< Proverbs 29 >
1 He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.
Munhu anoramba akaomesa mutsipa wake mushure mokutsiurwa kazhinji achaparadzwa nokukurumidza, kusina chingamubatsira.
2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
Kana vakarurama vachiwanda, vanhu vanofara; asi kana vakaipa vachitonga, vanhu vanogomera.
3 Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
Munhu anoda uchenjeri anouyisa mufaro kuna baba vake, asi anoshamwaridzana nechifeve anoparadza pfuma yake.
4 The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down.
Nokururamisira mambo anosimbisa nyika, asi uyo anokara fufuro anoiparadza.
5 A man who flatters his neighbour spreads a net for his feet.
Ani naani anonyengera muvakidzani wake anodzikira tsoka dzake mumbure.
6 An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad.
Munhu akaipa anoteyiwa nezvivi zvake, asi munhu akarurama anogona kuimba uye agofara.
7 The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren’t concerned about knowledge.
Vakarurama vane hanya nokururamisirwa kwavarombo, asi vakaipa havana hanya naizvozvo.
8 Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.
Vatuki vanomutsa bope muguta, asi vanhu vakachenjera vanodzora kutsamwa.
9 If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, the fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace.
Kana munhu akachenjera akaenda kumatare nebenzi, benzi rinotsamwa uye rigotuka, zvokuti hapangavi norugare.
10 The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; and they seek the life of the upright.
Vanhu vanofarira kudeura ropa vanovenga munhu akarurama, uye vanotsvaka kuuraya vakarurama.
11 A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.
Benzi rinobudisa hasha dzaro dzose, asi munhu akachenjera anozvibata.
12 If a ruler listens to lies, all of his officials are wicked.
Kana mutongi akateerera nhema machinda ake ose achava akaipa.
13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both.
Murombo nomunhu anomanikidza vakafanana pachinhu ichi: Jehovha ndiye anoita kuti meso avo vose aone.
14 The king who fairly judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.
Kana mambo akatonga varombo nokururamisira, chigaro chake choushe chinogara chakachengetedzeka nguva dzose.
15 The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
Shamhu yokuranga inopa uchenjeri, asi mwana anosiyiwa akadaro achanyadzisa mai vake.
16 When the wicked increase, sin increases; but the righteous will see their downfall.
Kana vakaipa vachiwanda, nezvivi zvinowandawo, asi vakarurama vachaona kuwa kwavo.
17 Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
Ranga mwanakomana wako, ipapo achakupa rugare; achauyisa mufaro kumweya wako.
18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.
Pasina chizaruro, vanhu vanoramba kuzvidzora; asi akaropafadzwa uyo anochengeta murayiro.
19 A servant can’t be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond.
Muranda haarayirwi namashoko zvawo chete, nokuti kunyange achinzwisisa, haangadaviri.
20 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Unoona here munhu anotaura achikurumidza? Benzi rine tariro zhinji kupfuura iye.
21 He who pampers his servant from youth will have him become a son in the end.
Kana munhu akaregerera muranda wake kubva paudiki, achazotarisira kodzero dzomwanakomana pakupedzisira.
22 An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.
Munhu akashatirwa anomutsa kupesana, uye munhu ane hasha anoita zvivi zvizhinji.
23 A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honour.
Kuzvikudza kwomunhu kunomudzikisira pasi, asi munhu ane mweya wokuzvininipisa achawana kukudzwa.
24 Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify.
Anoshamwaridzana nembavha anozvivenga iye pachake; anoiswa pasi pemhiko, asi haangakwanisi kupa uchapupu.
25 The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe.
Kutya munhu kuchava musungo, asi ani naani anovimba naJehovha achagara akachengetedzeka.
26 Many seek the ruler’s favour, but a man’s justice comes from the LORD.
Vazhinji vanotsvaka nyasha kumutongi, asi kururamisirwa kwomunhu kunobva kuna Jehovha.
27 A dishonest man detests the righteous, and the upright in their ways detest the wicked.
Vakarurama vanovenga vasina kutendeka; vakaipa vanovenga vakarurama.
