं पा रहा था. इसलिये उसका हाथ पकड़कर वे उसे दमिश्क नगर में ले गए.
9 He was without sight for three days, and neither ate nor drank.
तीन दिन तक वह अंधा रहा. उसने न कुछ खाया और न कुछ पिया.
10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias!” He said, “Behold, it’s me, Lord.”
दमिश्क में हननयाह नामक व्यक्ति मसीह येशु के एक शिष्य थे. उनसे प्रभु ने दर्शन में कहा. “हननयाह!” “क्या आज्ञा है, प्रभु?” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया.
11 The Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,
प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “सीधा नामक गली पर जाकर यहूदाह के घर में तारस्यॉसवासी शाऊल के विषय में पूछो, जो प्रार्थना कर रहा है.
12 and in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and laying his hands on him, that he might receive his sight.”
उसने दर्शन में देखा है कि हननयाह नामक एक व्यक्ति आकर उस पर हाथ रखे कि वह दोबारा देखने लगें.”
13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.
हननयाह ने संदेह व्यक्त किया, “किंतु प्रभु! मैंने इस व्यक्ति के विषय में अनेकों से सुन रखा है कि उसने येरूशलेम में आपके पवित्र लोगों का कितना बुरा किया है
14 Here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”
और यहां भी वह प्रधान पुरोहितों से यह अधिकार पत्र लेकर आया है कि उन सभी को बंदी बनाकर ले जाए, जो आपके शिष्य हैं.”
15 But the Lord said to him, “Go your way, for he is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel.
किंतु प्रभु ने हननयाह से कहा, “तुम जाओ! वह मेरा चुना हुआ हथियार है, जो गैर-यहूदियों, उनके राजाओं तथा इस्राएलियों के सामने मेरे नाम का प्रचार करेगा.
16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
मैं उसे यह अहसास दिलाऊंगा कि उसे मेरे लिए कितना कष्ट उठाना होगा.”
17 Ananias departed and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
हननयाह ने उस घर में जाकर शाऊल पर अपने हाथ रखे और कहा, “भाई शाऊल, प्रभु येशु मसीह ने, जिन्होंने तुम्हें यहां आते हुए मार्ग में दर्शन दिया, मुझे तुम्हारे पास भेजा है कि तुम्हें दोबारा आंखों की रोशनी मिल जाए और तुम पवित्र आत्मा से भर जाओ.”
18 Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.
तुरंत ही उसकी आंखों पर से पपड़ी जैसी गिरी और वह दोबारा देखने लगा, वह उठा और उसे बपतिस्मा दिया गया.
19 He took food and was strengthened. Saul stayed several days with the disciples who were at Damascus.
भोजन के बाद उसके शरीर में बल लौट आया. वह कुछ दिन दमिश्क नगर के शिष्यों के साथ ही रहा.
20 Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that he is the Son of God.
शाऊल ने बिना देर किए यहूदी सभागृहों में यह शिक्षा देनी शुरू कर दी, “मसीह येशु ही परमेश्वर का पुत्र हैं.”
21 All who heard him were amazed, and said, “Isn’t this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!”
उनके सुननेवाले चकित हो यह विचार करते थे, “क्या यह वही नहीं जिसने येरूशलेम में उनका बुरा किया, जो मसीह येशु के विश्वासी थे और वह यहां भी इसी उद्देश्य से आया था कि उन्हें बंदी बनाकर प्रधान पुरोहितों के सामने प्रस्तुत करे?”
22 But Saul increased more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
किंतु शाऊल सामर्थ्यी होते चले गए और दमिश्क के यहूदियों के सामने यह प्रमाणित करते हुए कि येशु ही मसीह हैं, उन्हें निरुत्तर करते रहे.
23 When many days were fulfilled, the Jews conspired together to kill him,
कुछ समय बीतने के बाद यहूदियों ने उनकी हत्या की योजना की
24 but their plot became known to Saul. They watched the gates both day and night that they might kill him,
किंतु शाऊल को उनकी इस योजना के बारे में मालूम हो गया. शाऊल की हत्या के उद्देश्य से उन्होंने नगर द्वार पर रात-दिन चौकसी कड़ी कर दी
25 but his disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
किंतु रात में उनके शिष्यों ने उन्हें टोकरे में बैठाकर नगर की शहरपनाह से नीचे उतार दिया.
26 When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
येरूशलेम पहुंचकर शाऊल ने मसीह येशु के शिष्यों में शामिल होने का प्रयास किया किंतु वे सब उनसे भयभीत थे क्योंकि वे विश्वास नहीं कर पा रहे थे कि शाऊल भी अब वास्तव में मसीह येशु के शिष्य हो गए हैं
27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.
परंतु बारनबास उन्हें प्रेरितों के पास ले गए और उन्हें स्पष्ट बताया कि मार्ग में किस प्रकार शाऊल को प्रभु का दर्शन प्राप्त हुआ और प्रभु ने उनसे बातचीत की तथा कैसे उन्होंने दमिश्क नगर में मसीह येशु के नाम का प्रचार निडरता से किया है.
28 He was with them entering into Jerusalem,
इसलिये शाऊल येरूशलेम में प्रेरितों के साथ स्वतंत्रता पूर्वक आते जाते रहने लगे तथा मसीह येशु के नाम का प्रचार निडरता से करने लगे.
29 preaching boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. He spoke and disputed against the Hellenists, but they were seeking to kill him.
वह यूनानी भाषा के यहूदियों से बातचीत और वाद-विवाद करते थे जबकि वे भी उनकी हत्या की कोशिश कर रहे थे.
30 When the brothers knew it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.
जब अन्य शिष्यों को इसके विषय में मालूम हुआ, वे उन्हें कयसरिया नगर ले गए जहां से उन्होंने उन्हें तारस्यॉस नगर भेज दिया.
31 So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
सारे यहूदिया प्रदेश, गलील प्रदेश और शमरिया प्रदेश में प्रभु में श्रद्धा के कारण कलीसिया में शांति का विकास विस्तार हो रहा था. पवित्र आत्मा के प्रोत्साहन के कारण उनकी संख्या बढ़ती जा रही थी.
32 As Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.
पेतरॉस इन सभी क्षेत्रों में यात्रा करते हुए लुद्दा नामक स्थान के संतों के बीच पहुंचे.
33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years because he was paralyzed.
वहां उनकी भेंट ऐनियास नाम के व्यक्ति से हुई, जो आठ वर्ष से लकवे से पीड़ित था.
34 Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed!” Immediately he arose.
पेतरॉस ने उससे कहा, “ऐनियास, मसीह येशु के नाम में चंगे हो जाओ, उठो और अपना बिछौना संभालो.” वह तुरंत उठ खड़ा हुआ.
35 All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
उसे चंगा हुआ देखकर सभी लुद्दा नगर तथा शारोन नगरवासियों ने प्रभु में विश्वास किया.
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated means Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.
योप्पा नगर में तबीथा नामक एक शिष्या थी. तबीथा नाम का यूनानी अनुवाद है दोरकस. वह बहुत ही भली, कृपालु तथा परोपकारी स्त्री थी और उदारतापूर्वक दान दिया करती थी.
37 In those days, she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
किसी रोग से उसकी मृत्यु हो गई. स्नान के बाद उसे ऊपरी कमरे में लिटा दिया गया था.
38 As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.
लुद्दा नगर योप्पा नगर के पास है. शिष्यों ने पेतरॉस के विषय में सुन रखा था, इसलिये लोगों ने दो व्यक्तियों को इस विनती के साथ पेतरॉस के पास भेजा, “कृपया बिना देर किए यहां आने का कष्ट करें.”
39 Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper room. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the tunics and other garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
पेतरॉस उठकर उनके साथ चल दिए. उन्हें उस ऊपरी कक्ष में ले जाया गया. वहां सभी विधवाएं उन्हें घेरकर रोने लगी. उन्होंने पेतरॉस को वे सब वस्त्र दिखाए, जो दोरकस ने अपने जीवनकाल में बनाए थे.
40 Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
मगर पेतरॉस ने उन सभी को कक्ष से बाहर भेज दिया. तब उन्होंने घुटने टेककर प्रार्थना की और फिर शव की ओर मुंह करके आज्ञा दी, “तबीथा! उठो!” उस स्त्री ने अपनी आंखें खोल दीं और पेतरॉस को देख वह उठ बैठी.
41 He gave her his hand and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.
पेतरॉस ने हाथ बढ़ाकर उसे उठाया और शिष्यों और विधवाओं को वहां बुलाकर जीवित दोरकस उनके सामने प्रस्तुत कर दी.
42 This became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
सारे योप्पा में यह घटना सबको मालूम हो गई. अनेकों ने प्रभु में विश्वास किया.
43 He stayed many days in Joppa with a tanner named Simon.
पेतरॉस वहां अनेक दिन शिमओन नामक व्यक्ति के यहां ठहरे रहे, जो व्यवसाय से चमड़े का काम करता था.
