1 Samuel 8
1 When Samuel was old, he made his sons judges over Israel.
১চমূৱেল বৃদ্ধ হোৱাৰ পাছত, তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ সকলক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত তেওঁ বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তা নিযুক্ত কৰিলে।
2 Now the name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah. They were judges in Beersheba.
২তেওঁৰ প্ৰথম পুত্ৰৰ নাম যোৱেল, দ্বিতীয় পুত্ৰৰ নাম অবিয়া আছিল; তেওঁলোকে বেৰ-চেবাত বিচাৰ কৰিছিল।
3 His sons didn’t walk in his ways, but turned away after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.
৩তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰসকল পিতৃৰ পথত চলা নাছিল, কিন্তু অসৎ পথত চলিছিল। তেওঁলোকে ভেটী খাই অন্যায় বিচাৰ কৰিছিল৷
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together and came to Samuel to Ramah.
৪সেই কাৰণে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বৃদ্ধ লোকসকলে চমূৱেলক ল’গ ধৰিবলৈ ৰামালৈ আহিল৷
5 They said to him, “Behold, you are old, and your sons don’t walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”
৫তেওঁলোকে চমূৱেলক ক’লে, “চাওক, আপুনি বৃদ্ধ হৈছে, আৰু আপোনাৰ পুত্ৰসকল আপোনাৰ পথত চলা নাই, সেয়েহে অন্যান্য দেশৰ দৰে আমাৰো বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ আপুনি আমাৰ ওপৰত এজন ৰজা নিযুক্ত কৰি দিয়ক।”
6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” Samuel prayed to the LORD.
৬যি সময়ত তেওঁলোকে কৈছিল, “আমাৰ বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ আমাক এজন ৰজা দিয়ক” সেই সময়ত চমূৱেলে অসন্তুষ্ট হৈ যিহোৱাৰ আগত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে৷
7 The LORD said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.
৭যিহোৱাই চমূৱেলক ক’লে, “এইলোক সকলে তোমাৰ আগত যি যি কথা কৈছে, সেই সকলো কথা শুনা; কিয়নো সিহঁতে যে তোমাক অগ্ৰাহ্য কৰিলে, এনে নহয়, কিন্তু মই যেন সিহঁতৰ ওপৰত ৰাজত্ব নকৰোঁ, এই আশয়েৰে মোকেই অগ্ৰাহ্য কৰিলে।
8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, in that they have forsaken me and served other gods, so they also do to you.
৮মই মিচৰৰ পৰা সিহঁতক বাহিৰ কৰি অনা দিনৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে সিহঁতে মোলৈ যেনেকৈ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰি আহিছে, অৰ্থাৎ মোক ত্যাগ কৰি অন্যান্য দেৱতাবোৰক পূজা কৰি আহিছে, তেনেকৈ তোমালৈকো একে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিছে।
9 Now therefore, listen to their voice. However, you shall protest solemnly to them, and shall show them the way of the king who will reign over them.”
৯সেয়েহে, এতিয়া সিহঁতৰ কথা শুনা; কিন্তু নম্ৰভাৱে সিহঁতক সাৱধান কৰা আৰু সিহঁতৰ ওপৰত যি ৰজাই ৰাজত্ব কৰিব, সেই ৰজাৰ নিয়ম প্ৰণালী সিহঁতক বুজাই দিয়া।”
10 Samuel told all the LORD’s words to the people who asked him for a king.
১০তাৰ পাছত যি লোকসকলে চমূৱেলক ৰজা খুজিছিল, তেওঁলোকৰ আগত তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ সেই সকলো কথা জনালে।
11 He said, “This will be the way of the king who shall reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them as his servants, for his chariots and to be his horsemen; and they will run before his chariots.
১১আৰু ক’লে, “তোমালোকৰ ওপৰত যি ৰজাই ৰাজত্ব কৰিব তেওঁৰ নিয়ম প্ৰণালী এইদৰে হ’ব; তোমালোকৰ পুত্ৰ সকলক নিজৰ ৰথ আৰু ঘোঁৰাৰ ওপৰত নিযুক্ত কৰিব, আৰু সিহঁত তেওঁৰ ৰথৰ আগে আগে দৌৰি যাব;
12 He will appoint them to him for captains of thousands and captains of fifties; and he will assign some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest; and to make his instruments of war and the instruments of his chariots.
১২আৰু তেওঁ সিহঁতক নিজৰ সহস্ৰপতি পঞ্চাশপতি পাতিব; আৰু নিজৰ মাটিত হাল বাবলৈ, শস্য দাবলৈ, আৰু যুদ্ধৰ অস্ত্ৰ ও ৰথৰ সঁজুলি গঢ়াবলৈ নিযুক্ত কৰি ল’ব।
13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers, to be cooks, and to be bakers.
১৩তেওঁ আপোনালোকৰ জীয়ৰী সকলকো সুগন্ধি দ্ৰব্য প্ৰস্তুত কৰিবলৈ, ৰান্ধিবলৈ, আৰু চুলাত সেকি খাদ্য বনাবলৈ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব।
14 He will take your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, even your best, and give them to his servants.
১৪তেওঁ উত্তম শস্যক্ষেত্ৰ, দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰী, আৰু জিত গছৰ বাগিছাবোৰ তোমালোকৰ পৰা লৈ নিজ দাস সকলক দিব।
15 He will take one tenth of your seed and of your vineyards, and give it to his officers and to his servants.
১৫তোমালোকৰ শস্যৰ আৰু দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীৰ ফলৰ দহ ভাগৰ এভাগ লৈ নিজৰ কৰ্মচাৰী আৰু দাস সকলক দিব।
16 He will take your male servants, your female servants, your best young men, and your donkeys, and assign them to his own work.
১৬তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ পুৰুষ আৰু মহিলা দাস সকলক ল’ব আৰু সকলোতকৈ উত্তম ডেকা পুৰুষসকলক আৰু গাধবোৰকো লৈ নিজৰ কামত লগাব।
17 He will take one tenth of your flocks; and you will be his servants.
১৭তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ মেৰ-ছাগ আৰু ছাগলীবোৰৰ দহ ভাগৰ এভাগ ল’ব; আৰু তোমালোক তেওঁৰ বন্দী হ’বা।
18 You will cry out in that day because of your king whom you will have chosen for yourselves; and the LORD will not answer you in that day.”
১৮সেই দিনা তোমালোকে নিজে মনোনীত কৰি লোৱা ৰজাৰ কাৰণে কান্দিবা; কিন্তু যিহোৱাই সেইদিনা তোমালোকক উত্তৰ নিদিব।”
19 But the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel; and they said, “No, but we will have a king over us,
১৯কিন্তু লোকসকলে চমূৱেলৰ কথা নামানিলে; তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক ক’লে, “নহয় নহয়! আমাৰ ওপৰত এজন ৰজা হবই লাগিব।
20 that we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.”
২০আমি আন জাতিৰ দৰে হ’বলৈ, আমাৰ বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ আৰু আমাৰ আগে আগে গৈ আমাৰ পক্ষে যুদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ, আমাক এজন ৰজা লাগে।”
21 Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.
২১তাৰ পাছত চমূৱেলে লোকসকলৰ সকলো কথা শুনি পুনৰ সেই কথা যিহোৱাক জনালে।
22 The LORD said to Samuel, “Listen to their voice, and make them a king.” Samuel said to the men of Israel, “Everyone go to your own city.”
২২যিহোৱাই চমূৱেলক ক’লে, “তুমি লোকসকলৰ কথা শুনা আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত এজন ৰজা পাতি দিয়া।” তাৰ পাছত চমূৱেলে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলক ক’লে, “প্ৰত্যেক জনে নিজৰ নিজৰ নগৰলৈ যাবই লাগিব।”
