Psalms 114

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language,

১যখন ইস্রায়েল মিশর থেকে চলে এল, যাকোবের বংশ বিদেশী লোক থেকে,

2 Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

২যিহূদা হল তার ধর্মস্থান, ইস্রায়েল হল তাঁর রাজ্য।

3 The sea saw it, and fled. The Jordan was driven back.

৩সমুদ্র দেখল এবং পালিয়ে গেল, যর্দ্দন ফিরে এল।

4 The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.

৪পর্বতরা মেষের মতো লাফ দিলো, পাহাড়রা লাফ দিল মেষশাবকের মতো।

5 What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back?

৫কেন তুমি পালিয়ে গেলে সমুদ্র? যর্দ্দন, কেন তুমি ফিরে এলে?

6 You mountains, that you skipped like rams? You little hills, like lambs?

৬পর্বতরা, কেন তোমরা মেষের মতো লাফ দিলে? ছোটো পর্বতেরা, কেন তোমরা মেষশাবকের মতো লাফ দিলে?

7 Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

৭পৃথিবী, প্রভুর সামনে, যাকোবের ঈশ্বরের সামনে কেঁপে ওঠ।

8 who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of waters.

৮তিনি শিলাকে পুকুরে পরিণত করলেন, শক্ত শিলাকে জলের উৎসে পরিণত করলেন।
