< Romans 10 >
1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.
Koeinaakhqi, kak kawlung ngaihnaak ing Israel thlangkhqi ham kak cykcahnaak taw a mingmih hul na ami awm thainaak aham ni.
2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Khawsa benawh kawlung pe uhy tice sim nyng, cehlai ami peeknaak ce cyihnaak awh am hang uhy.
3 For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Khawsa ven awhkawng ak law dyngnaak ce a sim kaana a mimah a dyngnaak doeng ce sai aham cai uhy, Khawsa dyngnaak awh am pe qu uhy.
4 For Christ is the fulfilment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Khrih taw anaa awi a dytnaak na awm nawh ak cangnaak thlang boeih aham dyngnaak ce awm hy.
5 For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.”
Anaa awi ak caming dyngnaak ce Mosi ing: Ve a ik-oeihkhqi ak sai thlang taw vekkhqi ak caming hqing kaw,” tinawh a na qee hy.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down);
Cehlai cangnaak ak caming dyngnaak ingtaw vemyihna kqawn hy: “Nak kawk khuiawh, ‘U nu khawk khan na a kaai hly?’ Cetaw Khrih ak kqum law tinaak ni.
7 or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)” (Abyssos )
Am awhtaw, ‘U nu ceeikhuina ak kqum hly? Cetaw thihnaak awhkawng Khrih a thawh law hly tinaak ni) koeh ti uh,’ tihy. (Abyssos )
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach:
Cawhtaw ikawmyihna a ti? “Awi taw na venawh awm hy; nam kha ingkaw nak kawlung khuiawh awm hy,” ti nawh kqawn hy; cetaw cangnaak awi ningnih ing nik khypyi ve ni:
9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
“Jesu taw Boei ni, tinawh nam kha ing dyih pyi nawh, thihnaak awhkawng anih ce Khawsa ing thawh tlaih hy, tinawh nak kawlung ing nak cangnaak awhtaw hul na awm kawp ti,” ti ve.
10 For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
Ikawtih kawlung ing nak cangnaak dawngawh a ni dyng sak na awm nawh, nam kha ing na pho a dawngawh a ni hul na awm hy.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
U awm anih ce ak ypnaak thlang taw ityk awh awm chahqai na am awm kaw,” tinawh Cakciim ing kqawn hy.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.
Juda ingkaw Gentel haanaak am awm voel hy – cawhkaw Bawipa ce thlang boeih a Bawipa na awm nawh amah ak khykhqi boeih a venawh zoseennaak khawzah pehy –
13 For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
kawtih, U awm Bawipa ang ming ak khykhqi boeih taw hulnaak hu kaw”
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?
Cawhtaw, amak cangnaak ing ikawmyihna ak khynaak thai kaw? Ikawmyihna a mang zaak awhtaw anih ce ak cangnaak kaw? A mingmih a venawh u ing amak kqawn peek awhtaw ikawmyihna ang zaak naak kaw?
15 And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Thlang amni tyih awhtaw ikawmyihna khypyi na a awm thai kaw? “Awithang leek ak haw lawkung khqi a khaw taw leek soeih soeih mah hy!” tinawh qee hyt na awm hawh hy.
16 But they didn’t all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
Cehlai Israelkhqi boeih ing awithang leek ce am do uhy. Isaiah ing, “Bawipa, kaimih ak awih kqawn ve u ing nu ak cangnaak?” a na ti amyihna.
17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Cangnaak taw awi zaaknaak awhkawng ni a law, awi taw Khrih ak awi zaaknaak awhkawng awm hy.
18 But I say, didn’t they hear? Yes, most certainly, “Their sound went out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
Cehlai doet lah vang: Am za unawh nu? Za uhy: A mingmih ak awi ce khawmdek penglum pha nawh, ak awikhqi ce khawmdek a dytnaak dy pha hy.”
19 But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation. I will make you angry with a nation void of understanding.”
Doet tlaih lah vang nyng: Israelkhqi ing am zasim unawh nu? Lamma cyk awh Mosi ing, “Qam na amak dyi thlangkhqi ce ni yt sak kawng nyng saw; zaksimnaak amak ta qam ingqawi nak kaw ni so sak kawng,” a na tihy.
20 Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those who didn’t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.”
Isaiah ing qaal leeknaak ing, Kai a manik sui thlangkhqi ing ni hu unawh; kai a manik sui thlangkhqi venawh dang pe nyng,” tinawh anak kqawn hy.
21 But about Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
Cehlai Israelkhqi awh ce, awi amak ngai thlangkhqi ingkaw kai anik oelhkhqi aham khawnghi zuung ka baan phyl nyng,” tinawh kqawn bai hy.
