< 1 John 5 >
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him.
MEAMEN me kamelele, me Iejuj me Krijtuj, nan i me ipwi jan ren Kot, o me kin pok on me kaipwidi i, kin pil pok on, me ipwi janer.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments.
I me kitail ajaki, me kitail pok on jeri en Kot akan, ni atail pok on Kot o oke a kujoned akan.
3 For this is loving God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.
let limpok on Kot, atail kapwaiada a kujoned akan, a a kujoned akan me jota apwal.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.
Pwe meamen, me ipwi jan ren Kot, kin kaloedi jappa. let pai en pei, me kaloedier jappa, atail pojon.
5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Ij me kaloedi jappa, kaidin I eta, me kamelele, me Iejuj Japwilim en Kot?
6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
I met, me kokido pil o nta, Iejuj Krijtuj; kaidin pil eta, pwe pil o nta. Nen me kadedeki, pwe Nen melel.
7 For there are three who testify:
Irail me jilimen me kadede:
8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.
Nen, o pil, o nta; irail kin minimin pena.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is God’s testimony which he has testified concerning his Son.
Ma kitail kamelele kadede en aramaj akan, nan kadede en Kot me lap jan, pwe i en Kot a kadede me a kotin kadedeki japwilim a Ol.
10 He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.
Me kamelele Japwilim en Kot, a men kadede mi lole, me jo kin kamelele Kot, kin kalikame i, pwe a jota kamelele kadede en Kot duen japwilim a Ol.
11 The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
A iet kadede o: Kot me kotiki on kitail er maur joutuk; a i jon en maur mi ren japwilim a Ol. (aiōnios )
12 He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.
Me aneki Na, i me aneki maur, a me jota aneki Japwilim en Kot, a pil jota aneki maur.
13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios )
Mepukat i intin won komail er, pwe komail en aja, me maur joutuk mi re omail, a komail, me pojon mar en Japwilim en Kot. (aiōnios )
14 This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
O iet at kaporopor kaperen: Meakot kitail poeki re a duen kupur a, a kotin mani kitail.
15 And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
A ma kitail aja, me a kotin mani kitail, iran meakot kitail poeki re a, kitail ap aja, me kitail pwaij anekier, me kitail kapakapaki.
16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.
Meamen me kilanada ri a wia dip, me jo imwilan mela, i en kapakapaki, Kot ap pan kotiki on i maur, on ir, me jo wia dip, me udan mela. A eu jon en dip mia, me imwilan mela, duen jon en i jota inda, meamen en kapakapaki.
17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.
Japun karoj me dip, a jon en dip mia, me jota imwilan mela.
18 We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him.
Kitail aja, meamen me ipwi jan ren Kot, jota kin wia dip; a me ipwi jan ren Kot, apapwali pein i, a men jued o jota pan doke i.
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Kitail aja, me kitail tapi jan ren Kot, a jappa karoj mi ni me jued.
20 We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios )
A kitail aja, me Japwilim en Kot pwarador, kalolekon kitail er, pwe kitail en aja i me melel, o kitail kijan i me melel, iei japwilim a Iejuj Krijtuj. I me Kot melel o maur joutuk. (aiōnios )
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
Jama ko, kalaka pein komail jan dikedik en ani kan!
