< Psalms 35 >
1 By David. Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.
Salimo la Davide. Inu Yehova, mulimbane nawo amene akulimbana nane; mumenyane nawo amene akumenyana nane.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.
Tengani chishango ndi lihawo; dzukani ndipo bwerani mundithandize.
3 Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”
Tengani mkondo ndi nthungo, kulimbana ndi iwo amene akundithamangitsa. Uzani moyo wanga kuti, “Ine ndine chipulumutso chako.”
4 Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonour. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.
Iwo amene akufunafuna moyo wanga anyozedwe ndi kuchita manyazi; iwo amene akukonza kuti moyo wanga uwonongeke abwerere mʼmbuyo mochititsa mantha.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind, the LORD’s angel driving them on.
Akhale ngati mankhusu owuluka ndi mphepo pamene mngelo wa Yehova akuwapirikitsa.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery, the LORD’s angel pursuing them.
Njira yawo ikhale ya mdima ndi yoterera pamene mngelo wa Yehova akuwathamangitsa.
7 For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.
Popeza ananditchera ukonde popanda chifukwa ndipo popanda chifukwa andikumbira dzenje,
8 Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.
chiwonongeko chiwapeza modzidzimutsa ukonde umene iwo abisa uwakole, agwere mʼdzenje kuti awonongedwe.
9 My soul shall be joyful in the LORD. It shall rejoice in his salvation.
Pamenepo moyo wanga udzakondwera mwa Yehova ndi kusangalala ndi chipulumutso chake.
10 All my bones shall say, “LORD, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”
Thupi langa lidzafuwula mokondwera, “Ndani angafanane nanu Yehova? Mumalanditsa osauka kwa amene ali ndi mphamvu zambiri, osauka ndi osowa kwa iwo amene amawalanda.”
11 Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.
Mboni zopanda chisoni zinayimirira, zinandifunsa zinthu zimene sindikuzidziwa.
12 They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.
Iwo anandibwezera zoyipa pa zabwino ndipo anasiya moyo wanga pa chisoni.
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.
Koma pamene iwo ankadwala, ine ndinavala chiguduli ndi kudzichepetsa ndekha posala zakudya. Pamene mapemphero anga anabwerera kwa ine osayankhidwa,
14 I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.
ndinayendayenda ndi kulira maliro, kumulira ngati bwenzi langa kapena mʼbale wanga. Ndinaweramitsa mutu wanga mosweka mtima kukhala ngati ndikulira amayi anga.
15 But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. They tore at me, and didn’t cease.
Koma pamene ndinaphunthwa, iwo anasonkhana mosangalala; ondithira nkhondo anasonkhana kutsutsana nane, ineyo osadziwa. Iwo sanasiye kundiyankhulira mawu onyoza.
16 Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.
Monga anthu osapembedza, iwo anandinyoza mwachipongwe; anandikukutira mano awo.
17 Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.
Ambuye, mpaka liti mudzakhala mukungoyangʼana? Landitsani moyo wanga ku chiwonongeko chawo, moyo wanga wopambana ku mikango.
18 I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you amongst many people.
Ndidzakuyamikani mu msonkhano waukulu; pakati pa gulu lalikulu la anthu ndidzakutamandani.
19 Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.
Musalole adani anga onyenga akondwere chifukwa cha masautso anga; musalole kuti amene amadana nane popanda chifukwa andiyangʼane chamʼmbali mondinyoza.
20 For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.
Iwowo sayankhula mwamtendere, koma amaganizira zonamizira iwo amene amakhala mwabata mʼdziko.
21 Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, “Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”
Iwo amandiseka mofuwula ndipo amati, “Haa! Haa! Ndipo ndi maso athuwa ife taziona.”
22 You have seen it, LORD. Don’t keep silent. Lord, don’t be far from me.
Yehova mwaona zimenezi; musakhale chete. Ambuye musakhale kutali ndi ine.
23 Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!
Dzukani, ndipo nyamukani kunditeteza! Mulimbane nawo chifukwa cha ine, Mulungu wanga ndi Ambuye anga.
24 Vindicate me, LORD my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.
Onetsani kusalakwa kwanga mwa chilungamo chanu, Inu Yehova Mulungu wanga. Musalole kuti akondwere chifukwa cha mavuto anga.
25 Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”
Musalole kuti aganize kuti, “Amati atani, zachitika monga momwe timafunira!” Kapena kunena kuti, “Tamutha ameneyu basi.”
26 Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonour who magnify themselves against me.
Onse amene amakondwera ndi masautso anga achite manyazi ndi kusokonezeka. Onse amene amadzikweza kufuna kundipambana, avekedwe manyazi ndi mnyozo ngati zovala.
27 Let those who favour my righteous cause shout for joy and be glad. Yes, let them say continually, “May The LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!”
Koma amene amakondwera chifukwa chakuti ndine wosalakwa, afuwule mwachimwemwe ndi chisangalalo. Nthawi zonse azinena kuti, “Yehova akwezeke, Iye amene amakondwera ndi kupeza bwino kwa mtumiki wake.”
28 My tongue shall talk about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.
Pakamwa panga padzayankhula za chilungamo chanu ndi za matamando anu tsiku lonse.
