1 Chronicles 12
1 Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
Auch kamen zu David gen Ziklag, da er noch abgesondert war vor Saul, dem Sohn des Kis, und sie waren auch unter den Helden, die zum Streit halfen,
2 They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were of Saul’s relatives of the tribe of Benjamin.
mit Bogen gerüstet, geschickt mit beiden Händen, auf Steine und auf Pfeile und Bogen: von den Brüdern Sauls, die aus Benjamin waren:
3 The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
der Vornehmste Ahieser und Joas, die Kinder Saamas, des Gibeathiters, Jesiel und Pelet, die Kinder Asmaveths, Baracha und Jehu, der Anathothiter,
4 Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty and a leader of the thirty; Jeremiah; Jahaziel; Johanan; Jozabad the Gederathite;
Jismaja, der Gibeoniter, gewaltig unter den dreißig und über die dreißig. Jeremia, Jahasiel, Johanan, Josabad, der Gederathither,
5 Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;
Eleusai, Jerimoth, Bealja, Semarja, Sephatja, der Harophiter,
6 Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
Elkana, Jissia, Asareel, Joeser, Jasobeam, die Korahiter,
7 and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

8 Some Gadites joined David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains:
Von den Gaditern sonderten sich aus zu David nach dem sichern Ort in der Wüste, da er sich verborgen hatte, starke Helden und Kriegsleute, die Schild und Spieß führten, und ihr Angesicht wie der Löwen, und schnell wie die Rehe auf den Bergen:
9 Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
der erste: Eser, der zweite: Obadja, der dritte: Eliab,
10 Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
der vierte: Masmanna, der fünfte: Jeremia,
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
der sechste: Atthai, der siebente: Eliel,
12 Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
der achte: Johanan, der neunte: Elsabad,
13 Jeremiah the tenth, and Machbannai the eleventh.
der zehnte: Jeremia, der elfte: Machbannai.
14 These of the sons of Gad were captains of the army. He who was least was equal to one hundred, and the greatest to one thousand.
Diese waren von den Kindern Gad, Häupter im Heer, der Kleinste über hundert und der größte über tausend.
15 These are those who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all who lived in the valleys, both toward the east and toward the west.
Die sind's, die über den Jordan gingen im ersten Monat, da er voll war an beiden Ufern, und verjagten alle, die in den Gründen wohnten, gegen Morgen und gegen Abend.
16 Some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David.
Es kamen aber auch Kinder Benjamins und Juda's zu David an seinen sichern Ort.
17 David went out to meet them, and answered them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”
David aber ging heraus zu ihnen, und antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Kommt ihr im Frieden zu mir und mir zu helfen, so soll mein Herz mit euch sein; kommt ihr aber mit List und mir zuwider zu sein, da doch kein Frevel an mir ist, so sehe der Gott unsrer Väter darein und strafe es.
18 Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse. Peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them and made them captains of the band.
Aber der Geist ergriff Amasai, den Hauptmann unter den dreißig: Dein sind wir, David, und mit dir halten wir's, du Sohn Isais. Friede, Friede sei mit dir! Friede sei mit deinen Helfern! denn dein Gott hilft dir. Da nahm sie David an und setzte sie zu Häuptern über die Kriegsleute.
19 Some of Manasseh also joined David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they didn’t help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will desert to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”
Und von Manasse fielen zu David, da er kam mit den Philistern wider Saul zum Streit und half ihnen nicht. Denn die Fürsten der Philister ließen ihn mit Bedacht von sich und sprachen: Wenn er zu seinem Herrn Saul fiele, so möchte es uns unsern Hals kosten.
20 As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
Da er nun gen Ziklag zog, fielen zu ihm von Manasse Adna, Josabad, Jediael, Michael, Josabad, Elihu, Zilthai, Häupter über tausend in Manasse.
21 They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and were captains in the army.
Und sie halfen David wider die Kriegsleute; denn sie waren alle streitbare Männer und wurden Hauptleute über das Heer.
22 For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.
Auch kamen alle Tage etliche zu David, ihm zu helfen, bis daß es ein großes Heer ward wie ein Heer Gottes.
23 These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the LORD’s word.
Und dies ist die Zahl der Häupter, gerüstet zum Heer, die zu David gen Hebron kamen, das Königreich Sauls zu ihm zu wenden nach dem Wort des HERRN:
24 The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand eight hundred, armed for war.
der Kinder Juda, die Schild und Spieß trugen, waren sechstausend und achthundert, gerüstet zum Heer;
25 Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war: seven thousand one hundred.
der Kinder Simeon, streitbare Helden zum Heer, siebentausend und hundert;
26 Of the children of Levi: four thousand six hundred.
der Kinder Levi viertausend und sechshundert,
27 Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand seven hundred,
und Jojada, der Fürst unter denen von Aaron, mit dreitausend und siebenhundert,
28 and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.
Zadok, ein junger streitbarer Held mit seines Vaters Hause, zweiundzwanzig Oberste;
29 Of the children of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives: three thousand, for until then, the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to Saul’s house.
der Kinder Benjamin, Sauls Brüder, dreitausend (denn bis auf die Zeit hielten ihrer noch viel an dem Hause Saul);
30 Of the children of Ephraim: twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers’ houses.
der Kinder Ephraim zwanzigtausend und achthundert, streitbare Helden und berühmte Männer in ihren Vaterhäusern;
31 Of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
des halben Stammes Manasse achtzehntausend, die mit Namen genannt wurden, daß sie kämen und machten David zum König;
32 Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their command.
der Kinder Isaschar, die verständig waren und rieten, was zu der Zeit Israel tun sollte, zweihundert Hauptleute; und alle ihre Brüder folgten ihrem Wort;
33 Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array with all kinds of instruments of war: fifty thousand who could command and were not of double heart.
von Sebulon, die ins Heer zogen zum Streit, gerüstet mit allerlei Waffen zum Streit, fünfzigtausend, sich in die Ordnung zu schicken einträchtig;
34 Of Naphtali: one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.
von Naphthali tausend Hauptleute und mit ihnen, die Schild und Spieß führten, siebenunddreißigtausend;
35 Of the Danites who could set the battle in array: twenty-eight thousand six hundred.
von Dan, zum Streit gerüstet, achtundzwanzigtausend sechshundert;
36 Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array: forty thousand.
von Asser, die ins Heer zogen, gerüstet zum Streit, vierzigtausend;
37 On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle: one hundred twenty thousand.
von jenseit des Jordans, von den Rubenitern, Gaditern und dem halben Stamm Manasse, mit allerlei Waffen zum Streit, hundertzwanzigtausend.
38 All these were men of war who could order the battle array, and came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
Alle diese Kriegsleute, die das Heer ordneten, kamen von ganzem Herzen gen Hebron, David zum König zu machen über ganz Israel. Auch war alles andere Israel eines Herzens, daß man David zum König machte.
39 They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had supplied provisions for them.
Und sie waren daselbst bei David drei Tage, aßen und tranken; denn ihre Brüder hatten für sie zubereitet.
40 Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
Auch welche die nächsten um sie waren, bis hin an Isaschar, Sebulon und Naphthali, die brachten Brot auf Eseln, Kamelen, Maultieren und Rindern, Speise von Mehl, Kuchen von Feigen und Rosinen, Wein, Öl, Rinder, Schafe die Menge; denn es war Freude in Israel.
